We stayed July 3rd and 4th weekend. Room and hotel was nice but I'm sure there were bedbugs in our room (210). We had a few bites the first night and I thought maybe it was mosquito bites but the second night we didn't sleep. Woke up at 5 am and left. I had 25 bites on me and my husband had a few but he had slept in a sleeping bag so he was saved. these bites are huge and I have been missable! read more

Nice hotel that looks to be fairly new. I didn't have a need to interact with staff as I used all digital check-in and keys. As usual at Tru properties the free breakfast was fine with multiple choices. The only negative with the stay, which is starting to become too common with Hilton properties, is that the Peloton was having technology issues. This may not seem like a problem to most but for frequent travelers who rely on hotel gyms to stay active, it is. Also the gym had no sanitary wipes to clean equipment. read more

I usually hate Tru hotels. But we had a cat and this place seemed to have the best rates. Staybridge charged $50 per night up to $150 max, Embassy Suites was $75 for first 4 nights and this place was $50 for first 4 nights. The app is kind of confusing because it says there's a $50 non refundable deposit and then it says there's also a pet fee on a separate line item below that. But they confirmed it's just $50 total for 1-4 nights and $75 for longer. $15 per night is reserved for incidentals but refundable. The room was actually clean. And you can choose your room in advance on the app because there aren't particular rooms reserved for pets only like some hotels. One towel had some hair on it but it didn't phase us as I know how that can happen. It was a washed towel. Breakfast had pancakes, bacon and cheese omelets in addition to oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, bagels, muffins etc. next day they had sausage and scrambled eggs in lieu of the omelettes and bacon. Gold members get popcorn as the welcome snack. Strong WiFi. Water bottle refill fountain downstairs. Along with a microwave and paper plates. Housekeeping you have to request. I saw them mopping the floor of a room as we passed by so I think they must actually be using the pet fee to do a better job cleaning. Outside I did notice they never emptied the trash by the elevator for several days and it was overflowing. Late checkout for higher tier HH members is 1 pm rather than 12 noon. We extended our reservation by a day and I asked them if I could also get late checkout for the new departure date as well and they said yes. But they forgot to add it to my reservation I guess because we got a call at 12:30 pm telling us checkout was at noon. I actually had confirmed it again the day before we were leaving that we had late checkout so I don't know how it fell through the crack. They were a bit stand offish at first saying I didn't make the request, but ultimately capitulated and gave it to me. We started packing our bags regardless so we could exit asap. What I thought was the best part is that they called back 5 min later and acknowledged the request had been made and they saw the notation and comp'd me $10 for the inconvenience. That was nice of them because I was fuming. Kudos. 3 EV charging stations. The same person owns the Fairfield across the street so you can use their facilities as well we were told by the front desk. Gas at the Fivestar across the street is good price for the area. Usually matches the Kroger price down the street. read more

