Bernard was so welcoming at breakfast. Kindhearted and hardworking. Breakfast items all stocked and ready for sleepyheads to get some coffee and nourishment at the dining area near reception. I felt like I was in a brand new youth hostel . Quiet all night long, Private shower in the bathroom , no carpet in the room, no frills yet comfortably decorated. Like a trendy dorm room. BIG SCREEN TV. (I slept just fine. Just a new style of Hilton room for me!) Bed was comfy and fluffy. Nice experience

We have stayed at Tru hotels repeatedly and I think we found our winner for the worst Tru location. I will say, this is a great location to stay at if you are looking to go shopping. There are plenty of stores surrounding this hotel, especially the outlet center nearby. We were just looking to stay here because we have had good experiences with Tru hotels. First problem was hubs chose our room in advance and when we were attempting to open the door, we realized the hotel changed the room to a couple doors down, without any notification. That pissed us off. Once we entered the room, not much looked out of the ordinary, until we settled for a minute and observed our surroundings. The floor looked and felt like it had not been cleaned in months. It looked/felt like there was 5 layers of film and dirt. There was garbage debris in the bathroom, on the floor. The window shade was all shredded. Oh and no "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the doorknob. This was all first impression factors so wait, there's more! When we went downstairs to the lobby, there were two employees there. I have eaten hospital food with more life and personality than these two people. I never saw one of them women move. The other just kinda glanced at us and even after I initiated a hello, nothing. There were maybe 2 snacks in the market, some Dunkin coffees in the refrigerator, and 5 different beers in the refrigerator. There was a lonely split of Francis Coppola Prosecco sitting on top, which should have been chilled. When hubs asked for the do not disturb sign and a late checkout, they were clueless and did not provide either. We were hoping they were not the overnight crew, which we were lucky and someone else came in. She was friendly, mature, and very helpful. Bonus nightcap, we watched 2 people randomly walking far enough from the hotel but then all the cops, EMTs, and firefighters showed up so idk what was happening. Next morning, we were too tired to go to breakfast and I really didn't want to deal with any disappointment so we slept in. Fun times getting ready though. There was no pressure at all in the shower and I almost fell a couple of times because the shower floor was so slippery. The sink did not drain, which was not cool. The laundry bag was stuck to the shelf. Gross. Oh and I woke up every time the thermostat clicked on because it buzzed. If this hotel was like maybe $50 a night, I might stay here again.

I never stay at the Hilton, but this one was worth it. The location, the cleanliness, the upgraded interior, the modern design, the amenities everything about this was perfect. This room was booked for us for a ministry trip and I was comfortable. I felt safe the view was amazing for the room that we had. We only stayed for one night, but did not want to leave. We didn't get to use half of the amenities. The shower was clean and I was thoroughly pleased. They also have breakfast downstairs and microwave for use with a small store with quick to go food items. And what caught me by surprise was the pancake maker instead of a waffle maker what a nice touch! We were greeted upon arrival. Staff is friendly and attentive. Someone is always at the desk and we receive our complementary two bottles of water which was a very nice touch. Staying here made me want to consider the Hilton brand next time we come to visit.

Super nice staff. Found the bed sheets were never changed. Stains and pubic hairs on the sheets. They did give us another room which was a pain since we had already unpacked a bit. Nothing else was done about the issue and inconvenience for us, no discount on the room or anything. First time at a Tru, not sure we would do it again.

Great stay. Good location. Close to everything in Smithfield/Selma. We stay here to break up our travel from upstate NY to Myrtle Beach. This hotel is clean and modern.

Stayed here for 1 night since it's pet friendly and reasonably priced, found 2 fleas on my dog in the morning. Absolutely unacceptable.

Bed was old - when you hear creaking and feel the springs the mattress needs to be replaced. No soap in the bathroom was provided. Breakfast was not as good as it was in the past. No muffins, fruit, yogurt or oatmeal as is customary on the regular menu, nor any hard boiled eggs. Very little options. Our neighbors had a dog - who barked both late and early. They also slammed the door several times before we could fall asleep. We have stayed several times at this location before, but will not return.

But after sitting in the lobby for about 30 minutes, I was given an upgraded room. I'm not sure if this was because of my Titanium status or because of the wait. The prices are reasonable here. The parking lot was a good size, and the location was close to the outlets but not too far away from downtown either. It is also near I-95 and Route 301. I was provided a Welcome Bag with a bottle of water and some Chex Mix. My room was on the third floor, near the elevators. I wish there were more soundproofing, but the room was clean and provided an area for me to wind down. Extra pillows, sheets and blankets were provided. The cable channels were numerous this visit, and the WIFI was fast and reliable. I liked that there was natural light during the day and enough lighting at night. The mattresses are near the end of their life, as I could still feel the springs. Breakfast could use a few more offerings, and the tables could be cleaned in between guests.

