I brought my side by side to troublemaker auto to have the shift cable replaced. he replaced it, and replace my good clutch with a clutch that did not work. when I picked it up I asked him why do i have to rev the engine to 2500 rpms to get it to go in gear. he told me that was normal. he was adamant that you have to rev it up to high rpms to get it to go into gear I tried getting him to repair this 3 times and each time it got worse. I took it to a different mechanic and I was told he sold me and installed a clutch that was not designed for this machine and was not working to begin with. it cost me $2800 to replace and repair the damaged he caused to my machine. I asked if he would refund me the money for the defective clutch. he is unwilling to do so. he charged me $1181.60 and it cost me $2800 to fix the damage he caused. I have a can am defender that was running hot. I worked on it for two days and couldn't find the issue. I called Sam at TroubleMaker Motor Sport at 2:30 on a Friday. DO NOT take your ATV to this guy. Sam, the owner, is a sham. He has ripped off many customers, including me. Had my john Deere Trail Buck for 9 weeks. Could not fix or even adequately diagnose the problem. Gave it back in pieces, with my battery missing. Billed me for work he did not perform and parts he did not purchase. When confronted about it, shook my hand and promised a refund on those items the next day. It never happened. Ended up taking him to small claims court and won a judgment, which he also did not pay. I needed a motorcycle repair done so I called and he charged me $50 to come get my bike because I am 4 miles away from his shop, which I agreed to. After two days I got an estimate which was way too high so I decided not to hire him. He then told me I would have to pay him $150 MORE to get my bike back for his estimate. What a creep. I had no knowledge of this "diagnostic charge quote. It is not mentioned on his website it does not mention any of her phone calls it was only mention after I just said I was gonna come get my bike and not hire him. I took my grandson's motorcycle to Troublemaker Motosports May 7, 2024 for motor issues. Sam checked it out and sent me an itemized list of parts needed. He requested money upfront due to being burnt by customers ordering parts and not picking them up. I gave him $850.00 with a balance of 300.00 due when complete. He told me it would be complete in 2 weeks. I sent him a text May 23,no response, again June 17 and he stated let me check and make sure we have everything and I'll see what I can do to get it done a little quicker. Sent text June 24 no response, again June 27 telling him I do not understand what the problem is and his response was ...Hey brother we are just working you in for repairs, we had a few bikes ahead of yours. Sent text July 15, no response, again July 18 with response of it should be done in another week or so. Sent another text Aug. 1 and his reply was it will be ready next Friday. It was not. This went on several more times until I told him to box it up and I will come get it with my money back. He responded with May I ask why you aren't waiting for a compete job and I told him he has had it since May7 and you said it would be 2 weeks and it is now Sept. 7. This delay went on until Oct. 21 with him stating bike is ready for pickup so I made an appointment to pick up Nov, 4th. When I arrived the motorcycle was not ready, so I told him that was enough I want the bike and my $850.00 back now, which was in parts with no new parts there. He did not order the parts! He told me it would take 7 to 10 business days to get my money refunded to my credit card. 12 days later no money. Around the 1st of April 2023 I contacted this guy about installing aftermarket parts on a Can Am Spyder,(front and rear floorboards, LED headlights, fog lights, hardcase saddlebags, engine lights and front arm lights). He told me that he could install the items. I gave him a list of the items to install, and he stated that he would get back with me in a day or so. I had already researched the parts and price. After about a week and a half I had not heard from him. I should have suspected something at this point. I contacted him, he stated that he had been really really busy and that is his reason for not getting back with me. Throughout this entire ordeal his reason is always I have been really really busy. Anyway a couple of days after this conversation he contacted me and sent pictures of the parts from the list and gave me a price for the parts and installation. As stated earlier I had researched the parts and the price. I paid for the parts at this point. Doing the research of the parts I observed that the front floorboards were on back order. They were expected to be in stock the next month which was May. At the end of May I checked the website and the floorboards were in stock. I contacted this guy about the installation he stated that the floorboards were still on back order. I advised him that according to the