Traveling back to Colorado I realized I didn't have Pita Way while visiting this time (quick visit in Michigan) Googled& found this was the last location before I left Michigan. Great location Food was done fast, excellent and the guys working this afternoon were unbelievably nice! They chatted with me as I told them how excited I was to be having Pita Way before leaving Michigan and stocking up on my favorite sauces for when I get home to Colorado to have this week. Great spot for a quick bite. Stopped in after a flight to grab a chicken shawarma bowl and was not disappointed. Similar to a Mediterranean chipotle, you can make a bowl, gyro, salad, etc and pick your toppings. I had all the options as my base (tabouleh, hummus, rice, etc) with chicken and had them load me up on the white sauce and tabouleh. Got 2 sides of their baklava and they were absolutely delicious! You can sit inside or grab it to go. The staff was so sweet and had no issue in giving me a ton of tabouleh- they even made it fresh for me. Everything about the food here is super fresh! Prices and portions are great. Worth a stop for lunch! read more

The flavors of the Mediterranean food are fantastic and one of my favorite places for lunch. However, the service is extremely frustrating! On multiple occasions, I have been the only customer standing in the restaurant and not one person acknowledges my presence. There will be (4) workers and not one of them takes my order. Today, I ordered in advance and on arrival, was ignored until I asked for help. My order was ready and waiting to be placed in a bag. Anyone of the (4) employees could have put it in the bag and handed it to me. After finishing whatever meaningless task they were doing, i was finally handed my order. Again, I was the only customer present. Food was good, but the service is a 1 star at best. read more

I know I don't usually do reviews on chain restaurants, but every once in a while there's an exception. I've eaten at HUNDREDS of middle eastern restaurants, and experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly. When my daughter mentioned this chain, and insisted I try it, I was very skeptical. I have to say, this was one of the better chain restaurants I've ever encountered. Every aspect of this place is worth mentioning. I've been to several of these since, but this place was my first. Every Pita Way I've been to has been the same. Super friendly staff that explains everything. Food that's very flavorful. Some of the best seasoned shawarma and fire fries, hands down. The place is always clean. Prices are comparable to other fast food places but with healthier options. I didn't 5 star this place because it is a chain restaurant. I save 5 stars for the little places you'd drive half a day for. These places are popping up all around. Hope to see you at one. read more

although food tasts good , but it is Very ver very very expensive!! They changed thier prices and they don't show it on thier website. Also, They have a misleading menu. Entrees means sandwich. It doses not includ anything else Sides has separate prices. You will think you are paying for 2 sandwiches with combo sides and you ends up paying $40! I would rather spending $40 dollars on one plate with sides on fancy restaurant than staying hungry and paying for a little sandwichs. Go to bab-alsalam , shawarma king or middle easterner who have the same chicken sandwiches for $6-$8, instead of paying $11 for one chicken sandwiche here. read more

Place : I like how stylish the restaurant is, and the location is really good and easy to find. Staff : They were professional and friendly. Food quality : It's ok actually, I've tried so much better Shawarma sandwiches in other places. It had so many pieces of very dry meat. Prices : This is the obvious downside for this place ! I mean to have just a Shawarma sandwich for about $11 that's too much. And it doesn't come with a side at least. The menu prices also was kind of misleading for me, you would think a side comes included with the entree, but sadly no. You have to pay almost $4 more for any side. I know many other Shawarma places that sells a more delicious Shawarma for a much cheaper price in Kalamazoo. Overall : If this place keeps these prices like this, I don't think it will last. Stopped in to try the place out. Clean and bright inside. Music was a little loud. Staff was friendly and helpful with the ordering process. The food was really flavorful and the portions were good. I had a Pita Way Bowl which I had hummus as the base with gyro a bunch of veggies and Fattoush dressing. For my side I had chips and garlic whip. Both my main meal and the dip were great. I give the place 5 stars for the food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars in the main review was the price. I felt that it was priced a bit high. But the food was fresh and flavorful. read more

I was very impressed with the flow of ordering. I love being able to pick exactly what you want. Everything ran very smoothly thru the prep process and the staff where very helpful and accommodating. We sat down to eat and about a quarter way thru my sandwich I noticed it was good and tasted ok but was not as good as it looked. Odd I know but it was just average. I've had such better sandwiches that even though I might go back it's not someplace I have to eat at again. read more

Love the food. Toppings are amazing. Only had vegetarian protein options, but received great feedback from my family on the chicken tenders/white chicken. Best fries I've had in Portage/Kzoo. So good. My family and I have been back multiple times so feel qualified to present a bit of perspective on service time. Recommend an additional 10-15 minutes waiting for online orders. Great for a quick fix of Mediterranean food! Really pleased with the service we received. Ordering from the menu isn't entirely straightforward, though I think they've updated/simplified it a bit since opening. Basically, it's like a Mediterranean Chipotle where you can build a sandwich or salad and you can go down the line adding ingredients. There are pre-selected "favorites" but I can't help but go through and get ALL THE VEGGIES. They have a couple fermented veggie options as well, which is really nice. The spicy fries are not too spicy but do liven up the dish. Haven't yet been able to get a lunch there without grabbing an order of those. More important: get the dark meat chicken. We'll-seasoned, well cooked. If you're a dark meat hater, it might just turn your head back on straight. Not much room for dining in, but a few tables. Bring your jacket if you end up sitting in the front half of the restaurant and you're near the door! read more

