Had some time to kill so went looking for a place with smoothies and settled on this place, tucked in a strip mall South of Gilbert' road restaurant row. I was greeted with a smiling hello. I chose the Black Forrest smoothie which came garnished with fresh fruit and I couldn't resist the Salted Date square. They had a nice selection of other pastries, I have a soft spot for a good date. I believe I have been to this shop before but it has been a long time since, so decided to try it out again as I was in the area. I love a mint smoothie or ice cream, so I opted for that flavor. It definitely tasted on the healthier side, I know they put spirulina in it, and I could taste that flavor, as well as the mint and the cocoa nibs. The cocoa nibs were not blended enough so I had to chew them. I do like that they have a lot of options across the whole menu! They had a lot of healthy treats to choose from. I got an almond bar and it was pretty good. Everything is a bit on the pricier side compared to other shops, but I believe it's all organic which is nice. Kaleidoscope is still my go to, so if I'm on Gilbert road I am most likely going to choose that shop. read more

I have not been able to have gluten for many years, and as of a year ago or so - I discovered dairy makes me sick as well. It can be very challenging to find restaurants that have foods available that I can have, but Linden Organic hits all of the marks! Their food is always amazing, the breastfast burritos are a perfect way to start your mornings! The service there is always kind and helpful when asking about the foods they're serving that day in a display case. It's always a very calm and peaceful environment to be in. I've never been inside and felt hurried/rushed, or overwhelmed by other customers. It truly is a wonderful spot for both gluten and dairy allergies, the best part being that you know you won't have a risk of cross-contamination. :) read more

I like variety & am slowly trying all the smoothies on their menu; my favorites so far are the AZ Sunrise & PB & J. What a fun place! The menu is a lot to take in, so I suggest looking beforehand so you have an idea of what you want. The place is quaint, with a few small tables inside to sit down and eat. We went with the Maca bowl (which is easily shareable between 2-4 people), snickers bar, vegan tuna sandwich and their Chickpea salad (in their to go section). I also got their matcha latte with almond milk. Everything was awesome and the owner was super kind and welcoming. The vegan tuna sandwich is clearly the superstar and honestly, a piece of art. Love a good vegan spot, especially ones with healthy/organic food! This is just a small place, you can order stuff to be made or some premade options. I had a hard time deciding between the avocado toast or the heirloom tomato toast, but I get avocado toast all the time so I went for the heirloom tomato toast! It had cashew cheese on it, micro greens, red onion, and a lemon to squeeze. Food came out in a reasonable time, no complaints for service. The food was so so incredibly fresh. YUM! Was refreshing. I got the original acai bowl with came in one size only and probably be shared with at least two people. Nicely presented, the base had plenty of unsweetened acai, grain fee granola (a bit hard but let it sit in the acai to soften up), fresh strawberries, bananas, 2 thin slices of green apple, cocoa nibs, and topped with coconut shavings. Everything was top notch! Recommended the acai bowls here. Looking forward to trying other ones on the menu. Plenty of parking but can get busy. This juicery is in a small plaza. There is plenty of parking available. The inside is very modern and cute. The service is attentive and friendly. The reason for the 3 stars is the price. I understand healthy food as well as dairy free, etc costs more. I just can't understand how the smoothie bowl is $16! I can get an entire gluten free, dairy free meal for that. With tip I walked out with an $18 smoothie bowl. There was a good amount in there and I couldn't finish it in one sitting. It doesn't keep overnight too well though and was not able to finish it the next day due to this. If I'm in the area and craving a smoothie I may stop by, but this is definitely not something sustainable for me to become a regular at. read more

I did a black forest smoothie turned bowel which was delicous! A little pricey but tasted great and came topped with tons of fruit and this amazing granola bark. I also tried their chia seed pudding. Nice but nothing special. Wish they had fruit options and or flavors. I also ordered a cookie dough ball and raw cinnamon roll. I wish there were photos of these so I knew what I was ordering. Out in Gilbert today running errands and decided to see what kind of vegan options they had in the area. I found Karma Apple Juicery they are plant based, organic, and gluten free with raw vegan treats. They open at 10 am I got there at 11am and most of their raw vegan treats were gone. If this is any indication of how good their stuff is I'm excited to try. I have been here a couple of times now and have tried many of their treats and these are my favorites: Blueberry cheesecake Pumpkin tart Raw cinnamon rolls Banana tarts They have good coffee as well I've had the turmeric ginger latte cold-pressed turmeric &ginger, adaptogen with almond milk. I've also had the cold brew latte organic coffee, adaptogen and almond milk. Vegan tuna sandwich gluten-free vegan toast, spring lettuce, tomato, dill, zucchini, pickled onions, radish, garbanzo bean "tuna", pickle which was pretty tasty. While I enjoy their treats they are pretty pricey. I will be back but this is definitely a once and a while treat. read more

