Great hotel, especially for the avid traveler. Brand new just over a year old so every thing is clean and smells fresh. The location is perfect. Right off 65 behind greenwood mall. The room layouts a spacious and the kitchen areas are great. They have the updated NFC keys so no worries about demagnetizing your key. They have the usual breakfast items of most hotels, but I stay in suite hotels because I cook all my meals so I don't eat their food. The laundry area is bigger than most I've seen with 3 washers and 6 dryers. The gym has 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, some free weights and medicine balls. Their snack center has plenty to choose from and you can get beer and wine. If you need groceries there is a Kroger within walking distance. The a blouse best thing about this place is the staff!! They are amazing!! Very professional, kind and outstanding at their job!! One note, this hotel gets a lot of use due to its location (corvette museum) so I would recommend booking early.

The toenail housekeeping couldn't seem to find.

For a "new" hotel, they need to do some maintenance. There were cracks in the walls and paint. The room looked and smelled much older then the building it was in. I had a 2 bdrm suite with kitchen for 6 nights. Checked in on Saturday, and Sunday the room was not cleaned, the TP and paper towels were not refilled, and there was no vacuuming. We had to visit the front desk EVERY day of our stay to ask for a roll of TP and or paper towels They have cards in the room that state that a "deep cleaning" will only be done between guests or by request during your stay. On Sunday night I noticed a toenail clipping (NOT mine!!) in one of the bedrooms. First thing Monday morning, I requested vacuuming. Came back later that evening, the toenail was still there. Wednesday morning I inquired again at the front desk about cleaning, asked again that the room be cleaned and actually watched the clerk take notes and write DEEP CLEANING on the housekeeping form. Came back later that evening, the toenail was still there. I was checking out the next day so I didn't bother asking for another attempt at cleaning. Maybe if I'm ever in Bowling Green again, I will go visit the resilient clipping. I'm sure housekeeping will not have managed to clean it up yet.

This is our go to stop when traveling to Kentucky. Customer service is consistent, rooms are clean and maintained, and breakfast is decent.

Upon entering, there was a hallway doubling as a kitchen, with a spacious closet, functional door locks, and a well stocked and well lit kitchen.

I'll never stay here again. And seriously, what is with all the artificial perfume in the lobby and hallways? If you're trying to cover up smells, try cleaning! Try baking soda! Try airing it out! You can't just spray five cans of air freshener at it every day! I shudder to think what it's doing to the staff's endocrine systems...

Candlewood and Holiday Inn Express are both parts of the IHG Hotel group which means they share the same loyalty program. We were looking for a hotel in the Bowling Green, KY area and were hoping to use reward points. That's when we found the Candlewood Suites. Being an extended stay hotel means that all of the rooms had a fully equipped small kitchenette with a small cooktop, a full-size refrigerator, microwave pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. In addition, there are other small appliances (blenders, slow cookers, etc.) available for loan in the lobby. Also available for loan are a variety of DVRs and board games. There is also a free laundry available for guest use. A small convenience store in the lobby offers a iimited selection of frozen and other microwavable meals plus snacks and beverages. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a large desk/table and a very comfy lounge chair. The hotel was very clean, very quiet and the staff was very friendly. Don't let the idea of "extended stay" make you avoid certain hotels. This was a very nice place for a 1-night stay.

Anna's Is the Foundation for My Love of Food…read more I first walked into Anna's in 2007 at the old location on Three Springs Rd. I was a 21 y/o small-town Kentucky kid whose culinary range extended to chicken tenders and French fries. I had no real curiosity about other cultures through food. I wasn't looking for adventure. I just wanted dinner. Then I took my first real date there. We ordered the lamb gyro, saganaki, and tzatziki. I still remember that saganaki arriving and the server screaming "OPA!", as it hit the table. That meal changed something in me. It was my first true cultural food experience, and it expanded my imagination in a way I didn't even understand at the time. From that point on, I went almost weekly. Everything Anna touches is gold. There is intention in the flavors, pride in the execution, and warmth in the experience. One night around 2010, I was the only customer in the restaurant. Vilson was serving me. I confidently ordered a White Zinfandel. He laughed and said, "Oh, some sweet tea with a bit of alcohol in it, eh?" Then he brought me a glass of Greek wine on the house instead. That small moment meant more than he probably realized. It was my invitation to GROW. I live in Seattle now. I've become an Elite Yelp reviewer and spend much of my time exploring restaurants, chefs, and cuisines from all around the world. I seek out bold flavors. I travel for food. I write about it constantly. And yet- twice a year, every year, when I return home to Kentucky, there is one place I always make sure to visit: Anna's. Always. Because this is where it started. If you read my Yelp bio, you'll see that saganaki from Anna's has been listed as my "last meal" choice since the day I created my account. That isn't nostalgia. That's impact. Anna and Vilson didn't just open a restaurant. They ignited a lifelong passion in a 21-year-old country boy who didn't know what he was missing. Some restaurants feed you. A few change you. Anna's changed me. Forever grateful.

I came here with a group, and I had the Vegetarian Briamai, which can also be made vegan if you ask them to leave off the feta. We also had an order of pita and tzatziki for an appetizer, and that hit the spot. While we didn't order the Saganaki flaming cheese, we saw it come out for another table, and it's quite a show- even if I can't attest to the taste. The only reason for my four stars instead of five is that the menu the server hands you is not complete, so be sure to check out the online menu to see ALL of the offerings. They do have more seafood and vegetarian offerings than what the paper menu shows, and you can also view photos and reviews of the food on their website/online menu. One of the reviews from 2024 mentioned the price differences, and this is still true in 2026. The prices on the website and in real life are a bit more expensive than the menus, so if you want the true cost of your meal, pay attention to the online menu. Anna's is a great choice for dinner; all of us enjoyed our food and found something we liked, from meat eaters to vegans. Plus, the sensory experience of being in a renovated church is nice and not something you'd expect in a small town like Bowling Green.
