Recently we had one of our horses jump over the 2 feet which Is above ground and land in 4.5 feet of water. Pasco Fire Department came to help get him out. My vet Cindy Daniels (who I've known for 27 years) was first on scene. We were fortunate to have only a hole in the liner. We contacted Affordable Pools and Spas to let them know we needed a new liner. Two days later the liner was installed and we were able to swim the next day! I cannot say enough about the customer service we experience each time we go in or call with a question. They are fantastic people! I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to purchase a pool or spa! Five star service for sure!

I checked the price online and it was about $400 cheaper delivered. When I asked Ron about it, his answer was simply "well when it breaks, who will you call for service"? Ok, I understand that and I do see some validity in that claim. I also try to support small local business, so I had them do it. Fast forward, heater breaks, need service. No less than 20 phone calls to Pinch a Penny and even 2 store visits. "Oh Ron will call you", and "yes he knows and will be in touch". Yeah. Horseshit. Never a word. Ever. I hate to say an entire organization sucks because thats unfair. But Pinch a Penny and the owner Ron on Dundee rd sure do!

We got an email, and payment was deducted but service had not been done. After speaking with someone at the store, they returned our money and promised they would go out and clean the pool. They never did the work. I had to call to see what was happening. I was told that Ron would return my call to talk with me about the situation. He never did. Thankfully, Elite Pool Designs put all of our fears to rest thanks to their amazing customer service, fair prices and excellent, high quality work. We previously had a koi pond in our backyard but, as the fish died out, realized we wanted something else back there instead. We reached out to Elite Pool and Cyndi and she came over the next day to assess our yard. As we had no idea where to start, she helped guide us through the whole process, connecting us with surveyors, tree removal experts and all of the other hidden things you don't think about when you decide "I want a pool". After the work to get the yard ready was done, we went to the Elite Pool offices to pick out the tile, lining and design of the pool. Cyndi walked us through the shape and features we wanted, and provided a very reasonable quote for everything, including, automation, a heater for the pool (hey it DOES sometime get cold here!) and a screen enclosure. Construction for the pool started in October 2024 and finished in late January 2025, and our hat goes off to Robert (owner of Elite Pool) for his help with managing the entire project. Crews arrived as needed and on time, and though there were some periods between steps where not a lot of work was being done, it was never unreasonable and given the holidays, totally fair. Inspection and electrical were simple and easy and now we are ready to enjoy our pool! For anyone in our same position, looking to install a pool from scratch but not sure where to turn, Elite Pool Design should be your first call, can't recommend them highly enough!

He replaced the heater and reinstalled the pump (which the previous owner had put in backwards, lol). Plus he explained how the chemicals work and how to use them.