RUNNNN! If I could leave 0 stars I would! DO NOT STAY HERE! The place is FILTHY rooms are FILTHY…read moresheets STINK pool is FILTHY you can literally see the dirt floating around we didn't even put a toe in! The room has ROACHES! Lamps don't even have LIGHT BULBS! Front desk staff is RUDE JENNY to be specific along with MANAGEMENT and they're terrible LIARS! We stayed here 1 night and had to deal with ALL of these things which was very unfortunate! I called front desk immediately that night when we seen the roach crawling on our nightstand and was told she wrote down my information to give to the "owner" for me to get a refund but she DIDNT want to switch my room since we were checking out the very next morning. I stopped to the front desk to speak with the "owner" during checkout and was told he was "busy" he would give me a call before he left I NEVER got a call that day! I called the next day asked to speak with him and was told he wasn't in that day he'd be in the following day at 10AM. I called that following day at 10AM and was told he wouldn't be in until 12PM I immediately started expressing my concern with the lies I was dealing with and told her I would call back at 12PM she proceeded to say "wellll I'm not sure if he'll be here right at 12" so I said "WELL ILL CALL IN BETWEEN 12 & 1"! All of a sudden she wanted to ask questions about what happened with my stay when everything should've already been DOCUMENTED! I called back a little after 12 and still couldn't speak with him. Ended up getting a call from the owner just for us both to say HELLO and he hung up immediately just to SAY he called! I called back IMMEDIATELY when he hung up just for him to answer say hello and run to the front desk put me on MUTE and give Jenny the phone to LIE and say he wasn't there and to tell me the OWNER doesn't do refunds I would have to go through my third party I booked with! THEN she proceeded to LIE and say he called me previously that day but I didn't answer! I had my phone ALL day that day NEVER got a call from him so that was another lie! I called Expedia started the process and they called the hotel for JENNY to get on the phone and LIE LIE LIE! She told them we checked out a HOUR late when that was a LIE checkout is at 12PM checked out at 11:58AM! We IMMEDIATELY got breakfast right up the road when we left and I have the bank statements to PROVE IT! If we checked out late I would've been CHARGED! She also LIED and said I REFUSED to switch rooms that night I called and made the complaint! Who the fck wants to sleep with BUGS why wouldn't I want to switch rooms! I got NO rest in that hotel and I'm PREGNANT if only we were closer to home I would've LEFT IMMEDIATELY! I will post a few pictures that I have and I ALSO have our conversations recorded something they DONT know but do now that they're reading this review and will try to reply with fake a$$ apologies SAVE IT!

I wanted a comfortable and stress-free place for him to recover, but unfortunately, our experience was anything but that. When we arrived, we discovered that the sink in our room was completely clogged and would not drain. After my fiancé had already undergone shots in his eyes, we were forced to pack up all of our belongings and move rooms at nearly midnight. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. The employee who moved us to the second room had apparently not checked it properly because, once we got settled in, we discovered that the refrigerator did not work. This was a serious issue because my fiancé's Lantus insulin needed to be refrigerated. We were forced to keep it in a cooler, and all of the ice eventually melted. We still don't know whether the medication was compromised or not, which is extremely concerning given its importance to his health. The one bright spot in this entire experience was a night-shift employee named Kahn. She was kind, compassionate, and genuinely tried to help us. She was the only positive part of our stay, and I greatly appreciate her efforts. To make matters worse, the manager (MR. PATEL) assured us that we would receive at least a 20% discount for all the inconvenience and issues we experienced. However, when the bill was finalized, we received only a 10% discount. I have stayed at other Comfort Inn locations and have always had positive experiences, which makes this stay even more disappointing. Between the maintenance issues, the disruption after a medical procedure, and the concerns over essential medication storage, this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I have ever had. I would strongly recommend that travelers choose another property. Save yourself the frustration and stay elsewhere! Side note: If I could post photos here, I absolutely would. If privacy is important to you, this is not the place to stay. The curtains were so thin that you could easily see both inside and outside the room. On the bright side, I suppose no one could accuse you of indecent exposure because everything was already on display! Also, be sure to bring flip-flops if you plan to shower. The bathtub was so dirty and grimy that I chose not to shower during my entire stay. The condition of the room truly made me appreciate being back home. To make matters worse, the refrigerator had mold inside it, and there were plugs covering the peepholes in the door. I have no idea why. Between the cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, and overall condition of the property, I was completely disgusted by the experience. I'm sure there are other issues I've forgotten to mention, but my recommendation is simple: pass on this one. There are far better places to spend your money.

We booked two adjoining rooms, one for my parents and one for me. We brought our luggage in and dropped everything off in my parent's room. We then left the room to go across the street to eat dinner. Upon entering my room for the first time, I went to turn on the light and noticed the lampshade had bodily fluids all over it. My dad had to fix the stopper in the sink because it wasn't connected. Our mattresses had giant stains all over them and our linens had hair on them. I then opened up the drawers and saw little bugs crawling around inside. As I was cleaning out the bug filled drawers I noticed a giant cockroach crawling up the wall!!! After I was done freaking out, I realized there is absolutely no quality control at this Comfort Inn. I immediately realized that I could not stay here. Some people say they count sheep while sleeping, the thought of me counting cockroaches was unfathomable. I would never book another stay here and hopefully you won't either.

From the moment we pulled in the place was sketchy. It was 10 pm- and people were lurking around in groups, and there was LITERALLY a lone man watching as we pulled in and smoking a BONG. My German shepherd was on high alert right from the jump. Our room was horrid. Mold on the walls and curtains, yellow stains on the comforters, bugs on the floor... not to mention the brown smudges in RANDOM places. I'm not even kidding. When I called the front desk and asked for a different room- she said they were sold out (which I found incredibly hard to believe) So we were stuck, exhausted and completely grossed out. I slept with one eye open due to the constant yelling outside. Also went to sleep in my shower cap and pants tucked into my socks. At 3:00 am a car full of loud and rowdy people pulled in outside the room, walking back and forth in front of our room screaming and arguing. Normally I don't allow my dog to bark at people, but I gave her the okay because I felt unsafe. The noise went on until about 4:30 am, and I sat awake watching nervously as my family slept. Also- lock on door was broken- so you can imagine the angst I felt. The grass outside was overgrown and there was debris littering the area. I don't know if it was just the area of the hotel we were in, or people use this hotel for god knows what- but it was a horrible experience.
