Photos attached Today it was crazy busy in the parking lot when I pulled in at 3:00pm for My FREE 12 oz. Strawberry Smoothie. According to the email I received advertising their promotion, Customers need to "Wear Your Favorite Flip Flops" and receive a FREE smoothie. Their speedy teamwork inside were Awesome making so many smoothies quickly. I was greeted with a Welcome by Ashley who was serving them 6 at a time, after walking in off to the side at the pick up area. You pay for extra scoops of protein, but they either refuse to give it to you or only give you half the amount. The employees are extremely rude. Why am I paying extra just to get half a serving of protein? I literally watched them dump the rest out -- and there was enough for another drink. Completely unacceptable. read more

It was a really muggy day, and it was humid. I wanted some sort of juice or smoothie to quench my thirst. But everything around Partridge Creek was closed because it was Sunday past 6 pm. I saw Tropical Smoothie Cafe was still open; without hesitation, I went there. The service was great. The cashier was really nice and patient. She was not trying to rush me when ordering, and she promptly made the smoothie. I ordered the "fan fave" on the menu, Sunrise Sunset. The smoothies had strawberries, mango, pineapple, and orange juice. The mango was the one fruit that dominated all the other fruit flavors, and I was totally fine with that. Ordered today for lunch & after taking a sip of the smoothie I felt something funny in my mouth. Turns out it was a piece of glass! (Picture included, piece of glass that was in my smoothie is on top of the cup). I can't even believe this happened due to the many safety issues and I am now concerned I have swallowed more glass. I feel bad for the workers. It's very obvious they are running a skeleton crew. They never give their workers breaks even if they work 8 hour shifts. They are consistently understaffed so they wouldn't even be able to take a break without leaving their coworker stranded. it is very concerning. I finally got my boyfriend on the Tropical Smoothie Cafe train! We've been to this location several times in the past few weeks. You know the place must be good when my boyfriend asks to go back again! We love how many options for smoothies there are. Bunch of flavors and supplements. I usually get the Island Green Smoothie but my boyfriend has tried a new one on each visit and he's loved them all. All the smoothies are 24oz and huge! Service has been superb! I'll definitely give this place another try. It reminds me of my favorite smoothie place in the world Robeks which I frequent when I'm in Ohio. I will say Robeks is waaaaaaaay better which is why I'm giving this place a 3. If I didn't have Robeks to compare it to they'd probably be a 4. I love the orange ginger glow and detox island green smoothies. There's so many I still have to try. My last visit, I ordered a hummus veggie wrap and the detox island green smoothie. In the wrap, it includes hummus, smashed avocado, pepper jack cheese, romaine, kale and spinach, rice, black beans, pickled red onions, tomato, and light ranch. I removed the cheese, tomato, and ranch. I was disappointed because I usually eat foods like that and they taste really good, this was a whatever sandwich. Went with a friend after working. Great place with variety of smoothies . Different than stand alone ts. They mentioned their menu had retired options. I ordered blueberry pineapple . 4.90. Huge cup! However the menu did not mention the sugar that is added. I chocked on my first sip. I asked the one out of many young girls working. She looked at me dumbfounded. Then what appeared to be either manager but for sure only adult expressed it was are cane sugar. I would have liked to have known prior to ordering. After mixing it the drink was satisfying. Not a place to hang out as many friend of the workers joined in without purchasing anything but just crowding the bar and being loud and obnoxious. My friend and I left to sit outside. I always enjoy the recipes and products of Tropical Smoothie but the owner(s) and management of this particular location need to train their staff way better. I came in and observed 10 other customers. I saw 6 staff members working but only one was actually making drinks with another at the cash register. Another staff member was apparently in love with the food prep counter because she wiped it down three separate times I was there. The other three were in the back just seemingly lounging. Why is only one employee making the drinks while you have four other employees not doing anything to assist a plethora of waiting customers? Everybody could have received much better service. But that's not a problem with the young employees. Where is the management? Or owners? You can't hire a bunch of young, summer job employees and leave them unsupervised. read more

I've only been here once but I can say I love this place. The chicken salad I had was surprisingly good (I didn't expect food from a smoothie place to be good) and the Sunrise Sunset smoothie was AMAZING! The staff was very inviting and eager to serve. I love the smoothies here. I love that I have so many different options to make my smoothie. I also have always had great experiences with the staff at this location. The only reason I didn't give a five-star rating is because I am not a huge fan of the food. I have definitely had some okay sandwiches, but not anything truly noteworthy. But that's okay for me, because I usually go here just to get a smoothie anyway! The soy protein is a good protein supplement to use if you want extra protein, because it doesn't give a weird taste like whey protein can.