Absolutely amazing for vegans and non-vegans alike. I went in for breakfast the other day and indulged in the latte of the day and the heirloom tomato toast. I'm not a religious person, but let me tell you - the toast was a truly out-of-body transcendental experience. I thought all time and space stopped for a brief moment as I relished the balance of flavors and textures in this divine culinary creation. The microgreens were adorned with the most adorable edible flowers and sprinkled with some onion for the most delectable breakfast experience I've had in ages. They served it with a lemon wedge so I drizzled some lemon juice on there and it really made it all pop. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I can't wait to go back for some desserts and a smoothie. Everything on the menu sounds delicious. Plus the staff is super hip, sweet, and on top of it. I didn't know this place existed. I was looking for another business in this little strip mall and stumbled across this gem. Lucky for me I needed to eat. I only have one word to say....amazing! Fresh and bright offering clean ingredients that my soul feels good eating. They made me a bowl and I picked out something from the bakery case. Both perfect. They offer many options of fresh items in a separate case of things smaller and not on the regular menu. The dining area was a bit small but there were some seats outside. I feel like the small space will detour from big growth in business but maybe that's best for us who want to keep this as "our little secret". I will be back for sure. My meal was hand-made to order, and I was glad to wait a few minutes for what I was being served. My Turmeric Ginger Latte was bright and flavorful, (like nothing I had ever tasted before). My avocado toast was just as I expected it to be from the Instagram pics I had drooled over for the days leading up to my visit. Loaded with fresh avocado,(YUM), on top of organic, gluten free, vegan toast, and then topped with orange and red cherry tomatoes, radishes, micro greens, hemp seeds, and a lime - I was in Karma Heaven. I'm pretty sure there were edible flowers on it too, but I had already gobbled it down before I could investigate. I could eat like this everyday. The location: Karma Apple Juicery is nestled in a tiny little suite within a most unlikely business complex off of Gilbert Road. If you head straight for Old Town, you will totally miss it! It is located on the east side of Gilbert Road and just south of Elliot Road in an older strip mall. Parking is located north of the building, and is ample space for Karma and the surrounding businesses. There isn't much for seating, just a small bench and a cute little macrame hammock chair inside. Outside there are two small tables with chairs which was perfect for me, since it was a shaded area and I was too hungry to wait to eat my food! OK Smoothies, Big Prices, Small Sizes This was my first time stopping in to Karma Apple Juicery as I drive by it regularly and thought it had a clever name so I wanted to check it out. I felt like it was a sparsely decorated yet clean and somewhat cute little shop that could've had a lot of potential if the prices were not so inflated. They also offer raw cookie dough if you want to go home and bake your own cookie I guess you could pay $3.50 for the door to go home and make it yourself? I was a bit surprised to find that 12 ounce smoothies are $10-$12! I figured I would give it a shot since I was there even though they were double the price they probably should've been. Upon getting into the vehicle and tasting this smoothie it was OK but not amazing and definitely not worth that much of a price. I would give the smoothie three out of five stars for its quality. I did find a little funny when the girl asked how much I wanted to tip and I was thinking the whole time it's already crazy expensive after tax and a tip I would have $15 or more into a tiny smoothie! All in all two stars is a rough rating but with super small portions, super high prices, and not really that awesome of a flavor coming out of the awaken smoothie that I tried it's hard to give more. read more

What an amazing little gem of a juicery! @karmaappleaz popped up on my Instagram feed, and I immediately went on to Yelp, but was surprised they were not on Yelp yet! It looks like they just opened a few months ago, so they are pretty new. I have only positive things to say about this place. I drove from Old Town Scottsdale because I saw the mermaid smoothie bowl in an Instagram post and was intrigued because of the blue color, which is a result of the E3Live Spirulina that is added to the smoothie bowl. I regularly make my own smoothie bowls at home, but I wanted to be treated, so I decided to try Karma Apple. KAJ has bottled juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, chia puddings, bars, coconut matcha tarts, and more! They only use all organic and vegan ingredients. They will make any smoothie into a smoothie bowl for $2 extra and they also sell juice cleanses which are $60 and come with 5 juices, 1 mylk, and 1 immunity shot. Smoothie Bowl: *Mermaid Smoothie Bowl* E3Live Spirulina gives it the blue color, blended passionfruit and banana, topped with pineapple slice, strawberries, coconut flakes, and sliced bananas, and a cute little umbrella completes the island-mermaidy bowl.
