We decided to try the food at the venue. So glad we did. Our chicken curry sandwich and chicken with Brie and cranberry were delicious!!!! The play Robinhood was fantastic! Loved the story line and acting! I really wanted to take a picture of the actors in the play but that was discouraged so I took pictures of the beautiful venue on the beach! What a lovely evening!

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is one of my favorite annual events! I have been attending each…read moreyear (except for the pandemic year) since 2013 with my husband when we saw "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Each year a different Shakespeare play is presented on the sands of Sand Harbor, a Nevada State Park. Even when the play is a repeat from a prior year, the set, costuming, and cast portray the story in a new way to keep things fresh. The cost has not increased very much over the years which makes it an easy decision to return each year. A vendor sells food and drinks every night. It's not bad food, but I personally don't feel like it's worth the money. As an alternative, you are allowed to bring food and drinks inside. This allows for some cost savings. Most years we will bring our own bottle of wine to save some money. If you forget a wine opener, they sell them in the little gift shop (for a hefty price) Ha! I learned that from personal experience. Helpful hint: Youth tickets are discounted for folks up to age 25! The festival is in a beautiful location. Shakespeare is presented in a casual and easy to enjoy format. All ages can enjoy. The production is quality, and the front of house staff is always very welcoming. Save money and bring your own cold dinner.

The live performances were fun, and I can definitely see this becoming a staple for Reno Events. I didn't expect to pay $20 for entrance which was a bummer as we were going to bring more family and friends but the entry cost was a little too high for bringing kids. There were a nice set of carnival rides, but I was discouraged on buying tickets as we had already $40 to get into the event and wanted to save some of our budget to buy things from vendors. We went on the last day of the event, in the early afternoon and it was nice to see more locals enjoying themselves and it wasn't too crowded which was a plus in our book! My fiancé and I loved that dogs are welcome to join us as some other outdoor events do not allow us to bring our puppy. Overall, the variety of food, atmosphere, and performances were awesome! I only wish the entry price was reduced as I would've brought more people and would've had more money to spend on the vendors. Final verdict... I would definitely come back, but only if the entry prices come down or are removed. If this is your first time attending the event, the $20 is not so bad to see the art installations and see the live performances. I would recommend this for first timers.

It is sponsored by the TMCC Alumni association with the proceeds going to support first generation TMCC students. This was a really nice event and really kept to the theme of local arts and crafts. There are booths with jewelry, pottery, hand crafted glassware, photography, visual arts, health and beauty items as well as wine snobs paraphernalia. There was live music which adds to the festival atmosphere. The items for sale were of nice quality and really ranged in price. I think it would be a great place to buy unique items that are not available at every other street fair around. Not a tie-die t-shirt or funky sunglasses to be found here. This is really a nice quality Arts and Crafts event.

When I first showed up I was quite surprise to see that it looked very similar to the Rib Cookoff, a yearly event that I go to every year! Lots of the streets closed off from traffic for foot walk, with several stands of shops, food, drinks and more! A live band performance, and people everywhere! I got food from one of the stands, Meatballs and Polenta. I got meatballs and garlic bread. The meatballs were really good but the garlic bread got very hard by the time I started to eat it. Pretty fun. Fun little event for sure! Definitely go check it out if you enjoy Italian food whenever you're in the area!

This was our first time attending Freeze Your Pints Off and it was an absolute blast…read more Located at the City Plaza in Downtown Reno, various tents from local only breweries were set up along with a few local food trucks. The weather started off a bit gloomy as a few water drops drizzled from the cloudy, overcast sky. But later on in the day the sun showed its face and warmed up the whole plaza. Something to note; Aside from the VIP and general admission tickets, what I thought was great to have was Designated Driver Tickets. DD Tickets were only $15, which included a meal ticket from any food truck and unlimited non alcoholic beverages. At the same time, this is an event supporting local breweries, but I still thought this was neat option to have. From what I can remember, the breweries that participated in this event were The Brewer's Cabinet, Great Basin Brewing Co., IMBIB, Pigeon Head, 10 Torr, Lead Dog Brewing, and Alibi. I know there were a few more, but I can't seem to remember them all. As for food, there were about three to four food trucks parked around the event. Some highlights were Still Rollin's Double Loaded Mac, which was macaroni and cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, bacon, green onion and ranch in an egg roll topped with Ranch, more bacon, and even more parmesan! Then there was NomniVore's Korean BBQ Pulled Pork, which was more of a southern style BBQ, with pear and ginger kimchi. Service as well as the people attending the event were friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was also a DJ who had a collection of records and provided lively music throughout the event. I personally love to support local, and Freeze Your Pints Off was an event catered to only local businesses here in Reno. And sure, the weather was a bit dreary, but the skies eventually cleared up. Besides, with refreshing beers, delicious food, and entertaining music, what's not to love? Freeze Your Pints Off 2019 was a fun filled event and one that I will sure to be attending in the future!