Very reasonable pricing for a one night stay. We were promptly greeted by a very friendly and cordial gentleman. He gave us all the current details. King size beds. Nice sized rooms. Modern touches everywhere. I am not used to all of the hard surfaces but that is just me and something I have to get used to. The chair in the room was wild. My husband, son and I stopped here to rest on our way back to Michigan. I was amazed at how clean the facility was and how friendly the staff were. I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the Hilton property. Front desk staff was not the most helpful person I have engaged with at a Hilton property, they are usually must more friendly. Carpet on the 4th floor is in need of a serious deep clean, or total replacement. Bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean. As with all the Tru brand property, the room is bare bones. Stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel states that rooms are serviced every other day. Not once was my room serviced by housekeeping. After the first night I asked the front desk attendant if they could possibly fill the conditioner bottle in the shower of my room. 2 days later I asked again and inquired as to why no housekeeping had been done in 3 days, didn't get an answer. That day they filled the conditioner and left a couple extra towels on the counter. They did not empty the trash, make the bed or do any other housekeeping things. If I could give 0 stars I would. The front desk clerk was the absolute rudest and most unprofessional customer service/hospitality provider I have ever had to deal with. When we arrived he wasn't at the desk, and we waited for almost 10 minutes before he came back. When I was finally able to check in I was confused because I booked on hotels.com and already paid for the room through that app, but at this hotel I have to also have a temporary charge for the room cost (hopefully we'll see once I check out if I get double charged). I've never had this issue, I always book my hotels through hotels.com and prepay. The most I ever have to have held on a credit card is a temporary deposit for incidentals. So naturally I was confused and tried to explain to the clerk that I had already paid. He interrupted me several times when I was trying to explain what my issue was to basically correct me and tell me I was wrong. He was very rude and condescending, being very loud, and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. When I called him out on interrupting me, saying he could at least let me finish a sentence, he threatened to not rent me the room. He was speaking so loudly that the lady behind me was commenting and trying to also interject about what he was saying. I was so upset and appalled by the insanely rude way I was being treated that I didn't think to catch the clerks name. He was an old man with a grey beard, glasses, and claiming he was blind. Hilton should be ashamed of him. After getting to my room, and pulling the blankets back to settle in I found so many hairs. Hairs of different colors, types, and lengths. It was like the bed sheets hadn't been changed in who knows how long, only made after each guest. There were also stains on the masters cover and sheets, and makeup stains on the pillow cases. There was also a bandaid of some kind on the floor. I packed and went to check out and inform the clerk of the room condition, because at this point that was the last straw and I wasn't staying there anymore, but he was again no where to be found. After waiting too long I left and called Hilton. I've always had wonderful experiences with Hilton but this hotel was very, very disappointing. read more

This is my second stay at a Tru. I'm giving it a 4, because the hotel was clean, and everything was bright and fresh, and staff was friendly - but it's just not my style. I presume it's targeting the young traveler, because the lobby is spacious, colorful, a variety of sitting areas and USB access everywhere. This hotel lobby included two very nice foosball tables. The prior location I visited offered a pool table in the lobby. There is a standard hotel fitness center and pool, but the room is akin to a college dorm room. A fresh, new college dorm room - but a dorm room. A tiny desk on wheels, no closet - just a rod above a mini fridge - no dresser, and a large, flat screen TV. Soaps, shampoo and conditioner are in plastic dispensers. Nothing wrong, just not somewhere I'd be comfortable spending multiple days, so not a place I'd recommend if you like hanging out in your room. read more

This is happening too often at Hilton properties. Upon checking in I went to my room to be greeted by a toilet with feces in it. They claim to be taking extra precautions due to COVID but it would seem cleaning the toilet would be a minimum requirement! Additionally the table was dirty. I didn't inspect further. There was candy on the floor, both queen beds had not been changed since last stay, know this from there was crumbs still on the bed and candy. Additionally, the soap in the dispenser by the sink did not have enough soap to wash my hands had to go get bar soap from the front desk, and when I told them there was no offer to get it refilled. Also not enough body wash in the dispenser in the shower to shower with. The housekeeping was seriously lacking. I would advise staying somewhere else. read more

The hotel is relatively new. It's nice and clean with a welcoming lobby area. There's also a pool. Rooms are a little small, but the comfortable bed made up for it. There's no desk, but there's a small table on wheels under the TV for eating a meal in your room. The TV has a nice selection of channels, including multiple HBO and Cinemax channels for all of the movie lovers! Toiletries were nice - "Not Soap, Radio" brand. I LOVE the lemon scented hand soap, body wash and lotion. We appreciate the bulletin board in the lobby area with suggestions for things to do, places to go and restaurants to try. I hope to visit Bowling Green again and to stay at this wonderful hotel again! read more

Incredible weekend sleepover for the girls at the most eclectic hotel in the area. The hospitality provided and atmosphere created by the staff are incredible. They allow kids to be kids and to just have fun. They've also decorated and laid out the lobby to provide the perfect backdrop for photo ops to make you travel Instagram standout. This place has the feel of a European youth hostel. It is geared to millenials.... so you don't get a traditional hotel feel. Very open with games all over the lobby. Breakfast was just ok.. Will be sticking with Hampton Inn or Doubletree in the Hilton Family of hotels. read more

