I ordered an açaí bowl for around $13, which is already a bit pricey--but I didn't mind because I normally enjoy them. However, when I got my bowl, it was half full, sloppily thrown together, and already melted--and mind you, I work just five minutes away. That's unacceptable. I went back to the store to ask for a remake. One young lady was kind, apologetic, and agreed to remake it with no issue. She even admitted, "We have a lot of new people and they don't know what they're doing." Unfortunately, that's when things took a turn. Another girl (clearly inexperienced) decided she needed to get the manager. Fine. The manager comes out and instead of resolving the issue, starts interrogating me about where I work, trying to justify why the bowl was melted. Then she tells me 1) nothing was wrong with it and 2) they're out of hazelnut--only for the other employee to immediately correct her, saying they actually do have hazelnut. At this point, I simply asked for a refund. I didn't want a refund initially--I just wanted the bowl remade. But after getting the runaround and being told "we normally don't remake bowls", I had enough. The manager tried to backpedal saying, "I didn't say I didn't want to do it, I said we normally don't." Like--what are we doing here? We've wasted so much time going in circles that the bowl could've already been remade. She then tried to stall again saying "Well, you ordered on the app." I don't care. That's irrelevant. I paid real money and got a melted, poorly made bowl. I ended up demanding a refund and leaving, disappointed and late for work. Bottom line: Poor product, poor training, and poor management. Save your money and your time.

They said the fire department was already there to check it because a customer called them. They need the gas company to check it. They know more about what's going on. I was only in there for about 45 minutes, came home with a headache. If Applebees care about their employees, they will close it soon! We won't be going back!

My only complaint is that the lettuce pieces were somewhat large and contained a lot of stem, which made them difficult to eat with just a plastic fork and no knife. The menu most heavily features Japanese style soufflé pancakes, which are a good bit thicker and pleasantly jiggly compared to American pancakes. They also offer croffles, or croissant waffles, usually in the form of a sandwich for a more savory option, a couple of croffle eggs benedicts, and other desserts such as burnt-top cheesecakes and I thiiiiiink maybe macarons and rolled cakes with cream fillings (think Swiss cake rolls). They have coffee and a few speciality lattes to drink as well. The inside was very clean and modern. It was pleasantly busy but despite seating being pretty limited I found a spot easily enough. You order at the counter but an employee will bring your food to you when it's ready. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. The person who took my order was pretty surly and disinterested, but the man who brought my food out to me and was bussing tables went out of his way to say a friendly few words to me and check in. The pancakes themselves were, well, fluffy. They are quite different from American style pancakes but certainly have their own merits; subtly sweet, bouncy, and fun to eat. These came with a sort of chocolate syrup/drizzle in a pot for personal portion control, a sprinkling of pretty and ripe blackberries and raspberries, and a sweet and creamy sort of tiramisu topping. It all melded together into a decadent but not cloying meal. The order comes with two pancakes and I thought that was plenty to eat given how rich it was, though I did find it a little pricy. Overall, I'd recommend this place as a good option to try soufflé pancakes -- I don't think they can be found elsewhere in Huntsville, so if you're curious, give them a go. I don't know if these are the best representatives ever given my own inexperience, but it certainly beats never having tried them at all.