website they were in stock. (With this company if an item is on back order you pay for the item in advance and as soon as the item is in stock it is shipped to you next day service). He stated that he would check on it and get back with me. Another couple of weeks passed and I had not heard from him. So, I contacted him, again he states that he's been really swamped, the reason he hadn't got back with me. He advised me to bring the bike in 0n 29 June at 10am. I arrive at his establishment on 29 June at 10am. Another red flag, this place is way back in the woods, a fabricated building sitting on his property. When I arrive he states that he didn't tell me to bring the bike on this date. He then tells me he meant 5 July. I bring the bike back on 5 July at this point he states that he was still waiting on the floorboards, but they should be in any day. I'm thinking he should be finished with the bike in a couple of days, at the most a week. After about (2) weeks I contacted him he stated again that he has been so swamped that he hadn't time to get to the bike plus he was still waiting on the floorboards, but he assured me that he would get to it the next day. I checked the website, and the floorboards were in stock. Another week passed and I got the same story, really, really swamped and the floorboards were not in yet. After he has had my bike for (5) weeks I contacted him, still the same story. But he said he was going to get with the company and see what was going on with the floorboards. Again, I checked the website, and the floorboards were in stock. Another week past. He stated that he would go ahead and install the items that he had and I could pick the bike up and when the floorboards arrived I could bring the bike back. He gave me a day to pick the bike up the next week. Upon picking up the bike he had not installed the fog lights the fog light covers. He stated that they didn't fit and he had to send them back. He stated that he had contacted the company and they stated that the floorboards had been shipped. He advised me that I could take the bike and when the other items arrived he would call me and I could bring the bike back and he could install the remainder of the items in a few hours, this the end of August. My First mind told me not to do it, but I paid him in full and took the bike. I contacted him in September, he stated that he had the rest the parts and he would get back with me with a date he could install them. I didn't hear from him, I contacted him in October, again he states he has been really busy and he has no help. He states he states he was working on a really big job and he would call me and schedule for me to bring the bike in. I didn't hear from him. I contacted him in November he told me to bring the bike in on 15 December. which I did. I contacted him around the middle of January he stated that he was having a problem with the fit of the fog lights and had to send them back and he was waiting on them to come back. Long story short. Every time I contacted him there was an excuse and he was always going to start on it the next day. In March I picked the bike up, it was sitting in the back corner of his shed extremely dusty and dirty and had not been touched. I contacted a reputable company about finishing the installation and told me to bring it in. I contacted this guy about picking up my parts, he stated that they were in storage and he would have to go get them. I told him that I also wanted a refund for the work that he did not complete and he agreed. For about (3) he kept telling me that he had not had time pick up the parts from storage. the worst scam. They kept my cabo lance for 13 months . promised a refund after they did absolutely nothing to fix it. months later we still have no refund. Now my bike is beyond repair. They had my mom lie to the loan company about why she needed the loan. Now the loan company can't get them to refund the money. They are not an accredited business. Did not want to give me my wheeler back, I'm a truck driver so my time is precious. Communicated with the owner regarding getting my wheeler back, in the end had to get the police involved. He told me I could come and get my wheeler when I made it back in town off the road, showed up around 7 pm to him telling me it was after business hours and I could come back the next morning. Had wheeler for over two weeks with no work done, paid 250 for a diagnostic fee which the diagnostic was no where near ACCURATE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED TOYS HERE. -owner before you get on here and lie I wasn't removed from your property, I left on my own free will. Sam is the man. Kind, courteous and he knows his stuff. I purchased a used ATV at a great price and took him another ATV that mechanics told us it would be better to buy vs repair. Within a week my daughter is riding it. The cost was extremely affordable and most importantly I believe that Sam serviced us fairly. Got a couple of motorcycles we're gonna take to him next.
