This is a going…read moreto be a relatively long review and I apologize but I just want to make sure I communicate how uberly amazing these trainers are. So grab popcorn and read on. Even before we had a pup, my Hubs was interested in putting the pup (that we didn't have yet) in training. Hubs goal was to have a "off leash" dog that will behave and stick to us while off leash. We started looking around and didn't really know where to go. Months later we got the pup and a friend of ours had recommended Uber. Then we saw how much they cost. Eeeek! Didn't feel like we could afford that. So we asked our neighbor for their trainer...still expensive...and pondered going that route. After sleepless nights from crate training a now 10 week old puppy, I got online and set up a FREE 1hr in home demo with Uber. I was ready to give my dog back to where he came from or pack up and move out...lol!! Puppies are crazy! Uber offers this for free because it's treated like a consultation. The owner comes to do the in-home demo and I was so comfortable with his ways, views and method. He had our pups attention within 2 minutes. He then takes us outside to show us his dog and what Uber will teach Our dog to eventually do. Me, my hubs, and even our pup stood in our front yard with our mouths wide open in amazement at the control he had and bond he has with his dog. Sold. Sitting on the couch with zits and messed up hair we signed little Valentino (my pup) up. And to this day I am SO glad we did. It's well worth it. For about $1800 you get 1 puppy lesson that's private(if you have a small puppy I guess?) and 4 private 1 on 1 lessons. You get an E-collar (not to be confused with a shock collar...they are totally different) and you get group classes for the lifetime of the dog. Meaning you get to go to every.single.group training class no matter how many there are in a day week or month!! That's such a great deal. You are constantly training the dog and socializing them at the same time. After our first private lesson we saw a tremendous difference. He slept better at night, was calmer during the day and was starting to build the bond and trust between us and pup! Valentino is now 7 months and he's so well behaved. We hardly use the e collar and most people think he's fully matured because of his behavior when we go in public. We take him everywhere and train him everywhere. He's not afraid of fireworks or loud noises. I can give him a "place" command and vacuum and/or sweep around him and he just watches. He won't move until I tell him he can. All this is because of what we learned at uber. They give you the resources and work so well with all dogs. You have to put in the work ...don't expect to just do classes and then not do anything when your home. Best investment we could have ever made. I'm now teaching Val to "switch" ...he heals and sits on my left and when I say "switch" he moves and sits on my right. He's only 7 months. Proud puppy momma. Thank you Uber!!! Rascal…read more Had been going to Dogs Way Inn for many years when recently we needed to kennel our dog for a family trip. Unfortunately, we had one of the worst experiences any pet owner can imagine. Our dog was staying for nine nights from 7/12-7/20 and the condition I found our dog was quite frankly disgusting. I knew something was wrong when the first thing the receptionist said was, Oh, I'm supposed to tell you that your dog has had diarrhea since he got here and we've been giving him something to try and help. Hello, did anyone call my wife or I to inform us of this? Or ask about giving him something without our knowledge? NOPE. Did anyone call me or my wife later in the week to tell us he is still having issues? NOPE. Upon seeing him and taking him out to the truck, his entire rear was covered in feces! Did anyone clean him up to present to me? NOPE. What kind of kennel hires employees who don't take the time to fully check the dog over that they are bringing out? Do they just not care? When I walked him out to the truck he was so lethargic, he could hardly get up into the truck. I immediately drove to our local Vet who recommended some meds to stop the diarrhea and suggested I try and get a stool sample. Unfortunately, he was so lethargic and I subsequently discovered completely dehydrated that it wasn't possible. Upon getting home and a much closer look at his condition, I noticed something red around the side lips of his mouth. He was bleeding on both sides of his mouth from complete dehydration. We tried to give home some water, but he wasn't interested. When the gave him a thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, his fur is stained with the constant feces that was on it. Later in that morning my wife received a call from the receptionist who said we would be getting a phone call Amy later in the day and now offered a free bath? It's now Wednesday and Amy finally called my wife and asked about our dog and if there was anything they could do? Where was the care and concern when we left him in your custody? Really, over 48 hours after we've picked him up and literally round the clock care by us we finally get a call? Wednesday morning was the first day he has had a some what normal stool which we could take to the Vet for testing. His mouth is healing but he has some hanging skin on the side that may need further attention. He is slowly getting his strength and energy back and having an appetite. But should any pet owner have to go thru this? Absolutely not!

