    Sleeper sofa in suite room

We planned ahead to stop here overnight on our way to points south. From Maryland, it was about the halfway point. Convenient location right off 95 with many choices for hungry travelers close by. This Comfort Suites seems to be in the middle of a renovation (yahhh, Choice Hotels) but nothing was going on that disturbed our visit on a Friday evening. This location also seems to be a stopping point for families on their way to points south as well as there were many of them. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and gazebo, picnic tables and charcoal grills, cornhole game and volleyball net with plenty of other green space for kids to play. I thought that was a nice touch. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Bonus points for the charger/electrical port at bedside. The free hot breakfast in the morning was good. If we find ourselves going in this direction again, we would definitely consider staying here in the future.

I travel 45+ days a year and stay in every imaginable type of property. I have no loyalty to any brand or option, I use all of them; hotels, AirBNB, VRBO, Bed and Breakfasts - it doesn't matter as long as it is clean and convenient. I literally belong to every known hotel loyalty program out there (Marriott, Hilton, etc...) I have been a Choice Hotel member for over 20 years and I have to say this is the most disappointed I have ever been in one of their properties. When we arrived, we learned the elevator was broken as well as the Wi-Fi due to a lightning strike the previous night. Fair enough, I understand there are acts of nature from time to time, so I wasn't that upset about that. The condition of our room when we arrived was a different story. The room was poorly lit, and no side table lamps, which made it impossible to read in bed. The mini-fridge appeared to have leaked onto the floor and left a large stain on the carpet and the carpet was damp near the air conditioning unit. If I wasn't so tired from traveling, I would have walked across the street to the other hotel. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling or looked to have been removed due to water damage. The water in the bath tub/shower dripped, which was loud enough that I had to shut the door to sleep. The only thing that made me give this place 1 star instead of ZERO stars was the breakfast, because it was your standard fair. It was stocked and the staff person was warm and welcoming in the morning and brewed great coffee. The icing on the cake is when I arrived home, I received and email with the "Additional Charges" from my stay which included a $1 charge for a hydro-massage (which I didn't receive), and a $3.99 charge for Hotel Services fee - for which I was never informed. This type of practice does nothing but give this property a bad name. My only advice is to AVOID this at all costs!!!

Selected this hotel for its convenience and seemed to have good ratings. Was driving for 8 hours shocked in dropped my stuff and went out to dinner. When I returned I went into the bathroom and saw the mess on the wall. A short time later saw there was water leaking g from the toilet into the floor? How do this things go I corrected? Are the housekeeping folk blind to these issues or it it management not being responsive. Am booked to stay here again on my return and think I better look forward another property.

I stayed for 2 nights since I was in town working on a project at a client site. My client suggested that this was one of the "nicer" places to stay in Wilson. It is a typical Comfort Suites - nothing exciting or outstanding about it... but I gave it 4 stars because it was clean & the front desk staffers were friendly. I booked a king & found the bed to be comfy with plenty of pillows to choose from. I like that they had a plug-in station on the desk convenient for charging phone, tablet, & laptop all at once. However I do wish hotels would add accessible charging stations right by the bed for phone charging. The room also has microwave, coffee maker & mini-fridge which are nice to have when you are on the road. I skipped the free breakfast but did get coffee, which was not bad. While getting my coffee, I noticed that they had some sort of eggs & breakfast meat available in addition to pastries, apples, yogurt, cereal, etc.

We stay here frequently on business trips. Convenient location and very nice staff. However, they need to a much better job paying attention to the details. The attached photo is of the sofa in our room on our most recent stay. Obviously, we elected not to sit on it and I can't imagine anyone would. Management needs to pay attention to things like this. My review would have been 5 stars if it had not been for the very obvious stains on the furniture.

Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Not giving 5 stars because there was no cream cheese for the bagels. And the coffee was not the best.

