I made my first trip to BENTON OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT in June 2020 to get some warranty work done on a Troy-Bilt Push lawnmower with a Honda Engine. I spoke with the owner, Lance Damon and his wife Alli. Even though the mower was over two years old, it had a three-year warranty. I had bought the mower from Lowe's, but they no longer carry Troy-Bilt, and there was not a Troy-Bilt Warranty Service Center in Little Rock. Even though, I bought the mower elsewhere, Lance agreed to check it out, and repair it under warranty, if it was covered by warranty. It took a little longer for them to get to it, because their service department was really backed up. When they made me aware that my mower was ready, I was very pleased that my total bill was $.0 (zero) - there was absolutely no charge - all covered under warranty. This is a family run business, operated by many different family members. I quickly realized that they are not clannish, but each of them is united in providing HONEST, friendly, customer service. They handle many brands and types of push mowers, riding mowers and zero turn mowers. I was surprised at their inventory. They also handle other lawn care equipment like trimmers and chainsaws. I was also very impressed with the off the road rugged go-carts and ATVs that they carry. They are really nice folks. It is getting more difficult to find honest family run businesses like this anymore. After much research I purchased a Cub Cadet Ultima ZTS2 54" mower from Benton Outdoor Equipment (Lance). At the time no one seemed to have one in stock, however, Lance prevailed and found me one. I didn't own a trailer so he offered to deliver it. I used it once and the mower developed an issue (easily fixable) that was a result from the factory. Again, Lance came out and took care of it quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend the mower and Benton Outdoor Equipment has been excellent!! Not allowed to give a zero rating. So a rating of one is well more than deserved. I bought a rear engine Snapper last May. The battery died in about 4 months. I called to inquire about the warranty. Some chick said it had 30 day warranty . Strange that a $2500.00 mower would have a Pawn Shop warranty? Called Snapper service and was told it had a 1 year warranty. Customer Service told me to take the warranty paper with me and get the AGM battery replaced. I drove to Benton yesterday and what a surprise! The kid that runs this outfit was quick to let me know 30 day warranty. Now I know why customer service told me to be sure and carry my paperwork. Boy still wanting to not honor warranty says he must call his Representative. Who's also didn't know the warrant??? Finally the kid said to leave it he would have to run several test on it. And if it was bad I would have to make another 45 mile one way trip to get a replacement. Did not take a whole lot to see the writing on the wall. So I left with the battery. Nice to have a mower making payments that sets in the garage collecting dust. Who runs a business selling expensive items and don't have a damn clue about the warranty? And by the way try to pull start this mower with the use of one arm. If you want to piss off some good money. Do business with these folks!! Now to call and see when Snapper wants this piece of junk back? Absolutely disgusting business practices. read more

Warning- Several Negative Reviews on this company. I purchased a Cub cadet leaf Vac system. They are the local cub cadet dealer. They had me pay cash. I thought that was odd. It turns out it was odd. The leaf vac system did not perform worth a crap. The hose clogged with the 3 leaves in it. I brought the machine back to Benton Outdoor Equipment to be told all sales final. They said they would try to help me find a buyer so I left the machine with them. I was told they would speak with the owner to refund me or allow me to trade for another piece of equipment. I left the machine with them for 2 weeks and no communication. I just picked the machine up and they said they would help me load it. They pushed the machine outside and closed the door. I had to hand pick up the 100# machine to put in my truck by myself. 1) Don't buy from them as they don't backup the products they sell. 2)Never pay cash on these types of products. 3)There are other reviews out there like this one on Google. 4)I will now have to write Cub Cadet to see if they will backup their product. Very disappointed and $727.45 down the drain. read more