I grew up in a family that raised dogs. Bird dogs specifically. From the earliest years of my life my father raised chocolate labs, black labs, golden retrievers and yellow labs. Some were family dogs, some hunting dogs. I was put at the task of basic commands training by my father. This entailed house breaking them. Sit. Stay. Down. 3 basiccom ands. People would pay a deposit for a puppy. Once the litter was born depending on male, female, also color and breed specific my father would set a price and we would get the basic commands. If they were to be pheasant hunting or duck hunting dogs their stay with us would be longer. I KNOW QHAT IT TAKES TO TRAIN A DOG. IN 1985 E COLLARS HAD NOT COME OUT AND WERE FROWNED UPON BY TRAINERS AND OWNERS. WE NEVER USED THEM. REPUTUTION, AND REWARDS WITH PRAISE HAVE ALWAYS WORKED. TRIEDAND TRUE. I've had pitbulls, German shepherd, cane Corso, labs, Bassett hounds. But in 2020 my 3rd German shepherd passed away.Not Ling after me and my families Bassett hound passed. My children were devastated. My wife and I were heart broken. In January 12, 2021 my wife of 17 years and I were hit on our harley davidson motorcycle going to dinner. She passed away on the scene. I was airlifted to grand strand. I lost my right arm. Had a TBI. Broken legs and hips. Multiple injuries inside and out. I had a 4% chance of survival. Fast forward 6 months I arrive to my families home in Conway. My 9 year old and 5 year old are devastated. They lost everything, even their beloved shepherd. My dad suggested I get another puppy. We found one. Pure bred with papers. My father and I. Me very limited in a wheelchair started with crate training. Then he had a sudden heart attack and passed. 2 months passed. Ava, my German shepherd puppy needed more training than my disability and injuries would allow me to do from a wheelchair with one arm. I decided to call around. I called several listed on the internet. But the woman from Rocky Road K9-SC set an appointment and came to do an estimate I guess. She was adamant about the dog going to the vet, no problem. Just wanted to work with one vet. One trainer. We set up for where to take her to get a physical and shots. Kaitlyn said that she would be by the following Friday to begin training. Unfortunately due to my TBI I forgot to mention that Kaitlyn sold us on her 2 week program in house. In her contract it stated $2590 due up front. I explained I wanted her to be a service dog but basic commands were essential and I was physically limited. Now kind of strange to me. I read in the contract e collars could be used for problem dogs. But this was a puppy. A sweet smart confident puppy. I thought the price was high. But a service dog is an investment. Plus the way she explained herself and passion for animals I trusted her. WRONG. She took my puppy on a hor day, shoved her in a hunting dog crate inthe back of her puck up truck. I paid $+200 cash down. No receipt. No signed contract on her end. But again. I had a brain injury. I was grieving. My wife and father. She had promised pics and she did post some. I messaged to check on Ava and was told everything is going well. We even worked with her walking around wheelchair. 2 weeks up. She brought her home. Not 5 miss in the house she peed on the floor. Kaitlyn explained the training collar. I wasn't keen on it. But I specifically asked if they did leash work. She spent more time telling me she was a cop. Her husband was a cop. They have cwp , they know all horry county police. Blah blah. Then left. I worked with Ava every day for 2 qeeks. The e collar didn't do anything. She jumped on kids. Bit me 2x. Takes food off the counter. Pee and poop in crate. I called Kaitlyn. Very annoyed she agreed to take ava for a weekend refresher. Ava came back worse. I sent her $399 through cashapp as a thank you. Again I worked with Ava. 3 weeks. I finally messaged Kaitlyn and told her. She'sjumping. Foung to the bathroom in crate. Stealing food off counter. Nipping. She gave me a guaranteethat they would stick withme throughthis training. Guaranteed. She refusedto answer calls. Told me I wasn't followingup with training at home. Bullcrap. I have plentyofexperience just not physicallyable. Now I have a dog. I've spent over $2900 just in training that will not obey without a shock collar on. She's more worriedabout bringing pitbulls that need rehabbed in than payingcustomers. I have no recourse as she posts everyday about how great dogs are doing and how much work she puts in. Liar, liar. I'm in the process of filing a lawsuit. I have an interviewwith a news channel that will air out her rip off business. If you value your dog, don't bring it to rocky Road k9 SC.
