Her test scores show that she is 2-3 years above grade level in all subject areas. Test scores are just numbers, but what I really care about is that her confidence both academically and socially has increased. The Tutoring Center gave her that extra boost in early elementary school, so she was never overwhelmed or frustrated by the work at school and therefore could focus on developing a love for learning and a love for all aspects of school. In regards to the tutoring, it is well organized and the initial assessment personalizes the instruction for the needs of your child. The staff are kind and well-trained. Andrew, who oversees the tutoring program, is thorough, organized and helps you understand the whole program that your child is a part of. Flash-forward to present day and my youngest daughter (who is about to enter Kindergarten) just began her first tutoring session. She left the session and said "I wish Ms. Emily could be my teacher forever!" Yes, the program is expensive, but my husband and I have seen what a great investment it was in our oldest daughter's academic future and knew we had to provide the same opportunity and stepping stones to our youngest. As a school counselor, I have seen first-hand that early confidence in academics fosters positive feelings about school and learning, whereas, a lack of confidence and academic frustrations lead to negative feelings. I want both my daughters to love school and The Tutoring Center tremendously helps provide them with the tools they need to be successful at school.
