The new priest is wonderful and has great energy. His sermons make me think long after I've left to head into my week. The choir is beautiful if you attend the 10am service (8am is spoken Eucharist and lasts about 30min, choral Eucharist at 10 last about 40min-50min depending on the service). We are very blessed to have so many talented singers and a very talented organist. But we need more choir members! Coffee hour after the 10am service is a great time to chat (the 8am service go to breakfast together, they welcome all). Someone is always bound to welcome you to their table or into their conversation. The service is traditional by Episcopal standards. We take communion, we pass the peace, say prayers of the people. We gather afterward for cookies and coffee or stay in the sanctuary to enjoy organist, Jim Bain's performance of a Bach piece or other classic work. Hope to see you some Sunday soon!

This church is massive. It definitely deserves the name of a shrine…read more The altar is in the center of the church and the pews all jet out from every end of this central altar. You can definitely see the altar at any seat in the building, even upstairs on the balcony. The only difficulty is if you're not facing the main altar, as the priest often will face out one way. The church is the most beautiful during Christmas. It's always well decorated and filled with poinsettias and Garland, streamers and lights everywhere. The other downside of this church is that it's so massively huge, but it does not feel warm and welcoming. I will often go to this church for Easter and Christmas, because if it's close proximity to my house. For regular Sunday visits I will often go to other smaller churches, that feel more comfortable and cozy. Still every time I'm inside of this church in a few, I'm always struck and in all of the interior design and structure of this Shrine.

He also told parents, from the pulpit, that if they catch their boys playing with their sisters dolls, they should teach them to burn the dolls. This is not the first violent message from Pastor Tracy that I have heard. I once heard him rejoice when 300 Muslims were killed in a tragic accident in Mecca in 2013. I heard him brag that he would like to run over protesters with his car. When I was a member as a teen, I heard him joke about hitting his wife, and encourage his children to bash other children's heads in with bricks from the pulpit. I was sad and horrified to learn that he has not changed his violent messaging. If you are the kind of Christian who wants to see anyone you disagree with (including children) beaten and killed, I guess EMBC is the church for you. If you are the kind of Christian who wants to follow Jesus and love your neighbor as yourself, try elsewhere.

Not only was I baptized here when I was a baby but I have fond memories of coming here during Lent Christmas Easter and other holidays with my parents growing up. I also attended their catechism here which top mold me into the person I am today. It was held every Wednesday and still has helped to this day. If you're looking for a home Church this is one surely not to pass out. There is a younger priests here now and a lot of the original followers as well. This church does so much for the community I can't even begin to start to say the extent of the kindness they radiate. They help people who don't have enough money during Thanksgiving holidays and donate Thanksgiving dinner. If people cannot afford clothing St Vincent de Paul comes in and you are greeted by a very sweet lady who will come talk with you and make sure your children are properly closed for the winter season. And at Christmas time they go above and beyond to make sure every child has something small to open on Christmas. They remodeled this church about 15 years ago and the warship Sanctuary is beautiful. There's also a place where you can go and light a candle for a loved one or someone who's dearly Departed. Unlike these modern Christian churches this one is an original one of those Originals where it is so good there is no need to change anything. I will continue to come here and I will continue to bring my children here because I know if they're here they're getting the word of God properly.
