I've been to many Sobol locations and I always think it's one of the better acai spots to go to. The quality is pretty much the same across the locations. I usually prefer when the acai is super cold but this time, it came out a little more watery than I preferred, but maybe it was just melted a bit when they were making my acai bowl. Danielle LITERALLY kills it every single time! 6/16 the morning shift-- THAT Danielle! She has never ONCE messed up my order. LIKE EVER. Came in on a sunday afternoon to finally give the Acai bowls a try. Parking was relatively easy in this little strip mall. Inside the place was clean but empty. I was quickly attended to and ordered my regular sized acai bowl, it came out to just under 10 dollars. Within a matter of 2 minutes was bowl was ready to go! Overall, the bowl was displayed nicely, everything tasted fresh, and it seemed like quite a good serving. The strawberry slices looked great and somewhat uniform but still somewhat not (because...nature!) and the granola was probably my favorite part. As soon as you walk in it smells so good. The staff is always friendly and super welcoming which is so nice it definitely makes you want to come back. Never had an açaí bowl before! My sister forced me to go here, after raving about the one in New Hyde park, so we went. She got an açaí bowl, I got the pitaya bowl, and let me just say, I'm a believer!! The granola was so fresh (and they sell it separately for anyone who wants to take some home), the pitaya and açaí purées were so fresh, and the fruits were cut when they were just ripe. I went here today for the first time. I had no idea what açaí is. Well it's a berry of some sort. I ordered the açaí bowl. The medium size. The açaí is kinda like ice cream except icier and much colder. It's sits on top of crunchy, homemade granola. Then it's got more granola on top of it. On top of that is fresh fruit. I had bananas, strawberries and blueberries. On top of that wes shredded coconut with a drizzle of honey. It is all extremely cold and refreshing. I imagine this is great on a hot summer day. It's different and I'm glad I stopped by and ordered it. read more

This is an excellent Sobol location. I've tried a couple and the staff here in East Meadow is always consistently polite, clean and quick. Ordered from here today. Was extremely disappointed with the flavor, texture and overall presentation of the bowl. They didn't have the medium bowls so they used the large containers instead and filled it up halfway...and charged large container prices- very classy. I ordered 3 of the same thing, the sunshine bowls. I expected a tropical taste; however, it tasted dry and it irritated my throat (maybe because there was kiwi in it) and my husband said the same as well. I also added almond butter to the mix and this had a very stale, expired taste. Overall, I'm very disappointed and will not be returning. read more

The only reason I give this place a star is because of the employees that work here they work hard and they were very polite and so kind. I live here in Westbury which is ab 4-7 mins drive to this location but I rather drive the extra 20 mins to the one in oyster bay because to get straight to the point the owner treats his employees like shit. I have been to this Sobol 4 times now and 3/4 times I came in the boss was there. I saw that the boss had made what seems to be a bowl without gloves and I saw that he grabbed things the customers eat like fruits and granola and chocolate chips without gloves and I know that the department of health wouldn't be to fond of it and I know this isn't Covid friendly at all which is just plain out inappropriate for an establishment that is quite popular amongst my neighborhood my freaking kids eat here and if they get sick it's because of the unsanitary conditions at Sobol east meadow. The employees were the only thing keeping me from saying something because I know personally what he would say "You girls/boys clean this up now" and put the blame on them meanwhile it is his fault to be quite honest they don't deserve to be treated like animals we are all human and deserve equality in the work place. I of course left a big tip due to I can relate to their struggles I have been in a toxic environment such as this one and I hope the someone from this establishment shows this to the boss because us customers aren't blind of what goes down at this place we aren't stupid. Please if you live near this Sobol please consider to go to another one it breaks my heart seeing the employees being treated this way in today's world I am all for equality and this owner isn't he expects his employees to not make mistakes but in reality everyone makes mistakes that's how we build on becoming better people. This Sobol should be removed entirely off google maps so no one would have to bare the same thing many other customers have experienced with the owner. I've always had a great experience here. I tend to order a bowl thats specialized (not on the menu) just adding different things and getting a scoop of both acai & pitaya. Even though at first they were a bit confused on what to do that was quickly fixed and they catered to my order happily. The manager is a great guy who truly makes you feel welcome and after a few times of going they knew me by name and my special order without having to say much. The store is extremely clean, fruit is fresh and you can watch them cutting it up right in front of you as well as when they make your order. And personally i find the granola they sell hands down the best & my favorite. Reminds me of homemade granola and i go out of my way just to buy bags of that which i use on yogurt, desserts, anything to add a sweet healthy crunch. I prefer the east meadow store because they really go above and beyond. The wantagh store wasn't as friendly when i requested my order that wasn't on the menu and are extremely strict when it came to the punch hole cards if it came from any other store. The simply refused to abide by it but that was a while ago and they now have an app you can use which seemed to solve that problem. Otherwise I couldn't be happier that we have Sobol stores close-by because nobody can match their acai/pitaya/green bowls. Clean, Fresh, Friendly, & Delicious. Everyone was friendly, and I had lots of questions because I didn't know of this location which is actually closer to my house than the sobol I've been going to. After sitting there for a while with a friend, the manager, Joe, came out, introduced himself, and asked if we were the ones who had never been at this location before. Every other sobol location on Long Island id happily give 5 stars. However, I've been to the one on east meadow twice after taking jiu jitsu down the block at 7:30pm which I understand as a costumer is a half hour till closing but the young girls working there are the most unwelcoming people I've ever encountered. Walking up to the place before even opening the door you see them look at one another with a face like UGH really? We're closing. When you walk in your not even greeted with a hello, how are you. I then went up to the counter and the girl that took my order gave me a dirty look and said hi. Nothing else. Then another costumer came in after me and one of the girls looks at the other one and goes I can't. I used to work in a self serve yogurt shop and I'll tell you one thing this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. The food is absolutely delicious but the employees need a attitude adjustment or do us all a favor and stop working with the public. read more
