i'm not one to write reviews at all, but this tropical smoothie has some of the rudest people working that i've ever come into contact with. everytime i walk in, i am greeted with an unfriendly look from the employees and barely a "hello, how are you". it's always a "what do you want" in the most monotoned and rude tone. i get that customer service work is hard, i've been there, but these workers really just ruin my day. if you wanna have a good start to your day or a pick me up after a workout, i don't recommend coming here because the workers will bum out your mood. read more

My son and I went here for some snack then we went to bathroom and found out that our snack were gone... All of them. I asked the worker and she said... O thought you guys left... No sorry... I went here for some smoothies after being recommended by some friends. The employees were very welcoming, nice and made me feel like I wanted to come back for more smoothies. They were also wearing gloves and masks which I greatly appreciated. My recommendations would be: for smoothies: mango magic, detox island green, island green, dragon fruit and jetty punch food wise: i personally like the caprese chicken and the cuban sandwich. It's only been 2 years, but after doing a little shopping and in 85 degree humid heat, that Tropical Smoothie Cafe looked mighty fine to me today. I'm happy to say that my "High Calorie" Jetty was so delicious, I am absolutely hooked. Prices did go up though but not by much, a 24 oz. cup is now $4.79. Love it! You can get a ton of food for ten bucks here and it's all tastey and relatively healthy! The Paradise Combo (totally the way to go!) includes a sandwich/wrap/salad, a side dish (fruit/cookie/chips), and any smoothie off their menu. That's really a great deal. I chose the Thai chicken salad, the Hawaiin Breeze smoothie (which is giant), and a banana. For $10! I also tasted my friend's wrap: banana, peanut butter, and honey, and (although dripping out of the bottom) it was AMAZING. For the price, you can't beat the food and atmosphere at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I get tropical smoothie pretty often and they almost always screw up somehow. Whether it's putting the wrong ingredients in the smoothie, giving me a smoothie that's no where near being filled to the top or not even knowing how to properly give the discounts for their own promotions. They never even ask what side you want with your meal either. Most of the employees don't even seem to really care. I honestly suggest if you live near Levittown tropical smoothie to try going to the Hicksville location. Much better quality. read more

Love all of their smoothies. I usually get a combo of chicken pesto flatbread & peanut paradise smoothie. I like that they have a wide variety of smoothie & sandwich choices. Good prices also. I am officially a fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafe! This was my first time here and I loved the fact that the menu was health conscious. You have three smoothie options to choose from: Low Fat, Supercharge or Simply Indulgent. I purchased the 24 oz Acai Berry Boost which was infused with acai, pomegranate, blueberries and strawberries...YUM! This smoothie gave me a boost of energy and was perfect on a warm day like today. Actually I am day dreaming about that smoothie right now...lol. Let me add that the Southwest Chipotle Chicken sandwich was delicious. Love the smoothies at this place but kind of annoyed right now. The door was locked 40 minutes before the posted closing time with no signage on the door that they would be closed early for New Year's Day, no notice on the website, the lights were all on, and the open sign above the door still lit up. I have no issue with a place wanting to close early on a holiday, but some actual indication that a place is closed would be nice. read more

I really love smoothies and I love the options they have here. However, I do not like that they do not take the time to explain anything. I picked a smoothie and then noticed they had a million other options and I wanted to change not but a second after ordering, and the young lady at the register said i would have to try it next time. I was disappointed with that response. But she was a very young girl, probably in high school, and didn't know better. The smoothies are very large, I had the kiwi strawberry something or other, and it was nice. Mid range priced, and definitely more than I could consume! All-in-all it was decent. I didn't sit down to eat but the place is cute and friendly looking. I'd probably go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

This is my new favorite hangout... They have 24oz smoothies (some can be made with Splenda!) awesome flatbreads, wraps & sandwiches, a full kids menu, yummy cookies & baked chips. They have a few vegetarian options, my favorite would be the mediterranean flatbread. I don't think I've ever seen an adult working here. It's not a bad thing though, the teens running this place seem to have everything in order and are always very nice. There are a few bar top seats (strangely facing where the line would form) and a few couches but mostly regular tables. The smoothies are better than Robek's, the Hummus Veggie wrap is spicy and delicious, and you can substitute mock chicken in the other wraps! Also, for some inexplicable reason the wraps taste way better here than the more recently opened Hicksville location. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place during my brief stint working at Best Buy. It made my breaks that much better. read more

The food is good and was hot despite the fact that the link for directions on their website sent me 10min away from the store. I tried to suggest a correction (like apple maps) but the option was not available. I had to wait on line even though i ordered and paid online. Then i tried to use the contact us link (to suggest they leave prepaid pickups out like every other takeout restaurant). And they made me jump through hoops of multiple choice and true or false when I could've left a comment or chat in seconds.So had had to resort to a poor yelp review. I'm giving this location only 3 stars because of the fact that the Hicksville & Merrick locations are so much better. This location is always out of ingredients. Every time I go in, there's always "sold out" stickers on the menu items. One time I ordered two different types of tacos & he gave me the same taco because they were out of the sauce & didn't cucumbers. I went yesterday for a Thai chicken wrap, and the lettuce was wilting, & was drowning in sauce. The manager at the Hicksville location said so many of his customers live closer to the Levittown store, but go to his store because of Levittown never having the ingredients. He said the owner of the Levittown location has been trying to sell the store & can't get a buyer, so he has given up. It's pretty sad, because the smoothies and food are really good. read more

Slow service, doesn't have cucumbers for juices. I was advised by staff that I could ask for my smoothie thin that would make it like a juice, and when I agreed, I received a thick ice smoothie of kale and carrots. No lemon only lime. Clean place. I like that you can get a smoothie without any added sugar. I don't ask for splenda or anything like that instead. The fruit is sweet enough on its own. :) The food is decent considering it's a much healthier option rather than fast food or the five guys in the same center. Pre-ordering on the app does not save you any time!! Every time I order on the app I enter the store approximately 10-15 minutes later, my order is not on the pickup, I end up waiting on line, and no workers know where the order is. The work in the back seems entirely disorganized and customers are constantly waiting, with unhappy looks on their faces. Smoothies should not take 20 minutes plus to be made. It seems there is a lack of leadership and work ethic at this location, it is disappointing. The smoothie orders are often "lost" "forgotten" or made out of order of customer, which is why I began pre-ordering.. makes no difference!! Store is in need of organization and management. Stopped in today as a detour during my travels. Ordered a "Blimey limey". Was pretty damn good. Strawberries, pineapple, orange and lime. Reminded me of the old school orange julius I used to get back when the Westfield mall was the "Sunrise mall" Service was a bit slow, but smoothie was good. 5$ for a big smoothie is a deal.
