    Low effort açaí bowl

The girl ( long brunette, VERY skinny very alternative looking with bangs ) didn't interact with me at all aside from "cash or card". There wasn't a friendly atmosphere even with the bright colors and playful music. I sit down and less than 2 min. Later I get a bag of my açaí bowl even though I'm comfortably sat at a table and never said to go(felt very much like a "we don't want you or really anyone to stay ) and my açaí bowl is LACKING. It's literally the worst açaí bowl I've ever had , there was basically no smoothie part and the fruit was unappetizing . Charged me $11 and some change for a very small childs bowl. 0/10 would actually recommend to not come by this business.

Place was spotless and clean when I walked in! Was greeted immediately by the staff. I asked for recommendations and she was very thorough describing the items and how the combos worked. We got a island green smoothie, a Bahama mama and a couple quesadillas. Everything was delicious and FRESH. What really stood out was the service, They knew how to smile and treat customers which is rare these days. A+ for Ellie the rest of the staff.

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews here because this tropical smoothie location in Friendswood is great!

Fat Andy's -- First Visit Review…read more Fat Andy's has taken to social media to promote their product, and the posts feature Andrew, who must be our very own Fat Andy. We decided to take an early lunch and head over to Santa Fe to give the place a go. The establishment presents as clean and friendly, with a bit of an unfinished, "there is more to come" vibe. It feels like a good startup should. Andy was manning the counter and seemed to genuinely enjoy engaging with customers as they ordered. He pointed out the specials a few times as we grazed the menu selections. The hot pastrami had its very own sign, so I took that as a sign. I like a good pastrami. We picked out a table and waited for our food. After a short while, we heard our name called and I retrieved the wrapped sandwiches. The missus had the half turkey, and I went with the full-size hot pastrami. Now, before I go too far, my first instinct was to order the monster signature sandwich called "The Fat Andy." I did have that pang of guilt at first, thinking I really didn't want to be Fat Jeff anymore, so I thought better of it. The sandwiches were good. The ingredients were fresh, the lettuce was crisp, and the peppers on my pastrami were absolutely a winner. No disappointment there at all. The portions were healthy, and the side of pasta I chose was spot on with its mix of ingredients and the tang of the dressing. The sandwich bread, or hoagie rolls, were solid and appeared to be fresh. All of that being said, we found Fat Andy's to be a good value. For some critique -- and I go back to not ordering the signature sandwich, which looked from the menu description to have some special touches -- the sandwiches we ordered on this first visit were made with the same type of ingredients one can buy at most deli counters featuring Boar's Head products. The bread was good, but not fancy, and did not seem to contain anything especially unique that made it feel like a signature sandwich experience. Now don't get me wrong. Even with great ingredients, there is skill in putting together a good sandwich, so I am not discounting them on where they source their products. But a true deli sandwich experience requires something that makes the place stand out just a little. Aside from the great personality Andy brings to his customers, the sandwiches on this trip did not make me feel like they stood above most other good deli sandwiches. That said, I live a very short drive from Andy's, and I hope to watch it grow. I also hope to experience more of the fun Andy seems to be having by sharing his food and his creations with the community. I encourage everyone to give Andy a shout and tell him Jeff sent you. And next time, I'm going in for the Fat Jeff... Uhh, I meant to say "The Fat Andy."

I was over on the east side of town and realized that the drive to this location in Friendswood wasn't far. I placed an order on the app for a large Turkey sandwich and used a freebie to redeem a regular drink. When I arrived, there was only one employee working and it was a bit busier than I was expecting. My sandwich wasn't ready, but the employee said he was working on it and handed me a cup to get my drink. While he was working on all of the orders, he brought condiments over to another table after making their sandwiches and was basically holding it down. After about 10 minutes, my food was finally ready. The employee was very nice and apologized for the wait. When I got home, it dawned on my that my sandwich seemed a bit small. I double checked the receipt and it said a large sandwich, but turns out he gave me a regular size. I even pulled out measuring tape to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I was too hungry to go back and didn't want to drive 30 minutes in the pouring rain to get it sorted out so I just decided to take the L on this one. I really do think it was a genuine mistake, but I'm annoyed I didn't notice it sooner. The sandwich was really good and filling. Hopefully the mistake was just a one time thing.

We love the food here, just wish the customer service was a bit more helpful. No one is rude. It just feels like they're focused on getting the food out rather than answering questions. For me, service is part of the overall experience. One example, the menu doesn't list ingredients for the shaking beef banh mi. I asked what was in it and got a pretty vague answer like "beef" and a few other items. When it came out, it had sour cream, which wasn't mentioned. I can eat it, just not my preference, so it would've been nice to know upfront. * Garlic wings - according to my wife, absolutely amazing * Pork & egg banh mi - really good and fully loaded * Egg rolls - good size and fried perfectly * Char siu pork stir fried noodles - nice kick from the black pepper * Shrimp fried rice - simple but flavorful * Shaking beef banh mi - different from what I usually get (with rice), still tasty overall The inside is tight and not really suited for big groups--more of a quick in-and-out kind of place.

I ordered the stir fried noodle with Sweet chili wings and to pork tacos that are the size of a size 6 in a woman's shoe. Stuffed with meaty goodness and topped with fresh cilantro, onions and their salsa all wrapped in comfort with corn tortillas and then wrapped in shiny foil paper. The wait for online orders is about a 25-30 minutes as it is a tiny kitchen, serving HUGE flavors. The place is always popping with guest enjoying their libations and soaking it up with the cuisine. Small, outside seating available with nice couches and bar tables to feast. I highly recommend if you haven't partook already. Love the ambiance, love the people. These people cook like how Jesus loves people.
