Extremely Disappointing Experience - Poor Quality and Customer Service I went to Smoothie King and unfortunately had a really frustrating experience. I ordered an açaí bowl for around $13, which is already a bit pricey--but I didn't mind because I normally enjoy them. However, when I got my bowl, it was half full, sloppily thrown together, and already melted--and mind you, I work just five minutes away. That's unacceptable. I went back to the store to ask for a remake. One young lady was kind, apologetic, and agreed to remake it with no issue. She even admitted, "We have a lot of new people and they don't know what they're doing." Unfortunately, that's when things took a turn. Another girl (clearly inexperienced) decided she needed to get the manager. Fine. The manager comes out and instead of resolving the issue, starts interrogating me about where I work, trying to justify why the bowl was melted. Then she tells me 1) nothing was wrong with it and 2) they're out of hazelnut--only for the other employee to immediately correct her, saying they actually do have hazelnut. At this point, I simply asked for a refund. I didn't want a refund initially--I just wanted the bowl remade. But after getting the runaround and being told "we normally don't remake bowls", I had enough. The manager tried to backpedal saying, "I didn't say I didn't want to do it, I said we normally don't." Like--what are we doing here? We've wasted so much time going in circles that the bowl could've already been remade. She then tried to stall again saying "Well, you ordered on the app." I don't care. That's irrelevant. I paid real money and got a melted, poorly made bowl. I ended up demanding a refund and leaving, disappointed and late for work. Bottom line: Poor product, poor training, and poor management. Save your money and your time. read more

First time visiting this spot, but it won't be the last! Mine was the Angel Food™ - Ingredients: Strawberries*, Bananas, Nonfat Milk, Turbinado I really don't get a strong taste of angel food, but that's ok, really refreshing and especially good on a hot day. I'd give this one 5 out of 5 My wife had the Island Impact® - Ingredients: Pineapples, Mangoes, Papaya Juice Blend, Apple Pineapple Juice Blend, Protein Blend My wife really liked hers, and as luck would have it, she liked hers better than mine (I liked mine better than hers). Again, hers was refreshing and hit the exact flavor palate that she thought it would be. She gave it a 5 out of 5. Staff was really friendly and got to us quickly and got our order out to us equally fast. Clean store and they took all the normal COVID protocols associated with handling food. read more

Please do not go to Smoothie King on University Dr. They messed my order up and didn't want to correct it and refused to give me my money back. The manager was sooo rude, it was absolutely ridiculous. People please spend your money somewhere else, they are not worth the time and effort. read more

The service wasn't the best, they didn't greet us until we went to order and the whole time while we waited to order and waited on our drink they just talked really loudly about they're personal lives (paychecks, family relatives, customers). It was just unpleasant and inefficient. Also we were the only customers in here so i don't know why it took 15 mins to make a 20oz smoothie. But the smoothie was good, and the place looked clean. read more

Avoid this location, workers sneezing and coughing into the blenders used to make your smoothie. If you're sick, don't come to work and infect every customer. I should have asked for a refund but was so disgusted I just threw the whole thing in the garbage. read more

Smoothie king is simple! You can't get what is not on the title. It's more than clear that these smoothies are suger filled. That is why they offer the skinny option. I add diet down to give me wings through out the day! I recommend the pineapple surf skinny! read more

1st time trying Smoothie King & it was better than i expected,after having tongue cancer surgery its difficult finding food/drinks to eat,especially dining out,and the flavor and texture were perfect.The gentleman who served me was more than Super nice & so helpful !!! I visited this place frequently when I was in Huntsville for the past 3 months. I eventually looked up the calories of the smoothies I was drinking, and oh my! They were full of sugar, so when I went in again, the staff explained the different options to replace the sugar in my smoothie. My favorite now, is the Green Tea Tango w/strawberry, minus the sugar add truvia, minus the protein add diet down! YUM! read more

The selection is good and the shakes are healthy and taste really good. The store has a healthy feel to it.

I really enjoy this location! I have been on a few occasions and I was surprised to find that the employees were actually really friendly! My main problem is that once you grab your smoothie, there is no where to hang out! I really wish there was a pub table inside (like a coffee shop) or somewhere to walk and enjoy the smoothie - oh well. Make sure to order your smoothie 'skinny' so they don't add extra sugars. read more

I normally like my smoothies pretty sweet - but I also like them to have some actual fruit content. I'm sure there's fruit in these smoothies . . . somewhere . . . but they add a ton of extra sugar (although they call it by a brand name so you don't notice "extra sugar" in the ingredients) and the smoothies taste less like fruit than like squishy popsicles. read more
