I came into the store within the 14-day return window, as outlined in the policy, with the original receipt and item in hand. From the start, the interaction felt uncomfortable. The sales associate seemed visibly displeased that I was requesting an exchange and responded curtly when I asked a simple question about the value available for the exchange. The tone throughout the process felt dismissive rather than helpful. When my daughter selected a new piece, another associate completed the transaction, but the energy remained tense and unwelcoming. Attempts at light conversation were met with minimal response and little eye contact. The overall experience left both my daughter and her friend feeling uncomfortable, which is unfortunate given that this was meant to be a positive moment. As a long-time customer who has spent thousands of dollars at Isabel Harvey, I left feeling disappointed and discouraged. A return or exchange, especially within the stated policy, should still reflect the same level of customer care and professionalism as a sale. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. One of the employees has been there for a few years - I've been ignored by her before. I honestly don't know if I'll go back with such dismissive treatment.
