If you need a fast, easy and reasonably priced lunch in the area, I suggest it! And outdoor of course, which is nice for these Covid times. I got 2 all-beef, chili cheese dogs for about $6 total. The gentleman working the cart was a very nice guy. The shoulder on West Nursery where the cart parks is plenty wide so you could pull over and grab and go if you're in a hurry, but there are also tables with umbrellas at the office building in front of where he parks to enjoy your lunch in nice weather. read more

One Lucky Dog is a roadside gem. Skip the drive through and hit One Lucky Dog instead. I ordered a full meatball sub and a large hot dog. The meatball sub was "ok", but the large hot dog was great. It was one of the few instances when the food truck hot-dog comes out better than making it yourself on the grill! There's a bunch of free toppings to throw on (I chose ketchup, mustard, and sauerkraut). Price--I only paid about $8 for everything. There's a 25c charge for using a credit card, but everything is so reasonably priced that it isn't even an afterthought. The owner genuinely seems to be glad to see new and returning customers. He is truly a man with a gift for making conversation and putting people at ease. He put my food in a bag with a fork/knife, or plenty of napkins, and two mints. I regularly stay at the Sheraton down the road and have walked by this truck several times on my way to eat somewhere. There are always cars pulling over on the side of the road here to visit this food stand. Finally I decided to give it a shot. The prices are an excellent deal these days, with $5 bucks getting you more than enough to make you full. The owner/operator/chef/cashier all-in-one was a very friendly guy and explained all the options available. Surprisingly there are more than just hot dogs here. I had a chili cheese dog and another hot dog with mustard and ketchup. On my next visit I think I'll try the meatball or the sausage. The quality of the ingredients was really good and the dogs are plump and juicy. If this stand was in Manhattan it would dominate the area. Despite what your initial impressions may be about a sight not so common in the US (a truck on the side of the road peddling hot dogs and Dr.Pepper), this is worth the stop! He even takes credit cards (modest .25 cent upcharge to cover the fees). Also, there is a lot of grass there if you want to relax and eat under some trees or borrow the benches at the office building on the corner. Established on this roadside since 1987, year round (unless the weather is just TOO ridiculous) I will definitely make my way out here any time I am in Baltimore for another one (or two or three) of these parties in my mouth.
