I went to true nails on November 11 for the first time and my experience was great. Ashley did my nails the first time. I returned 12/6/25 I could've waited five more days for it to be one month but I was excited to get them done. I really didn't need to just yet. Ashley did a fantastic job on my previous set so there was no lifting or any broken nails fast forward JJ does my nails solely based off an inspiration picture. I went out tonight and the waitress asked me where did I get my nails done (which reminded me to Leave a review) and I informed her of course, so stop by Tru Nails to get your nails done you won't be disappointed. P.s. the vibe is great in there I had a great time with both ladies.

Got a dip manicure here last thursday- within 4 days my dip was chipping and cracking :( It was too thin and also they don't do a gel coating on top. Usually my dip never cracks, it lasts until it is grown out, for weeks. I went in for a fix and they offered to fix for free, and gave me the same man who originally did my dip. He rushed through it and added another top coat layer. Not even a day later, one of my nails is already chipped again. :( I wouldn't go here for dip - it doesn't last.

absolutely love my nails! service were very quick and gave me exactly what i asked for. As a new comer i will 100% return. The station was very clean and offered complementary soda/drinks. They also offer wine! I got an acrylic fill and turned out beautiful i definitely recommend.

I have been going to Tru Nail Lounge now for a while and overall, I like them. The three stars is because even if you make an appointment, you still wind up waiting for a long time. It's happened to me more than once. To me, that defeats the purpose of making an appointment. They have very comfortable chairs and pedicure chairs. The vibe is very relaxed. The staff is always pretty nice with the exception of one or two people. I always get the dip for my manicure and it lasts a long time. I really like it. I get gel/shellac for my pedicure and it lasts a while as well. I like the various types of pedicure options that they have available, with some of them having hot wraps, scrubs, etc. The different types of pedicures are all different price points. The prices are reasonable for Seattle, and it's not that hard to get in to get your nails done. Overall, I recommend Tru Nail Lounge for your nail needs, but I'm not sure an "appointment" is actually an appointment.

Lyna did a great job on my nails, she spent her time making sure they weren't bulky or uneven and she was super nice during the appointment. $60 is a steal for this area and quality!

I only get my nails done every couple of months as a treat. I ended up with two different tones of red. Light red on my fingers and dark red on my toes. When I pointed this out to the technician, she invalidated me. Told me that it was the same color but it just showed up different due to the amount of coats used. Make that make sense.? I called the next day to raise my concern to the owner. The owner (uncaringly) told me to pick either color on my fingers or toes and that they would fix either to match accordingly. Needless to say- I never returned. I was frustrated with the situation and at this point, wasn't even sure they would do better a second time around. I asked for a refund as a resolution for the disappointing service- not a color fix. Like many of us, I don't have unlimited time for self care. Now I am supposed to make more time to come back and fix a mistake that should have never happened in the first place? What about when I was already there and pointed out the issue? No thanks, there are other businesses in the area that better value my business and time.

If you're looking for a place that will pay attention to detail, this is your spot! My tech asks me EVERY NAIL if they are to my standard and will fix anything if I ask. I don't go to nail salons as often anymore these days but then I do, I always love to consider going to them!

I booked appointments and it was packed when we got there for our manicures and pedicures. We ended up having to wait for 30 minutes before we got in a chair. Staff did not point out the correct set of colors for me to look at while I waited so I just sat there. My nails actually turned out great and exactly how I wanted but my friend had four of her dip nails come off throughout the next week which I have never had happen after 15 years of getting my nails done! The staff were also not super friendly so it was an odd experience. It took three and a half hours for us to get done with gel pedicures and dip manicures which was wild.

the thing is is they are never consistent I've been with them since it opened I'm never going back to them ever again because the fact of the matter is my nails have consistently been uneven or not painted correctly on every side of my nails but you're gonna charge me 150 -$160 for a pedicure and a fill?! The numbers never add up... the price is also never consistent and they were doing a 20% promo for a while that apparently they were giving me but really they weren't they will charge you whatever they want, and literally sat there in the chair before anyone got there they told me to come in early and they were late. It is always like this nothing consistent or of any standards it's just a nicely decorated place with really bad service and not quality nails because mine have come out misshapen uneven and lumpy because they were not paying attention and you would think that being a customer of theirs for years they would appreciate my business read more

