When the technician arrived, he tried to charge me an additional $20 for a window tag. I was under the impression that a security system should already include securing both doors and windows. I decided to give them another chance and called the same representative to reschedule. We set a new installation date for September 9, 2025. I even took the day off work to be available, but no one ever showed up. I contacted CPI and spoke with a manager, who assured me I'd receive a call back from a supervisor and the sales rep--but that never happened. This experience was extremely frustrating. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how they treat current ones. I ultimately had to call back just to request a refund for the taxes I had already paid on the equipment. DO NOT go with this company.

I had a faulty system which they could never fix! It constantly went off in the middle of the night having police dispatched to my home on multiple occasions! It got to the point that my grandchildren were afraid to stay overnight! The manager Chris who came multiple times was rude and could never fix the problem! | CANCELED the service and 4 yrs later they reported a huge balance to my credit report ! I moved from the residence two years ago! Please do not use them ! There are multiple companies to choose from! Lived most of our lives in California. We had a random opportunity to move to Virginia so we took a…read moreleap of faith and moved to Danville. In California we lived on a ranch in the middle of no where agricultural country. We never had any need to lock the house or the cars. (This is important later) We had just spent a week towing a trailer from there to here. Finally, got the truck unloaded, started putting the bed together so we could call it a night, when we decided to step outside for a smoke break. Like a normal person, I shut the door behind me. It was 8pm and we enjoyed the cool evening weather while swaying in the rocking chairs on the porch. Husband asks if I shut the door and I reply with a snarky, "of course I did" The look on his face made my heart sink. Yup, you guessed it, ALL the doors and of course windows were solidly locked. While he attempted to find a way in, I cried at what an idiot I was while trying to find a locksmith that would come out so late. My first call was to SSS. He was so kind! He was an hour away, had just settled in for his night off but came back to Danville! He showed up exactly when he said he would and had us in the house in less then 5 minutes. Mark, sold me the system, Brandon was instumental in keeping me satisfied. Once Brandon left, it went downhill.For the past year, My safety has been compromised. I mistakenly tripped my system and no one checked, called or even cared if I was alive. I contacted Secur tek and the Managers explaination was I am on a delayed call? What in God's name is a delayed call? What happened was Secur Tek FORGOT to take my system off of TEST when they changed my smoke detector. Someone dropped the ball and did not want to credit me 6 months of monitoring. I thought I would give them another try, but last evening, I mistakenly tripped the alarm. CRICKETS!!!! No monitoring call, nothing. I contacted the company/left a voice mail, as well as contacted the after hour person. Greg who sounded as if I woke him from his sleep, called me back@ 1150pm. As I explained how no one from monitoring has called,he abruptly told me "When I am okay, call us and we will help you". WOW, and I repeat, WOW! he obviously did not want to be bothered. As of now, I have not heard a word from Secur Tek and the system continues to blink. I am in the process of finding a safe and secur security company for Secur Tek has compromised my safety far too many times. Please take my review as a safety precaution for you and your loved ones. Seek another security company.
