The volunteering of students and parents in the FaithKids rooms down to the welcome desk is like no other. There is always something going on here whether it be on the weekend or on a weekday. This church has a resource for every church related need. Not as many people know that this church also has a preschool program. My daughter has spent two years in their programs starting with children's learning program and then their preschool and she loved every second of it. We could not keep her away. She made a lot of friends and is always excited to see her classmates and teachers in church. The teachers always seem to remember all of their past students by name and are always happy to ask what has been happening in their lives beyond preschool.

It just so happened that the banquet hall we rented, which Claire handles, is located inside the church. My mom and I got bombarded with calls(and texts to my mom) today. She spoke with my mom and asked for my previous review to be deleted. I refuse to delete it, or pretend that what she did and how she treated us that night didn't happen. This is to inform her potential clients of the service she provides, and how unprofessional and rude she is to her customers. We never received an apology from her. Just to say it again, I have been to numerous banquet events both as a guest and as the host and not once have I ever encountered such rude manners. It would've been nice to have gotten a memo or an announcement from them to say that they will be closing the bar soon or that they will be removing the buffet food soon. We got neither. When I asked her about it and if it was possible to get a plate at least for my husband, she questioned me instead and said "I saw him eating earlier. Didn't he already eat?". My husband got a plate initially, yes. But dis he eat it? No. He was so busy running around chasing our son. By the time he got back to the table his plate was gone. Plus, it doesn't matter if he already ate. It's called a buffet for a reason! We took offense to that and that is also one of the reasons why we wrote the review and refuse to delete it.

I ended up moving away for the past two years and moved back a few months ago. I knew I wanted to come back here, because I love Wednesday groups and my son loves Awana. I started to get more involved at Woodside, I even joined the Woodside running team and ran the Detroit International Half-Marathon with a few team members!
