We rented from them for 6 years…read more When we were looking at the place prior to moving in, the unit had old paint, but they told us that it would be repainted. No, they just touched up some very obvious places - that it it. When moving in we discovered broken AC, garbage disposal and a wall damage from water leak in the kitchen. How could they not see those issues before renting a place? Expect maintenance requests to be addressed unwillingly after several weeks or not at all. One example: the wooded siding on our building was getting old and birds got into the walls and I mean - a lot of birds! As you may expect, they made mess and were very noisy especially in the morning. Heritage refused to do anything about it for the remaining 2 that we lived there. I get it, siding is expensive. But for us the worst came at the end. They charged us more than $600 for cleaning after we moved out because supposedly we did not clean that place well enough. In fact, we scrubbed that place thoroughly for many hours. Our only mistake was that we relied on them to be ethical and allowed ourselves not to be present at the move-out inspection. They used that opportunity to cheat us. Hopefully, you get the picture...