This is my perspective as a person trying Pita Way for the very first time. First thing's first is the parking lot. Spaces are super tight and just as I was having that thought I heard an unmistakable crunch. Sure enough, the car next to me got hit while another person was trying to park. I later discovered that there's parking in back and it's less busy so I would suggest parking back there. I ordered online because that's how I prefer to order at all restaurants that offer it. Ordering online was easy, paid online so I was expecting a quick in and out. Most places have a designated area to pickup online orders. I looked around and didn't see that. I stood by the cashier for a few minutes but she was very busy cashing out the patrons in line so I got in line. The worker making the food was energetic and did a good job of asking people if this was their first time. He would make recommendations and give details on some of the ingredients. When he finally got to me I mentioned that I ordered online and he said I didn't have to wait in line (which was my thought exactly!). I wasn't in a hurry so didn't mind this time. My food was scheduled to be picked up at 12:32. I went in at 12:30 and left at 12:44. I saw them make my order and it sat on the counter for at least 10 mins so my food was cold by the time I got it. Something I also noted was that my Detroit Shawarma was smaller than the ones they were making for people who were watching them make. It's fine, trying to watch my calorie intake anyway. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and flavorful. Something I've never had before is pickled cabbage. Honestly, I would come back for the cabbage, it's something that makes this place unique. I asked for no tomatoes but they snuck their way in. Glad I looked because accidentally biting into one of them would have ruined my day. I'm not allergic to them, I just really don't like them. I got a side of rice with almonds and raisins and the portion was plenty - 4 big scoops - enough to have some for dinner too! The fries were so good, still crunchy, and the chipotle fire sauce was tasty. I felt like $14 was kind of expensive for lunch for 1 that didn't include a drink, but food is expensive everywhere these days. My wife and I stopped in the Pita Way today around 1:00pm. The place was busy but not crowded. We were greeted by a delightful young lady to was very positive and willing to explain the menu to us. We decided on the Sadnweech with Beef Shwarma and the Gyro for the meat, and our favorite vegetables and sauce of our choice. We also ordered and soft drink and Baklava. The Sandweechs were placed on a heating plate. We chose a table and waited on our Sandweechs. It too longer than expected to get our meals. The heating plate made the pita much more toasty and crisp. While I liked this treatment, my wife did not. The meat was flavorful and very tasteful! We both enjoyed the taste of our lunch. The Baklava was delicious and dreamy! The people behind the counter were helpful and polite. But the price for the amount of food seemed high. Which is why I didn't rate it 5 star. read more

The experience: Chipotle/Qdoba style serving but Middleastern food. I tried their bowl and sandwiches, spicy fries, and baklava cheesecake. The bowl is a make-ur-own but my favorite thing about it was the gyro meat. The sanweech is also a make ur own, and i went with the gyro again. I would really like to give this place more stars. I had the grilled white meat chicken sandweech. With feta, garlic and white sauce (similar to tzatziki). It was really really good. Fresh made. BUT, I ordered the lemon chicken rice soup. It really wasn't soup. Kind of soggy yellow rice. That wasn't very lemony). I won't order that soup again. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my lunch! read more

Amazing food and amazing service. The quality of the ingredients is unmatched for the "quickness" of the food. The prices are a bit high compared to other spots but it makes sense based on portion size, freshness of ingredients and taste. Following that, the staff is always nice and helpful/suggestive in a non-intrusive way. Example: "do you like spice?" They ask, I said sure and they gave me a rundown on how I can make my sandweech get spicier from jalapeños all the way to the Carolina reaper spices. First visit today. I am not local, and I was in a time crunch and looking for a healthy lunch. From the moment I walked in, the people on the food line were super friendly! I am sure I looked confused, I told them it was my first visit, and one of them told me to start with the sign on the wall that explained the process. It's like a Qdoba/Chipotle, but Mediterranean. Perfect!! I chose everything, the guys were helpful with suggestions. The cashier was bubbly and kind. I was out of there in 5 minutes, max, and the place was busy!! I will definitely return as I am in the area often and I just learned there are 2 Pita Way's near me in the Lansing area!! I tipped, but I didn't get the chance to express my sincere gratitude for the kindness and attentiveness. I hope those folks enjoy their jobs and are treated well, they completely deserve it! Exceptional!! I've been to numerous Greek/Mediterranean restaurants before and Pita Way exceeded my expectations across the board. First, the sheer volume of options available for you is impressive, but I ended up getting a chicken bowl. The rice was so flavorful, the amount of chicken I received was plentiful, and the garlic sauce... YUM! To top this wonderful experience off, the staff was so friendly! Everyone had smiles on their faces, even while being extremely busy. I was pleasantly surprised as the manager, Clint, recommended toppings and even came to check in on the meal as we ate there. We placed a large lunch order recently at my office and we ALL really really liked the variety, selections, taste, flavor, and presentation of our food! For all of us, it was the very first time trying Pita Way, and we will definitely go back! The two things I'd like to recommend to the business are to: 1) pretty please label the individual orders somehow. As I mentioned, we placed an online order of about 10 different things and I had put a name of a person for each order and it was disappointing to get everything and nothing was labeled. Opening pita bowls or sandweeches to see the ingredients to see whose food was going to which person was a bit tedious. 2) Also, we did enter a time for pick up (an hour and a half after our order was placed) and when we arrived, our order was not even started. It would have been amazing to receive a text or call letting us know that you were running behind. read more
