The vibe is busy strip center - high overhead - owner skimps hard on AC and or landlord does.. and the software for the register freezes and had me standing watching for what seemed much longer than likely was. One employee and I never ever go there.. but one was annoying.. I kept trying to catch her when she came to the front and saw the young man unable to ring me up and give me change.. she kept grinning hysterically at a delivery pick up guy and walking back to the back and to him over some item once made there.. All while ignoring the desperate cashier who could not figure how to get change.. and ignoring me. Ten minutes it felt like.. So I had to say something like... Something is really wrong here... you are all not helping this man... and NO ONE is making the bowls or green drinks in the station behind the front.. Staff were standing further back and going past the station - making nothing- to the front and back again discussing various things. Finally the girl and one guy began to make my order which was called in 15 minutes before.. and the girl kept looking toward me then giggling toward the other worker. I said excuse me.. but laughing while preparing someone's food is going to get the order cancelled.. I tried to explain that was not ok... but they simply seemed too simple to get it.. and I wanted the Acai bowls and green drink.. so ignored my own demands. It was that kind of warp I was in. It was like a ten minute time warp of Wacky and distressed food service. Would be four stars for the items because the flavors were great and the two guys were very nice! Just a downer for them in there.. Not enough AC and software that was freezing for both guys. This place is doable for some .. but the kind of place my mother could never go to.. I've been coming here forever. It's clean and the employees are super nice. My faves are the detox island green (when I am hungover lol), the avocolada when I want something a bit more indulgent, watermelon mojito during the summer and the peanut butter banana protein shake when I want to be satiated. I've tried a good amount of the food too. How good it is really depends on your preference. Sometimes the sauces in the wraps can get a bit too salty and some of the employees will put a lot of it. There was maybe one person waiting for something. We went to order smoothies, I ordered Island Greens and my partner ordered Mango Monsoon and a supergreen Caesar wrap to share. The smoothies came rather quickly within 5-10 minutes but they tasted like nothing. I appreciated the size of the smoothie but they tasted like sugary iced water. Island green is supposed to have kale so I expected a thinker consistency from the pulp. Nothing. I was beyond disappointed. They both tasted the same. The service wasn't great either. Staff were chatting amongst themselves and didn't make our food. Wasn't until maybe another 5 minutes after we got our smoothies before one of the staff asked the others if they'd made the wrap and they hadn't. No other customers in the whole store so it wasn't as if they were busy just not paying attention. When the wrap did arrive it was mediocre. Very clean and friendly staff at this location! I ordered ahead on the app and my smoothie was placed in the fridge before I arrived for pickup. I've tried their Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread, Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap, and Thai Chicken Wrap. The flatbread had a good amount of chicken and cheese but if you prefer more veggies, I suggest going with a wrap. The Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap was a bit spicy so ask for the sauce on the side if you're more of a mild person. The Thai Chicken Wrap was my favorite! It's light, refreshing, and has a little bit of a crunch. I'm a big fan of their non-fat yogurt fruit smoothies and appreciate how you can substitute ingredients free of charge! He felt I didn't get to enjoy what his business offered because I only tried a smoothie from a employee who made it incorrectly. Patrick was very professional, he didn't get angry and retaliate, he just explained his side and challenged me to return to see what he could offer. I said yes and met with him. He was a very friendly guy and explained to me what went wrong with the employee that made my smoothie. After we talked Patrick offered me a smoothie, Acai Berry Smoothie, with bananas and strawberries, that he made. The comparison was day and night. When made correctly it was sensational. It was the right consistency and flavor, I couldn't believe what one bad employee could do if they don't do there job well. Patrick also offered me a chicken flatbread sandwich.