We were traveling through the area and saw that this was a new Hilton property. We have always enjoyed staying at Hilton Hampton Inns in the past so we thought we would give this new place a try. It is a very convenient location, just a few miles off the interstate. It is a very modern place with lots of quirky decorations around. We checked in a were welcomed as an Honors Member and given the Honors welcome bag. The young lady that checked us in, Kerigan, was very friendly and helpful as she explained everything especially the breakfast. They have special waffle boats you make yourself and you can add any of 30 items to them. The M&Ms were a big hit with the kids. It's quite a spread and everything is fresh and kept filled. The room is adequate in size and has everything one would need to be comfortable, especially the bed. The TV is a huge 55 inch.There are plenty of plugs and USB ports to plug into in the room as well as throughput the lobby and eating area. There is free wifi and wireless printing. You will very likely see the Mgr., Bill. He is constantly on the move making sure everything is just right for the guests. He will stop you and ask if everything if all right. You can't miss him in his orange sneakers. This is definitely a no frills but, very nice place to stay. read more

Possibly Top 5 worst hotels I've ever stayed. The whole concept behind this place is just odd. I think they try to market themselves as a modern style property but to me it feels cheaply executed. The rooms are clean but very stark and cold feeling. The beds are not very comfortable, but i have lower back issues and need a softer mattress so those of you with normal backs shouldn't have any problems. The staff are a little strange but I think that's more indicative of the locality and labor market rather than Hilton management. The hotel walls are paper thin and consequently it's very noisy making it impossible to relax and recharge. You hear everything from loud guests to slamming doors, heavy foot steps, and screaming kids. The breakfast (if you want to call it that) is really bad. Powdered eggs and a weird pancake machine that occasionally spits out these rubbery tasteless round sponge things along with a pot of starchy goo that I suppose is supposed to pass as oatmeal are the highlights of one of the worst hotel breakfast buffets I've experienced ladies and gentlemen. Proceed at your own risk. Tru Hilton is just Truly Bad in my humble opinion, and certainly not worth anywhere close to what they charge. Avoid. read more

A Tru-ly miserable place!!! Horrible rooms with sparse, cheap, falling-apart furniture. Electrically controlled window blinds that didn't work in either room. No place to put your luggage and FOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS ABOVE YOUR BED. We rearranged furniture - moving the larger 'desk' table near the beds and put the lamp on it so we wouldn't be blinded. Stupid design!! The thermostat didn't control the air conditioner/heater plus it sounded like a Jet Airplane. The whole room gave you a feeling of cheap, not-maintained, overly sparse. I would have liked to have a space to set up my laptop but ended up with it on my lap on the bed. NO I DON'T WANT TO WORK IN THE LOBBY. I don't know who would like this concept but it sure wasn't us. No carpet in the room would have been okay if our feet didn't stick to the floor. Ugh!!! Breakfast? Lukewarm oatmeal, several people waiting for pancakes which looked dry & unappealing. OJ was okay. Paper thin walls. Staff are not properly trained. Checked two couples into rooms that were already occupied. One of those couples was checked into another room that was also occupied! Heard the staff talking at breakfast about two lost guests. They were not lost, just put in different rooms. My key card stopped working and the front desk staff were rude. The lady then proceeded to put in a complaint on my Hilton Honors account. I'm not sure how that is possible. I got a email saying I put in a complaint but I didn't. read more

This hotel was clean with great staff. I felt they were very dedicated to COVID-19 precautions. There were lots of games for kids/family in the lobby... foosball, board and video games, with plenty of sanitizing wipes everywhere. A nice patio with comfy furniture outside. Free breakfast was tasty. The downside was that it was very minimalist... small rooms with no closets (clothes were hung on hangers on decorative posts on the wall), no microwave or coffee pot. There was a mini fridge. The biggest problem was that the walls were so thin we could hear the guy next door snoring and they could hear our TV when it wasn't very loud. read more
