I live in NY but often visit a good friend who lives in Boston. Whenever I come, I ask to visit Trove. I love that place. Anyone who has written a negative review must be writing about some other shop. The store owner is always welcoming, whether I buy something or not. The items she sources are unusual (but not odd) and beautiful. She has exquisite taste, reflected in the store's decor and offerings. Just left the store and I agree with the most recent comment. The owner greeted me with a surgical mask and basically made me feel as though I couldn't afford anything in there very uncomfortable atmosphere it is like being in a glass house she watches every move you make very condescending. Little does she know I lived in one of the wealthiest counties in the country so she needs to get a grip I'm mean seriously it's Weston MA not Palm Beach Florida where the richest of the rich live!! read more

Cute! Cute! Cute! I've driven by this store a million times, but never made it in...until today. I'm in love with this cute little store. Its very small and there is an upstairs and downstairs....Upstairs has a wide variety of jewelry, home goods, clothing...downstairs has tableware. They also have these incredibly interesting framed bug art/picture that I'm in love with. This place kind of reminds me of Aquire....a little on the pricey side, but carries very unique items. I spoke with a woman who I think was the Owner, she was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the things I was interested in/purchased. My wife saw they were opened and wanted to go in. I'm not a fan of Trove as a number of years ago I was treated with poor customer service and said I would never go back. We did stop and was greeted by someone at the door and asked if we had an appointment..hence we left and will never return! read more

I was driving by and as other's have indicated, walked in without an appointment. While the door says appointment only the owner came to the door looked me up and down and said you need to make an appointment. No one was in there... I imagine if not dresses down I would have been let in. read more

Charming! What a catch this town has with this cute little boutique! Adored by the locals for the unique styles, collections and artists the owner chooses for her store. One of a kind clothing (very short offerings from designer artists) from the USA and international. Trips to New York for private showcases and exclusive parties to purchase from said artist are one of the many ways this owner stands out from the rest. The quality of the handmade goods is unreal. From scarfs, gloves, purses, wood decor and art (multiple areas to choose from), the owner has made this boutique a must stop when passing thru Weston! This is an upscale boutique. The owner was very knowledgeable about not only the products she was selling but also the artist who made each item. What a pleasure it was to talk with the owner who actually opened her doors on a closed Sunday! She was working the books at the desk when I went to open the door and realized it was locked. She advised she was closed but I could come in and look if I wanted to. I'm glad I did as I don't know if I could have met a nicer person. read more

I really enjoy the eclectic pieces in this shop, but I was disappointed in the owner's customer service. She was on her iPad upon our arrival and did not readily engage with me and my friend, who happened to be holding a small covered cup of coffee. We did not notice the sign on the door about no beverages, and when the owner realized she was holding coffee, she proceeded to speak in a condescending manner to my friend (who is a mature adult!) about reading the sign. She could have easily managed the situation with more courtesy and respect, so we abruptly left the shop immediately disinterested in looking any further. I won't go back there after this experience, which is too bad because she really has lovely things. read more

This little shop is a complete gem--and not coincidentally is filled with them, as well. Dale, the owner, is as rare a connoisseur as she is a spirit; her kindness and savoir-faire make every trip to this slightly-out-of-the-way boutique a welcoming and pleasurable one. Her collections range from John Derian paperweights and vintage silver cigarette cases to imported cashmere baby blankets and snakeskin minaudieres in jewel tones. This is a wonderful place for wedding and birthday gifts, and you will be able to find something truly unique in any price range--a rarity in high-end boutiques. But speaking of jewels: if you are serious about jewelry, you have to see what Trove has gathered every month or two; turnover is impressive, and that's because the owner is extremely savvy in her choices. Dale has an unerring eye for original artisan pieces and has excellent personal relationships with each artist she carries, almost all of whom are nationally recognized and carried by places like Barneys and Quadrum Gallery. Customized orders are hassle-free for any piece. A sampling of the wonder jewelers in Trove: Jamie Joseph, Ray Griffiths, Laurie Kaiser, Gabrielle Sanchez, Priya Himatsingka and Jeanine Payer. Definitely don't be shy about asking to see things in the cases (which are shaped like little glass castles and towers)--there is zero pressure to buy, and if you end up leaving with just a cake of exquisitely scented soap and not that pair of chandelier earrings that equal your mortgage payment for the month, no matter. You will be back! Best of all? Trove has at least two unbelievable, and popular, sales per year, wherein you just might be able to get those chandelier earrings, after all. This is my favorite boutique in the Boston area, and I never regret the hike out here from Somerville, ever. read more
