I was really craving a smoothie, and I decided to stop into Tropical Smoothie. I have not been in one in a few years. I forgot how great their smoothies tasted. The smoothies aren't overly sweet compared to other smoothies places I tried. The drink itself is massive though, and only comes in one size. I do wish they had a smaller size because I would hate to waste it. I really enjoyed the banana, strawberry, and pineapple smoothie. I also tried my husband's acai one, and that was delicious. The price seems a bit high but that could be because it is such a large size. The smoothies are very filling. They do have food options as well. I have not tried any of their food yet, but I would definitely love to some time in the future. I came in 2 times and the line was very long both times. The drinks were made pretty quickly though! I will definitely be back in some time soon, and I would love to try different flavors. read more

I can't believe I'm saying this about what's essentially a smoothie-based version of a Jimmy John's, but Tropical Smoothie Café has a lot going on that sometimes goes underappreciated. Let me just start by noting that every time I've been to one of these places, it always has this... welcoming and helpful demeanor just seemingly... RADIATING from the employees, regardless of time of day or particular location. Remember that movie "Annie" with Carol Burnett and Tim Curry? Yeah, y'know that song when Annie sees all the dancing maids and butlers as she walks through the doors to that mansion? It's like that. Okay, so let's talk food, yeah? The smoothies here taste just fine, for the most part. The flavors can be fairly inconsistent, as if nobody's measuring what goes where or reading the same recipe, but if you don't mind a little mystery, it's not a deal breaker. Heck, I go into this chain KNOWING I might not get the smoothie I asked for. Besides, despite the name, TSC's heavy hitters are their wraps, in this humble opinion. The Supergreen Caesar Chicken Wrap is basically what a salad hopes to be when it grows up. Those little cheese crisps are just the mini cherry on top of the regular cherry on top of the sundae of awesome that IS this wrap. The Caribbean Jerk Wrap has a nice little zing to it, and the Thai Chicken Wrap has a peanut sauce glaze that's just the cat's pajamas, friend. What's more? The Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla was such an unexpected power player. The flavor profile of this quesadilla makes the quality of Taco Bell quesadillas seem like how porn looks AFTER you've finished firing one off. read more

I was a Starbucks customer and to be frank, their spotlight features has lost their appeal so I decided to search for an alternative. Love this place, love that egg have a drive thru and an app to order ahead. Service is always with a welcoming smile and the store is immaculate. I always come here. I ordered one jetty and one peanut butter cup with pea protein. And once again for the second time they put whey or soy in my smoothie soy and whey I have bad reactions too. I call and tell them the first time and they are willing to fix it but it was to late bc I was on my lunch. The second time I had my boyfriend pick it up bc I ordered it again online. Today, I went in and I saw a mother and daughter seated at the counter placing an order. My daughter and I decided to sit next to them and wait for our turn. No other customers were inside at this time. Because of my wait (or so I thought) another person was called from the back to assist...except she helped the person who walked in a few minutes behind me. So, I fired she didn't know that I was next and so I waited until the first cashier was free again and asked if she could now take my order. By this time, four more people were in line. She said that she couldn't help me because I wasn't standing in the line. I said, "I sat next to the people you were helping when I walked in." So instead of taking my order she went to the next person. So I took my daughter's hand and we left. I didn't want to make a scene because #1 I had my daughter and #2 I don't want some preparing my food/drink who has zero customer service skills and a sucky attitude in general.
