On 1/17/26, I returned at 8:00 PM and waited over an hour. When I asked for a simple ETA because I had to be in Queens, the employee dismissed me entirely and started serving the person behind me. Worst of all, other customers began co-signing this behavior, telling me they had been waiting too and making excuses for the delay. I had to address a man behind me to remind him that where I spend my money is 100% within my control. When they finally tried to hand me the food after I demanded a refund, the employee was smiling as if she hadn't just dehumanized me. I refused the food and took my money. I was told I would need to place a separate order and meet the minimum spend, meaning I'd have to pay another delivery fee and tip just so the restaurant could recover an additional $13 due to a pricing error that had nothing to do with me. She claimed Uber Eats made the error and repeatedly insisted that I needed to contact Uber to resolve it. As a consumer, I explained that the incorrect pricing on Uber Eats was not my error and that the restaurant needed to resolve the issue directly with Uber rather than placing the responsibility and additional costs on the customer. Instead of offering any reasonable solution, the woman I was speaking with told me to cancel the order, put the phone down and stopped responding to me altogether. I used to really enjoy this restaurant and would visit whenever I was in the city, which makes the experience even more disappointing. The situation could have been resolved with a little customer service and consideration, especially over a $13 discrepancy caused by an error on their end.