I have had my nails consistently done every 2-3 weeks for about 8 years. When I moved to Seattle I was worried I wouldn't find anyone as good as my friend from home. Sue at Tru Nail lounge is a genuine artist and so good at dip nails and designs. I can bring her a reference photo and she exceeds my expectation. She as well as the entire Tru Nail Lounge crew are kind, sweet and professional. The location it's self is beautiful and clean. They tend to have a full house but appointments are always easy to get. If you do come and there is a wait, please try to be patient. Everyone here does such an amazing job which wouldn't be possible if they rushed. Made an appt day of, but before I made the appt asked them if that was possible based on how busy they are. They mentioned they are not busy and to come. I walked in and all the staff was busy. When they asked if they could help me, I told them I made a 1:30 appt. They didn't say anything after that. They aren't very friendly nor say they're sorry for taking me later than my appt time. If you can't commit to an appt time then why state you can? I understand it is COVID times and I want to be considerate of that which is why I asked if they are too busy in the first place. This happens every time I have made an appt here. They are better nail places in west Seattle that I'll be going to here on out that don't take more clients in than they can commit to. read more

I must have come on an off day... I called to see if they had time for a manicure and buff/shine. Salon was very dirty and they had towels on the manicure stations that looked like they had been there all day. My manicure lasted less than 10 minutes and looked horrible - cuticles were messily trimmed, nails were all different lengths and the arm/hand massage (if you can call it that) was about 30 seconds. Definitely will not be back. read more

I decided to treat myself to a gel mani and opted for this salon - I noticed they opened rather recently and I can't imagine the challenge of starting a business during covid. I appreciated the bright (but not harsh) lights and the super clean appearance. Everything that touched my hands was straight out of one of the sani packets and I loved how clean and fresh the towels under my hands were. Although I didn't try it, I thought it was cool that one of their offerings is vegan polish. Social distancing and mask protocol was all appropriate. I'm very happy with my gel mani. I think what I most noticed this time around was how gentle my wrist was treated during the entire process. I fractured it a few weeks back, and wrapped my Ace bandage just around the wrist for the duration of my manicure and asked if we could be careful with it. My hand was treated carefully the entire time and, although I couldn't get the full arm massage, the hand itself was still massaged very gently. She even grabbed a pillow to prop my arm up while my fingers were under the UV light so I didn't have to awkwardly hold my elbow upwards to prevent the wrist from bending during that time. I would definitely come back to try the salon another time. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

My friend and I went to get manis here this week and we were both very happy! We called in the AM and they were able to get us in right away. I didn't get the names of the girls working but they were both very sweet and did wonderfully! Both my friend and I got dip nails and they turned out great. The salon was very clean and had plastic dividers for COVID precautions, and all tools used seemed clean or were single use. Additionally, the prices were reasonable for Seattle. I will definitely be going back! read more

I enjoyed my experience at Tru Nail salon. I was in & out in an hour for a classic mani & pedi which I appreciate. I normally do my nails myself so I have a high standard for quality on polish application & shape. I wanted gel which is why I came by. The techs were gentle and didn't hurt my natural nails or cuticles at all. I would definitely go back. read more

I don't usually get my nails done, but did a week or so ago because I was going on vacation. I needed to have the gel polish taken off because of having a medical procedure done so I went, for convenience, to this location. Big mistake. The gal who took my polish off never said a word, was super rough and didn't even get all the polish off. They charged me $30 for this service then gave me "the look" when I didn't give a gratuity on top! Won't be back even if I had thought about getting them done again. Won't recommend either. read more

Sue was awesome - I've had the best experience 2x there since they opened. It *is* expensive but I feel it's worth it - it's really high end and high quality manicure. We've all had the cheap really thick shellac - this is the opposite ans in my opinion, worth every penny. read more

