"Lackluster" Me and my partner decided to stop by the Hana Banana today for a sweet treat. We both agreed we probably will not come back here to be honest. Upon entering it felt as if the store looked a little bit messy. Over the counter in the refrigerators you can see food and jugs of products not organized and thrown around. Even their counter where they put the toppings in looked really messy. It smelt great inside like crepes and waffles but the appearance just was too icky for me. Service was nothing memorable. Nothing horrible either so i have no qualms when it comes to that. The food itself was just fine. I know the waffle was dense and not that sweet. I appreciate the abundance of food but it just didn't make up for the lack of flavor. Something about it all tasted off. The crepe was rubbery and didn't have a good flavor to it either. We both didn't finish our deserts. It was a bit pricey in my opinion but at least they are giving out big portions. I wouldn't go to this spot if you're looking for a sweet spot at the fountains.

Hana Banana Crepes are HUGE. Even thou they have samples for you to look at and notice you will truly feel it once you order one for one person snd your tummy is like WOW. Hana Banana crepes sizes are big enough for 2-4 people. This is a cute place to come for dessert when the sun came down and enjoy outside with a date. Before coming here I had in mind a crepe with Nutella but then I was offered the crepe with ice cream (new concept for me) so I tried and it was good. I still enjoy a classic crepe best. Customer Service was not amazing, and they took longer than thought to serve.

As far as taste, I would give this 5 stars. However, I was literally the only person inside when I walked in, & the two ladies standing there didn't greet me at all. I brushed it off, but when I asked the one who got out a tub of ice cream without me ordering yet if they had any savory crepes, she seemed miffed to tell me that they did. Then, when I quickly decided what I wanted & told her, she said in a very short tone, "She can take your order over there." None of this is worthy of one star, alone, but then when my husband & I got cold waiting outside, I went inside just to see if it was warmer in there. When I walked in, the cashier asked me if I was going to order something else. I said, "No, it's just cold outside, so I was just trying to get my husband to come in." She said, "You have to wait outside." I said, "I have to even though the door says maximum of 4 people & we're the only ones here?" She said, "Yes, you have to." I realize we're all concerned about COVID, but standing at the back of the waiting area with my husband & I as the only people would have meant that 2 more people still could have come in & we all would have been more than 6 feet apart... but there weren't even any other people. Long story short: if you're not concerned about being tested with dignity, then go for the food!

Came here on Halloween for a cheat day. For my one day of the week where I break my 50g/day carb this was junk beyond junk. This location would be better off not filling their crepes and just selling the skin. The whip cream was mostly hydrogenated fat no milky savory flavor, icecream was very watery and melted way too fast, the brownie and cheesecake tasted freezer burnt. Cashier charged me for bottled water but didn't give it to my friend when he picked up my order. We were so done with the crepes we didn't even want to go back in the store. I know better now to get soft serve at McDonald for cheat day if I want something junky.

[ SERVICE ] When my sister and I arrived, there was no line so we took our time with deciding on what to order. It was our first time there and the cashier was very friendly and helpful in her suggestions to us. After we paid and was waiting for our crepes, there was an increase in the amount of visitors but was surprised at how fast the line moved. Very fast and friendly service! [ THE NOMS ] My sister and I ordered the #5 which was the Crepe + Ice Cream + 1 Topping combo ($6.30). They had a variety of ice cream flavors to choose from and also some toppings. We ordered our crepe with Cookies n' Creme ice cream, topped with strawberries, and drizzled with Nutella syrup. My sister also ordered a one of their milk tea boba drinks (that seem to be set at one size and priced at $4.49). I was a little disappointed with the drink - it tasted pretty bland and lacked consistency with some of the tapioca pearls falling apart and others were hard to chew. [ AMBIANCE ] The shop has indoor seating for a few and there are also tables outside. Overall appearance was neat and clean. Lines move fast so crowds were not a problem when we visited. Overall, our experience was good. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and tasty crepes! I like how you can watch them make your order and the fruits they use taste so fresh!

Hana Banana is a great dessert alternative to the frozen yogurt places at The Fountains, they specialize in crepes and waffles, and make both of them really well. I honestly had never thought of having a waffle in a non-breakfast setting, but I was feeling adventurous and was pleasantly surprised. Had a waffle topped with ice cream and whipped cream and loved it, the warmth of the waffle gets the ice cream to the sweet spot right before it starts melting, it's a tasty treat! Topping selection is a tad limited, mostly fruits and nuts, but it still allows for many combinations. Crepes do take a little while, because that's what most people order and it's a more delicate process, but waffles are done quickly. The place is tiny and there are only a couple of tables outside, but it is right on the promenade level, so you can take your dessert to one of the many outdoor seating spots in the Fountains. Definitely worth checking out!

Just tried their delicious crepe with nutella sauce and bananas. Bam! Love how they make your crepe right in front of you so theres nothing but the promise of fresh goodness! You smell the aroma of what one might think as a waffle cone being cooked up and the finished product is even presented as so. It was delicious and huge! I love how they dont overprice it. Just 5$ for the one topping! Im happy

The waffle is beneath all of the ice cream and toppings. Haha. Really good.

The staff here are beyond enthusiastic -- the kind of people who greet you like you're already part of the crew. Their positivity alone is a mood booster. They've got all the fun stuff: protein donuts, waffles, açaí bowls, smoothies, refreshers, and even protein coffee -- plus vegan options, which is always a win in my book. Everything feels playful and health-forward, like a mix between a post-gym refuel spot and a feel-good café. Prices are definitely on the higher side for this part of town, but you can tell they're using quality ingredients and putting care into presentation. They said, we can't do 12 (I figured as much) and our new hires generally start "low". During the hiring process, I was NOT told the actual starting pay was $8/hour during a probation period. (I assumed "low" meant the $10 on the 10 to 14 range I saw on the posted job listing. Shame on me for not realizing the use of logic was optional ). That only came up after I had already accepted the job and started onboarding. It was actually my coworkers that said the new hires started $8 an hour. That's when I asked about pay clarification. "$8" never came up during the interview. When I brought it up, it was THEN confirmed that all new hires start at $8/hour for a few weeks and can get a raise after that. I was also told tips factor into "effective hourly pay," but tips aren't guaranteed and fluctuate too much to realistically count on when you're trying to budget your life. Telling me that I "technically" make $10 an hour with tips is BS. I "technically" have bills to pay and I can't budget my finances based on a technicality. **And if any of you reading this are teenagers looking to get a job here, she specifically told me she doesn't like hiring teenagers because they're unreliable. Yet when I approached her with a very professional message regarding my pay concerns she ghosted me for 3 days, and counting. Who's acting like a teenager now? (No offense to any of you, just running with what she said). I'm not mad about there being a probation period or a starting rate. I'm frustrated that the actual starting pay wasn't clearly communicated upfront compared to the advertised range. I took the job based on that posted range, and the reality didn't match what was presented when I applied. If the 10 to $14 an hour range doesn't match the pay in El Paso then that needs to be the very first thing you bring up during the interview. She said that that posting was from corporate and doesn't reflect the local pay. Maybe lead with that next time. If you just need a few extra bucks on the side, or you're just starting out with your first job, then as Krusty the Clown says, "It's not just good, it's good enough."
