Main location, so I thought that would be a perfect meal on this hot day. I placed my order through the app and my food was ready when I arrived. I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but this location is not great at all! The service is very slow, even if you place an online order or not, and when you do get your smoothie, there's clogs in it! The location on West Main is the best, the speak to you, the acknowledge you, the service is great and the smoothies and food are definitely on point! I love that location. This location is completely ridiculous! What's crazy is that I've mentioned to them before that the smoothies was a bit clogged. First time here I went because my 8 year old wanted a smoothie. Went in and ordered, sat for a little bit then left. Nothing impressive or memorable about our experience. Second visit: My sister-in-law wanted a sandwich and smoothie, so I ordered her meal through their app; simple enough to place the order. There was a little note after ordering that if you don't know what to do when you pick up your order, just ask the staff. My brother went in to pick up the order, I told him it should be under my name or phone number. While he was inside, I decided to go inside also to place a smoothie order for my son. My brother had his order of the sandwich but he was missing his smoothie. I was trying to help him out asking the staff (because the order was placed through my phone). After some confusion a staff member is holding the missing smoothie. Apparently if you place an order via app there's a small refrigerator you're supposed to just open and look for your order... well how in the h3ll is anyone supposed to know that when it's not something typically done when an order is placed and you go pick it up! Also it doesn't help when an employee knows you're picking up and order and just points to a direction you're supposed to go; should you go there to wait? Anywho... aside from that, after my brother got the last item of his ordered I wanted to place a smoothie order. Simple right, it just so happened to be the same flavor as my brothers smoothie. Girl asked if it's a new order, I confirmed yes. I wait for my smoothie. When she was done making it she walk towards me to place the smoothie on the counter and a straw then quickly turns away; no words said, no smile, NOTHING. Are you kidding me! UPDATE: Grabbed a smoothie recently that was perfect. Perhaps I had been getting staff members that weren't following procedures. Very happy with my most recent smoothie. ORIGINAL: I love Tropical Smoothie...this location though can't seem to get it right. I don't normally submit negative reviews, but after multiple disappointing smoothies, I wanted to review. The smoothies here are just ok. They tend to taste a little lack luster...like maybe they are over iced, or not made with the same amounts of ingredients as other TSCs. You also have to sort of chew the smoothie because of ice chunks. I know the owners must be trying to fix this issue, because they have a sign by their blenders that is trying to help employees with what a wellblended smoothie should look like...I don't think it is working though. TSC on West Main produces well flavored consistent smoothies, if you have the choice, I would go there. read more

Their smoothies are really tasty and their menu is a decent break from the fast food nightmare that surrounds us. Calorie-wise we're still on the higher end of low, but comparatively they are really quite low. Ordering a meal and a smoothie with set you back over 900 calories so it's probably best to choose one or the other. I ordered the chicken quesadilla. I liked the salsa, could have stood just the tiniest dash of salt, but really pretty good. I got the fat burner smoothie and at 490 calories I really do hope it promoted some metabolism boosting! I actually love Tropical Smoothie. I go there every chance I get, however 2x I have had plastic in my smoothie. I thought it was part of the smoothie but after getting home there were so many pieces of it, I couldn't even cut it with a knife. I saw another review on here that the same thing has happened. Not sure what it is about this particular Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but they always seem to be curt and grumpy, particularly towards older "boomer?" customers. That's my experience anyway. Today I ordered two smoothies. I stood at the table where they drop them off and watched them put the berries and bananas into my Jetty Punch smoothie. If you take a look at what is behind the counter you might never want to order from this place again. It's extremely dirty and messy. The bananas were brown and mushy clumps of goo. Nothing looked fresh. The entire area where they store the fruit looks nothing like the fruit on the posters. Take a look next time you're in - I guarantee it will make your stomach churn. I often get a breakfast wrap (eggs, cheese, etc in it) and sometimes it's warm and gooey and delicious but other items it's cold. But the service is always great as are the smoothies! My kids and I love getting smoothies and when they're made right they're great! This location is beyond frustrating! I have used online ordering twice now and both times my drink was made wrong and I ended up having to leave without a smoothie. I use this option when I'm short on time. This should be a quick grab and go option but always ends up turning in to a much longer process. Today my smoothie was overfilled and the employee made a huge mess of my cup and couldn't even close the lid. Once I finally cleaned it all up and got the lid on I went to leave to only realize it wasn't made correctly. They always offer to make another one but I didn't have time to wait. It already took longer than it should have because I had to clean up the mess. I was also offered a coupon but it took so long for the employee to go get it I had to leave so my daughter wouldn't be late to her class. I'm now out $14 because they can't slow down and ensure that customers are getting the correct beverage. There was also another customer in this location when I was there that had to have her beverage remade multiple times because it was wrong. It wasn't even the right color!! Obvious clue something isn't right. I refuse to spend any more money at this location until someone can make this right. Every time I try and contact the location to speak with someone who can correct the mistakes or to even just express my concerns I am told no one is available. I don't usually write reviews but this location is just so frustrating! Great Customer service is definitely not a priority at this location. read more