Ended up walking out after waiting 25+ minutes with no service even though I had a reservation. None of the workers seemed to care that I was waiting that long. Only pays attention to what seemed like regulars. I've never had an experience like that even at a busy salon (this one wasn't very busy). When things run behind, the workers usually will communicate. read more

I was super hopeful that this was going to be my go to nail salon. I have been here two or three times. Maybe about two months ago, I came here to get acrylics after not getting them for years due to the job I was working. They were super pretty and well done. It was starting to grow out quite a bit and I decided I was just going to get them removed and get a simple gel manicure after. I went back here to get both services. I assumed that they were going to use acetone to take off the acrylics. Instead, she used a file to pry the acrylics off my nails. I was definitely shocked as I've never seen this technique before. I wanted to get them professionally taken off to avoid damaging my nails. Otherwise I could have ripped them off myself. I could see the damage it was doing to my nails as she lifted each one. One of my real nails broke and she used glue to keep it together. I just trusted the process and didn't say anything. My gel manicure came out super cute and looked well done. However, 5 days post manicure, one of my nails is definitely breaking and I'm sure it's because of the damage and how brittle and weak they have become now. I work in an office and have the typical wear and tear of washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. I'm just a bit disappointed since now I'll have to wait until the damage grows out to do anything to my nails again. I think I rather just do them at home from now on... read more

I went in at 6:00pm after work it was not busy but Sue the nail tech that helped me was very attentive & I felt like the quality of products was very good. I did DIP on my natural nails and asked her not to cut them just file them and she did a great job! I am someone that gets very anxious about going to nail salons because I don't want to get cut/infections etc. So much so that I was driving to Bothell-Everett to do my nails. I'm glad to have found this new salon. Sue was very welcoming and followed all the COVID19 guidelines. The salon is also offering 20% off your service due to their grand opening being just three weeks ago. I would recommend this salon to anyone!! I work in finance so many clients see my hands I usually get a lot of questions about my nails I'll be glad to let them know to come to Tru Nail Lounge!! Price for dip is $45 regularly but $36 after 20% off discount. read more

I found this place last August and have been coming every since. I cannot say enough good things about this place! They follow all the proper covid protocols and they are so welcoming and kind. I usually get a dip mani and regular pedi and have never had better!! Sue is a master and West Seattle's best kept secret for dip nails. She's meticulous and creative. I love dreaming up new nails with her. read more

Upon entry I was pleased with how clean and enforced covid-19 safety standards are. Staff is friendly and welcoming and if you'd like a glass of wine you can kindly accept while having your service done. There is a wide selection of colors that include a vegan nail collection as well as they offer dip nails. Currently all services are 20% off and I've gone in and received a really great pedicure, she was super gentle and took her time with exfoliating which I really appreciated. The color and quality is great and my pedicure lasted 2 weeks--including a few trips into the ocean! Will be back again! read more

I didnt feel pain at first but halfway through the session i heard Kiana say "Oh Shit", i was reslly nervous what she did to me and my left eyelid was on fire I i asked her to please take a break. Another customer showed up and she told the customer 5 min as if she was rushing. She showed me my eyebrows and saw she had yanked, pulled off a bunch of my eyebrows that werent supposed to be removed. This is so effed up when i made the appointment i specifically told them i wanted an eyebrow wax and i had a lot of work and trusted them. I am in pain still, my skin is irritated and extremely burned and ended up having a black eye of how rough Kiana was with my brow. I got asked at work if i was assaulted it was embarrassing. The owner Vanessa got back to me 3 hrs later, it seemed to me they were more worried about a negative review than the customer. Also Kiana has left unsatisfied customers. I will put captions on the pictures how it looked like throughout the day and reviews of different customer and texts i received. This was the most painful experience I've ever experienced when it comes to eyebrow removal. Next time I am just sticking with eyebrow wax. I gave it a try, it's definitely not for me and again more painful than thread, or wax. To each their own but had a terrible experience and wish them well. I do hope the owner obviously sees that many customers have been dissappinted by Kiaras service. My advice look into this place before you go there. My experience was awful and very painful and ended up with burned, damaged skin, and a black eye.

