This was my first time at a Tropical Smoothie. I got the bahama mama smoothie and turkey bacon ranch sandwich, which were made perfectly and tasted so fresh! The inside of the store and bathroom were very clean as well. But the best part of my experience was definitely the staff! They were so friendly and attentive. Food is amazing and drinks are good but they is always some type of shortage of food. There is also no toilet paper in their bathrooms nor paper towels/dryers and no napkins available, you have to ask. Service is terrible. Depends on the people but most of the time they are rude and it takes a very long time for them to even come to the counter. No one is welcoming. In all, the food you are able to order is the only good part. Update: Just took me 30 minutes to get my sandwich and had to go up and ask and they just had it sitting in the back. Tropical smoothie use to be one of my favorite go to's when I lived in Louisiana and the establishment that I frequent was always super busy. Which isn't a bad thing it just confirms how good and fresh the ingredients are. The one in Magnolia have missed several times, they're always out of items from chips to some of the ingredients featured in their smoothies of the month I believe I have given them more than enough chances. I live closer to the one in the woodlands I guess I need to head there and see if my experience will be better as of now I think I'm done with this location. read more

Service is a joke. I love tropical smoothie but the service has been terrible on both occasions. One employee in particular did not acknowledge us when we walked in. We ate inside, ordered 2 flat breads and 2 smoothies. There were 4 employees working. The employee that ignored us spent the entire 30 mins that we were in the store talking to her 2 friends. The man before us had a large order, 4 smoothies and 4 sandwiches. The employee did not once stop talking to help. We waited 20 mins to get our smoothies while she stood by the blenders continuing to talk to her visiting friends. We received our food before our smoothies. Horrible costumer service. I waited in drive through for 40 mins before deciding to drive around and go inside to see what was taking so long. No one greeted me as I walked in or said they would be available to help shortly. The girl clearly saw me walk in and she straight up ignored me. I waiting patiently and asked the girl at the window how much longer it would be as I'd be waiting for quite some time and she told me about another 15 mins. AN HOUR FOR 1 smoothie is a little outrageous. They need more employees and to replace the current ones with people who actually have some manners and respect. I used to love this place and never minded the wait. It was the way that the girls had no costumer service skills that helped me make the decision that I'll never be returning to this location. DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could I would give this location a negative 5, I would. We used to love Tropical Smoothie, when we lived in Vegas so you can only imagine our delight when we saw this one opening up! We have gone several times and the wait is RIDICULOUS! And, I know each item is made fresh BUT this is beyond waiting for fresh. This is poor service and management. We decided to give it one more try and even ordered online in advance. When making our account we specified vegetarian!! And ordered a Caesar salad wrap NO chicken. Drove all the way home to find the wrap was a peanut butter and banana flatbread, and there was no receipt to even check the order. I confirmed online that we had ordered correctly and called the store. Manager said "Oh, yeah. That was my fault. Come back and we will refund you and make a new one". So we had to drive ALL way back. And guess what?? Got home-it had Chicken on it! Now, this may not seem like a big deal to many but to a vegetarian who hasn't touch a piece of meat in 10 years. This is not a "mistake" this is beyond acceptable!!! So, back again-and ALL the manager offered was a coupon for 1 free item!! Like this was no big deal! This is very poor management. Third time, guess what...AGAIN??! No dressing on a CEASAR SALAD wrap!!! I mean this is just incompetence. They did not compensate us for the many mistakes or our time or our gas to and from!!
