Last year they dropped the ball, they could have had my business for my Lubbock home as well. I kept asking the for a quote, begging really. Day of closing I had to find another company to insure the home. The office manager, Lilly, is so disrespectful and rude. I was looking for another insurance company to switch my policies over. Nope, can not, the , insurance has gotten so out of hand on what they will cover and not. So by default I have to stay with Cypress Insurance. And the same office manager is still working for the company. I told her this year through email that I was looking for another insurance company, because of the experience I had with her last year. Her response "I'm sorry you feel that way, I will take you off of our list to reach out to with new quotes." Oh my gosh! Terrible business practice! I'm stuck for the time being now, don't make the same mistake I made, don't get auto and home insurance through Cypress Insurance!!

Pricing was better for auto and home than most others at the time of applying. The downside here is auto policies can only be secured for up to 6 months, no significant price savings for not driving (due to COVID), and specifically this agency does not respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Actually received a cancellation notice on my new home policy two weeks after signing up with Geico because Geico/this agency hadn't completed the transfer process in a timely manner. Additionally I had to cancel my previous auto policy myself after multiple assurances that it would be taken care of for me only to find out it hadn't. So for a little over a month I was out double the insurance premiums and still missing a partial homeowners policy refund. Savings were worth it for now, but can't wait to find an agency that has good customer service.

I decided to do some more searching on my own and found statefarm to be cheaper and have more coverage. We changed coverage to statefarm. The statefarm agent asked them to cancel our service. Linda Sexton told him that we planned to make many claims and advise him against insuring us and they did not cancel our travelers insurance. We ended up on the phone for hours trying to cancel this service because they did not cancel it. Beware they are deceitful and liars and I have the bills and emails and everything to prove it.

I later sold one of our other…read morevehicles and although, I paid for a full 6-month policy, they refused to refund my money and said that they would apply a credit to my next bill instead. I asked her office to have Kristi call me as she was my actual agent. It took her 3 days to return my call knowing that she had an unhappy customer. I asked other insurance agents if this was an industry standard and they said no. When I told her that I didn't think it was right for State Farm to keep my money when I was requesting a refund (having never been late with a paym't and ALWAYS paying for the entire 6-month policy) and I told her I was going to take my business somewhere else, she LAUGHED at me. I quickly took both my home and auto elsewhere...and the icing on the cake is that I was able to save a combined $1k on my policies (with better coverage)!

I was a customer for years, but they were never able to even come close to the auto rate offered by Progressive, but then when an Allstate bundle beat what I was paying for auto at Progressive and homeowners through Suzanne Brown / Texan, that made me decide to leave both of them. My exit was handled very badly, my cancellation document, which I signed and have a copy of, was never sent to the insurer, so weeks later I had to call the insurer directly and get that taken care of myself. But this wasn't the only time, many times in the past I could never get my agent to call me back. I guess she was off chasing big commercial real estate deals, and we private homeowners are too small to care about? Well, the relationship is over now, and I'm glad to have EVERYTHING at one place, where I can look at it one one phone app.