Taylor was recommended to me by a good friend. I am giving 2 stars because I know the ability and responsibility is here at this business. But, I am disappointed in my lashes I had done with Mimi on 12/13. I reread the reviews here with one customer saying that Mimi took a lot of breaks and rushed through lashes but did not take this seriously. My experience was the same even though Mimi was really sweet. One can take breaks all they want but I remember that when I went to Taylor, she took over an hour and did not take any phone breaks. That said, I want to be fair and say that this glue Mimi used caused an allergic reaction. I powered through and took Benadryl and religiously cleaned my lashes 2-3 times a day. I texted Mimi and she said to take allergy meds and put a warm tea bag on my eyes. Well, who wants to ruin a $275 lash job so I did not immediately rip them off myself. I woke up with swollen, crusty eyes which I spent money get Visine Allergy eye drops and Systane lid scrub wipes to attempt to keep the lashes. I went on travel to SoCal and dealt with taking Bendaryl, cleaning my lids, cleaning my lids, itching, and burning lids until 12/24. I desperately made an appointment at another lash place to get them professionally removed. I walked into H & K beauty in Mission Viejo and the lash tech there removed them for me meticulously and carefully. She did not charge me for this removal as she felt bad and wondered why I wasn't given instructions to remove them myself or why I wasn't invited back into to remove them when clearly there was an allergic reaction that led to severe redness. It is by luck I did not go blind or end up in urgent care. The lash tech showed me the amount of glue that ended up on my lids which essentially burned them. As of today, my lids not still flakey and dry but managable/hidden by the work Ha had to redo. The last tech there redid my lashes just to save my vanity and I can say that at at the time of this review, I still have extensions that look good weeks later. (3rd picture). I messaged Mimi and while she was sorry, she just told me her lids were also itchy too and instructed me get a prescription from my doctor. It was sweet she commiserated with me, but it's not about her eye lids and I don't want to spend more money to take care of my eyes at this point. The redo in SoCal was $315 and the last tech there carefully worked on my lashes for a solid 90 minutes no breaks and I had no glue residue from her work. Ha followed up every few days with me and said if my swelling did not go down, she would remove them free of charge. In all, this was a $600 ordeal for just extensions. In the future, I would not NOT go here but I would go back to Taylor. Sorry this was an honest review and Mimi is sweet but I don't think her abilities and patience are quite to up to par as Taylor and that's why in all these reviews, everyone is talking about Taylor.

I pre-booked a pedicure here, and they were ready when I arrived - a win for my busy schedule. I think it's a solid spot for a basic pedicure, though they raced through and didn't perform all the steps in the callus removal (skipped the pumice stone, which I needed!), so I ended up downgrading to the basic pedicure instead of the 2nd most expensive one that I'd originally planned on. I figured if they are skipping the most important part (softening my feet), I didn't need paraffin wax dipping, clay mask, and all that. I knew I would be leaving with dead skin still on my feet. I tend to be very forgiving of people having off days, but I also hate paying for something I'm not receiving. The staff is friendly, and my tech didn't get an attitude when I politely asked him to downgrade my service, or when I asked him not to cut out the corners of my nails (this actually causes ingrown toenails, btw). I'd probably go back, but would just specify that I need the full level of service shown on their menu. Overall, my technician took direction well and was friendly, and everything was sanitary, so not a bad experience at all. Also, I chose a dark polish, and it was flawless. read more

Normally I go to Sue and I love, love her! She is very attentive, careful and my nails look the most beautiful I have ever had done. However, I had to go to Lina. She was very distracted and cut my cuticles up with the Dremel. I called her out, where blood had dried and she denied it. I also waited over an hour, when I had an appt because she double booked herself. My nails have polish all over my skin around my nails. I was very patient and didn't say much about it all. I am so so glad that this nail spot opened! When looking for a nail salon, I want clean and bright with a nice row of pedicure chairs - something that's difficult to find in West Seattle.