For some folks, this might have been the only hotel stay they'd have for years. And some folks don't have insurance. If that'd been us, this would have been a big deal. IHG and the hotel management need to treat every guest as if this was their one hotel stay ever. As if they'd spent their savings to pay for a room. Because that's NOT their approach to customers, I'll stay elsewhere. (Friend just texted and asked me about this review which reminded me... I talked to the hotel manager on Monday. Told her the room smelled weird (like sicky sweet) when we got there at midnight, but that we couldn't really leave since it was so late. She said it was probably because an old lady stayed there before us and "you know how old ladies smell". ) Really... stay somewhere else.

The first thing I noticed when we walked (and as we drove up to the hotel) in was how incredibly clean the hotel was and a sign rating this an "A" 98.0 for cleanliness. The staff at the front desk were so welcoming and very nice. I included pictures of our room, it was immaculate and smelled clean. I've travelled a lot and stayed at many properties and some have that stale hotel smell, this one didn't. It was quiet and very comfortable. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, I had no problems falling asleep. The bathroom and vanity are separate both offering Dove soaps, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, full size containers. Free breakfast everyday, with eggs, meats, fruit, yogurt, etc. On the weekends breakfast is served from 7-10 am. We had the cheese omelet making it into a sandwich with crispy bacon. I can't say enough good things about this property. We are now thinking of making this a permanent spot whenever we travel to the area. Bravo to the staff, you are stellar at making your customers feel welcome and content (filling breakfast). Thank you for a great stay!

When I told her my last name, the first thing she said was "I thought it was a typo". Then when she asked for my ID, I showed her my driver's license and my entire name on the credit card. She kept questioning me about my name not matching. I told her do you want to hear my NJDMV story? Then she finally stopped. No hotel has ever greeted me like this. Then, she asked me repeatedly do I have pets. I said no, just arrived after driving from Disney World. As I signed the paperwork to guarantee that I do not have pets, she kept on "reminding" me do I have pets. At that point after 5 minutes of the check in process I just wanted to go to my room. I booked a king suite back in January. The description on the room said jetted tub. I was looking forward to having a bath. When I walked into the room, there was no bath tub of any kind. I will file a complaint directly to headquarters. Then came asking for a morning call. I called several times before the young lady answered. I told her I wanted a morning call at 7:15. I was surprised she did not know from her system which room was calling. Or maybe she just wanted to confirm the room number? The room was very large and the bed was comfy. Everything in the room was good, except the jetted tub was missing. This morning, at 7:15, there was a knock on my door. Apparently that was the morning call! Instead of a phone call, another young lady came and knocked on my door as morning call. What?? This was totally unexpected. I am now really wondering what kind of phone system this hotel was using. Breakfast was excellent. The two ladies running the breakfast were very nice. Check out was easy and fast. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the lobby was clean. There was only one elevator, and it was very small. I am just not sure the price I paid for the night was worth all the troubles. I would recommend booking at another hotel if you are in the area.

We got delayed by traffic and construction and couldn't make our destination, and were forced to find a last minute place to stay. My wife called the national Wyndham booking number, and a nice woman helped us find this motel in Wilson, NC... Turns out if you have to check in late, they won't even let you into the lobby. The whole transaction takes place through a tiny hole in a window where a young woman takes your credit card and then walks out of sight for 3-4 minutes to run it through a credit card machine. Both my wife and I remarked how unusual it is to have one's card out of sight for so long. Usually this transaction would happen right at the window without the card ever leaving the customer's hand. In this era of identity theft, it's a perfect opportunity for someone to run your card through a skimmer without you ever even knowing it. (We've had vital information stolen before.) When we mentioned this, the young woman grew instantly hostile, saying "Why would you accuse me of stealing your money?" shouting at us through the tiny hole in the window. Ugh, another arrogant Gen Z drone providing the antithesis of customer service... In addition, the motel adds a $50 fee to your bill up front, they say in case you damage the room... Well, not surprisingly, when you finally get through all the front window drama and find your room, you'll see they apparently all come pre-damaged: Broken locks, chair gashes in the wallpaper, and such a big air gap in the door frame that cold air and traffic noise pour in all night long... Wyndham should really check in on these franchisees to see if they still merit the brand... Like I said, sleep in the car..
