Plenty of walkers, runners, bikers, dog walkers, recreational users (frisbees and kites), tailgaters, and drivers today. We stopped to catch a break near the top of the hill at Hogan's Fountain. The water fountains and faucets (to fill up dog bowls) were all operational today in mid-March. Restroom facilities were also open.

All things enclosed and pets or bikes are not allowed. In addition to this there is a massive lawn to play things like soccer or other sports, great paved walking or biking paths and it even goes into the woods where you can play in the creek. There are plenty of great trails here, paved and dirt, and a hand-full of fun geocaches if you download the app. Very amazing park!

The park has something for everyone: basketball courts, a soccer field, baseball field, tennis courts, a playground for children, and my favorite- a 0.7 mile paved walking path with 2 loops. Benches and picnic tables are scattered throughout the park. There is even a 'little library,' a bring one-take one deal. There are restrooms within the park, but they were closed for the season during my visit. The park was very well maintained and I felt totally safe there. I understand that there are frequent events held within the park in the warmer months. Our navigation app took us to the front of the park, so we parked in the police parking lot, assuming the park did not have parking of its own. We later learned that the park has a large parking lot. It is located behind the park, and is accessible from a nearby road. What a great place to relax and unwind, or to bring children to play.

Attended a 80's theme free summer show at this park. More shows are coming up (see picture) that…read morestart at 6:30 pm. The MTV band played multiple sets with 15 minutes breaks in between. People sat on lawn chairs and park benches to enjoy the music. Some people walked the trails as kids rode bikes. There were food trucks and other vendors selling various offering from pizza, burgers, and more. Enjoyed hearing the music and we parked in baseball fields directed by staff. The show played til 10 pm. It was a blast from the past.

Like everything at these parks, the tower is open to the public and free, without any hassles. The water pressure at some of the fountains was a little weak, but overall the presence of free and clean facilities is an asset to anyone in the greater Lousiville area, as so much of Kentucky is either pretty but not open to the public or open but without any manmade improvements.

Like broad run turkey run does offer very cool walking trails and breathtaking views. While they don't have a splash ground or traditional playground like broad run they do have a great area to relax in front of the brown foreman silo. Which is a unique attraction itself as you can climb up there and take in all the views from high above. Like most parks and things to do in the parklands park system you can't really go wrong with whatever you choose to do. Loads of family fun to be had.

There are plenty of spots for fishing but some of them you will need to take a short hike down a gravel road. If you bring a wagon make sure it has bigger wheels but probably best to carry everything to make it easier. There is a fishing dock as well that's pretty big and most definitely is shareable with a few groups. The hiking trail that extends around to the dam is a fun walk since it goes in and out of wooded covering. Makes it great for sunny days as well. The playground is nice and maybe small to moderate size. There are BBQ stands to use and picnic tables. There are bathrooms but not very quick to get to from most parts of the park so keep that in mind. Great place to kayak as well! Great views and since the lake is narrow it makes it feel more like a river to go through. Super fun place! Glad to see them doing more work on it Only criticism is that there is lots of trash and even though it's the patrons fault, the park could do a better job at cleaning it up. Watch your little ones so they don't pick up pokey fish hooks or broken bottles.

Tiny park located off cedar creek road. You pull into a the parking lot and the road way is gated…read moreoff. So you park to the immediate left. The park itself features a small playground, a full court basketball court and lots of soccer fields. If you follow the concrete path near the parking lot towards the patio area and soccer fields you can follow that path around a short trail that eventually takes you through a gravel paved wooded area that runs along side the soccer fields. It leads back out to the road where it circles back to the blocked off road at the entrance. It's a giant circle. But it's a peaceful and easy trail. Overall solid little park and it's pretty close to my home. So I'll come up here and let the girls play on the playground. It's very rarely crowded. Most of the crowd heads to the larger McNeely Lake Park about 3 miles down the road as it has several massive playgrounds. So a lot of time when we don't want to deal with bit crowds I'll make the short trip here and let the girls run wild and blow off energy.

The pavilion is next to the splash pad which makes for convenient seating in the shade. On the day we went there were just a couple families to come and go - so there was plenty of room. We did not need the bathroom but there was one close by. And a coke machine. The pad was smaller than expected and probably for younger ones. (10yr old got bored ) The park is very clean and well kept.
