I recently moved to Arizona and discovered Tropical Smoothie Cafe so I decided to stop by. As a first time customer, I didn't know what was good or popular but I asked the store employees who gave me many options. That said, I happened to see there was a Watermelon Mojito smoothie, which called to me so I ordered that. It was beyond delicious! Since then I have gone back to reorder this drink multiple times until one day, the cafe didn't have this anymore due to it being seasonal. This is where my disappointment comes in because in Arizona, it's always warm so this specific drink NEEDS to be year round, especially as it's very popular. The sweet girl at this location (I don't recall her name) who knows what my order when I come in feels so bad knowing this item is not available so I told her I would leave a review because of this. Corporate needs to bring this flavor back asap and keep it year round. Period. Make it happen! read more

Food was alright like always. I didn't appreciate how slow the workers were when it came to my order. I was second in line when I ordered just a simple green detox smoothie with PEA protein and the lady put in my order. There was probably four more people right after me while I was waiting, the lady that took my order just gave me my food without my drink and as I'm sitting there I noticed her and another girl working on the other smoothies but skipped me and gave everyone behind me theirs. I had to asked a lady working on a smoothie where is mine and she quickly made it but I also realize she put in the wrong protein powder I didn't say anything at first because I assumed it was possibly someone else's nor did I have the time to fix this situation so I thanked them and left. I'm making this review because I've had better service here before with different staff members plus most of the time they actually listen and make sure there is PEA protein and not whey because I am allergic to it so thanks for ruining my smoothie! Good smoothies and I really craved one when i was under the weather in December. i have gone back a few times since then. My favorite is açaí berry boost with no sweetener. The best way I prefer to order is on the app and pickup so i don't have a wait. I don't recommend the food but that's just my experience. The smoothies are overpriced but the serving size is large so it kind of evens it out. The service is ok not always friendly. read more

What an absolute dog water of a place to go to. I waited at the window for 10 minutes to get a single drink a single drink! This made me late for work. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I called the store to speak with the manager who wasn't there? Food is expensive and their card reader? It feels stuck on 15% tip. First timer! SO GOOD! I grabbed a hummus veggie wrap w banana as my side. The wrap was pleasantly satisfying, large and well made packed with its ingredients as listed! I asked for a water cup and was served a large ice water with a lid and straw instead of a little plastic cup and the nice girl at the register let me pick a toy for my son! All of the veggies and the hummus were so fresh and flavorful, the wrap was heated well and the perfect quick lunch. The menu looked so wonderful I'll be back to try it all! The wraps here are amazing, which is slightly surprising because it's a chain smoothie shop. I was also very happy with the service. I had gone to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Florida a bunch of times and got the same thing every time. I loved the avocado smoothie and the peanut butter wrap. I also tried the chicken pesto wrap, and that was delicious. This time around, I saw it was nearby and my sister, my son, and I were out and about and got hungry. I remember how much my son loved the peanut butter crunch wrap, which is on a breakfast menu but served all day. It's made with peanut butter, banana, and granola served warm in a wrap. My sister got the chicken pesto wrap and she loved it. She said it was the perfect size. We also got the Greek yogurt parfait which was delicious, altogether the prices were very reasonable. Under $40 and we also got the sunrise/sunset tropical smoothie. The place was clean, the service was fast, the food was good, I will definitely be coming back here. It's like the mcdonald's of smoothies, you know it's not that good quality and over priced and it's kind of a gamble, you either get your food made by the hands of god or by your worst enemy....but you still go back. I love the flat breads and wraps (kinda) but this last time i decided to be healthy and get a salad which was a big mistake. Way to small for the price, topping we're crappy and the lettuce was wilted... like all of it. I got the bottom of the barrel lettuce, anyways my point here is to not get the salads here. read more

When everything is prepared correctly, this place is amazing! The problem is, it is RARELY prepared correctly. Out of the last 10 visits, only twice was my order fully correct. I guess I'm the fool for continuing to hope they'll get better. Some consistent issues are: - Missing ingredients in sandwich - Food is not fully heated so cheese is not melted and sandwich is cold - Missing side - Smoothies always taste different, likely missing an entire ingredient sometimes I usually face two of the above issues each order, but this last time had all 4 boxes checked. Other than being excessively slow, the quality was horrible. The peanut butter flat bread was a complete mess with honey all over the outside of the wrapper. My chicken wrap barely had any chicken. Everyone here is pretty friendly. We have been coming weekly since this location opened. The biggest bonus is the kiwi quencher is my daughters favorite smoothie but about once every 5 times or so the smoothie is very icy tastes more like a slushee and that can be irritating when you pay nearly $20 for two smoothies. Also frustrating that you can't order any smoothies in kids sizes. If you want a kid size you are limited to the 2 or 3 options they have for kids. For some reason I just get the ick from ordering food here so I don't do it. My biggest gripe is cleanliness. The first few times we came in the bathrooms were sooo clean but now I'm chalking that up to the fact that they just opened because it truly looks like they clean their bathrooms once a month. my husband and i came in 20-15 min before close on saturday the 15th and before i say anything negative the smoothies we got were the best smoothies i've had in a very long time so that was cool but i will say there was a girl working she looked around 16ish , she was white , short, and had blonde hair. as soon as we walked in she very loudly commented "how did i know" and started laughing and continued nonchalantly talking shit about my husband and i and the family that came in right before us. i honestly found it funny because i've never seen anyone with such shitty customer service and it gave me a good laugh. i understand everyone complains , but have the decency to not do it in front of their face especially when your working lol. it says it's closed online but I am 100% certain it was open when we arrived before 9am this morning. It was quite an interesting experience my husband and I had. My husband and I ordered and a few reasonable moments later we received our two drinks. We both started to drink them and even shared with each other to determine whose is better. About another minute later, we were offered a third drink in our order. We explained that we already got our drinks and we only ordered two. The girl looked at the drink in her hand, my drink, and then my husband's drink. She read all the tickets (we did not), and explained that she gave us the wrong drink. She took my husbands drink, while explaining that "it's been that kind of morning". My initial thought was "oh I hope she isn't going to throw this away, I mean she should have at least offered it to us before throwing it away, we were just drinking out of it, surely she cannot use it for anything else...right?" I was still curious about what she was going to do with the third drink but wasn't paying too much attention. Very quickly after, she came from behind the counter with, a new drink which she handed to a guy behind us who was looking at his phone not paying any attention. After he left the store with the drink it occurred to me... virtually no time passed and I am certain I did not hear a blender... Did she just give that man the drink my husband and I were sharing moments ago? By the time it occurred to us that man was long gone. on our way back to our car my husband shared the same thoughts... we are both certain she put a new lid on our old drink and gave it to this man who we are complete strangers to.
