A+++ Soo honest. Orlando won't overcharge you. He's professional and very knowledgeable. To our incredible surprise he changed the capacitor and in a few min we had cold air. We had warm air coming out of the vents. Called A/C company we used for years. Tech said we had a bad capacitor, disconnected the compressor and told us we needed a new one and our whole unit was old. Quoted us $11,500 after Veterans discount and left compressor disconnected. Called a second company. Tech said he could get us some A/C for a couple of weeks for almost $900 than would replace the whole unit for $13,000. Orlando was great. Came out and power washed the line as it was clogged with gunk. Thankfully, our pan stopper prevented a ceiling leak but the house was hot! He came out quick, did a routine maintenance and said to call him next year to clear the line again before it builds up that bad. All around good guy and trustworthy. I contacted Affordable Air Conditioning for an air conditioning unit that's relatively new and was not cooling. The service technician came to my home and inspected my unit. He determined that the unit was just very dirty and needed to be cleaned. He performed a thorough cleaning and the unit was as good as new again. He only charged me the fee to clean the unit, which I thought was very modest since I would have paid much more than that to have the system working again. Called Affordable to look at ac. Tech. said the condenser coil was leaking, and couldn't be repaired. To replace the coil would be between $2500.00 and $4000.00. I chose to pay the $70.00 inspection fee, and get another opinion. The other company sent a tech. which checked out unit. Found no leaks in coil, only from the air dryer. He repaired the air dryer, and recharged unit at a total cost of $175.00. Affordable was deceptive in their inspection and cost to repair. read more

My a/c unit bought the farm after 15 years so I needed a complete replacement. I got two quotes of $6,400 and $6,200 but my neighbors got a brand new Rheem from this company for $4,000. I looked at their units and saw nothing wrong. A 3 ton unit, new air handler, new thermostat and all the goodies. So I gave them a call and in less than 24 hours they had a new system, just like I described above, for $4,000 (it would have been $3,900 but he charges for using credit cards which I wanted in case of problems). Wouldn't you know, day 2 it stops blowing cold and I call at 4 a.m. to leave a message expecting the hear back in a day or two (or three). Instead they show up at 8:30 a.m. (they really don't open until 8) and had it fixed within a couple hours. Oh, and 10 year warranty with 1 year labor and saved over $2,000 to boot. Aff ac repaired my home ac unit. Its old. They also put in a new system for me about a month after that at another house I own. I have been impressed throughout with no complaints. 'Affordable a/c' is clearly run well and their expertise is excellent. Price was reasonable. Honesty level is good as well. The larger sale, had no pressure going on. They are very confident when they hand out their quote. Its like they know their price will be good, and there is no pressure to buy or buy quickly. They're decent reliable people that really know their field. That may be the biggest thing for me. Sensing that they diagnose well and correctly. I had a lot of questions about my old unit repair, during the repair. I could tell it was annoying to Orlando. But he strived to be patient and really answer each question well, haha. Call Affordable only for your Heating/AC repairs and service. I repeat call Affordable and forget calling anyone else. Don't keep paying for service estimates which average $59 - $79 per business. Times that by 3 which is minimum number of estimates you should get. Yes, some will apply fee toward work performed but at an over priced ridiculous total cost. My AC/heating unit is only 3 years old. Heater was blowing cold air. Contacted company in Plant City and paid $59 for them to diagnose problem. Said I needed: Expansion valve $489.00 Refrigerant charge @ $75 per pound (my unit takes 10 lbs) $750.00 Filter Dryer $198.00 Green dye to search for coil leak of refrigerant and Major coil replacement $1,272.00 Total cost for repair $2,709.00 or they offered me whole new system for $6,000 which included 3 1/2 ton compressor, air handler, thermostat, permit and 10 year warranty on parts and labor. I could not afford either of these options. Called Affordable on Black Friday and had appointment the following Monday. Showed up on time and began diagnosis. They came back next day and started repair. Final determination was low on coolant and coil leak in air handler without running dye thru the system. Nothing wrong with expansion valve and new coil covered under 5 year parts warranty from manufacture. Also needed to replace outside circuit breaker and took 3 lbs of refrigerant @ $25.00 per pound (not $75.00 per lb as the other company charges). Total Cost for repair including service call on Monday $495.00 WOW is all I can say. Orlando, the owner of Affordable and his Brother are very honest and professional which lacks in most businesses today. They didn't try to sell me a whole new system, they fixed the just the parts I need without lying to make more money. So happy I got a 2nd opinion! Our AC unit stopped cooling on Saturday. We called the company that installed it and they were completely booked for Saturday and don't work Sunday, and they charge overtime on weekends. I started searching for other companies. The reviews for this company influenced me to call, and even though the mailbox was full the owner, Orlando, checked the call record and not only returned the call but also had his brother resolve the problem within hours without extra weekend fees. From now on, they are our HVAC company of choice. We have 2 central Goodman units, and when they need to be replaced, this great company will be doing the work and installing Rheem units. read more

All of our air units stopped working at once at Girls Inc. of Lakeland and we were without air for almost two days. The company who has serviced our account for years sent out a tech who told us that all of our air units were old, that the motors were bad and that we needed to replace all of them. We are a non-profit United Way agency and have limited resources and cannot afford to purchase three new units.
