I got the mixed wood and there are good, light pieces that are perfect for starting a fire and then really dense pieces that burn for a while once the fire has been going. I've also noticed other companies sometimes give you wood that hasn't dried out all the way, but this wood is great quality through and through. The wood was good. There was a blend of wood logs. I am not a wood connoisseur but I saw some nice pieces. Some pieces were recommended for slow burning, other pieces were recommended for start up. Finally, some pieces were recommended for barbecue. I will update my review after the carne asada. Even though there was dirt at the bottom, it was not bad. The driver carefully offloaded the wood, making sure not to hit anything or risk hitting anything. The wood delivery was scheduled with a 4 hour window, and was delivered within that time frame. I ordered a cord of wood and was very unhappy I'm not real sure if it was short or not as I did have to stack myself. that was one of their adds to be sure you were happy with the amount you receive. it was not totally seasoned and when I told him about it he tells me to put in house next to my stove...really who does that kind of mess in the house. he was by no means cheap. he never did come by and check on my disappointment. Needless to say I will NOT USE them again. 550.00 a cord to not be able to burn now is unacceptable. he tells people to not give a bad review. Do like you advertise and say when you order so you dont have to receive any bad reviews. Check around before you order from this guy. With all the great reviews I had heard and read about True Cords Firewood, specifically their fast delivery service and their very friendly and excellent customer service, we decided to give them a call and schedule a delivery today. Well when they arrived to deliver our firewood it was nothing like the highly recommended reviews I had read about. From the minute they arrived, there were problems from the get go. He had a problem with where I wanted my wood pile. Our wood shed is stored along the backside of my house with a drive through big enough to drive my semi truck around it and certainly plenty of room to drive his F-350 and trailer around. So instead of following my simple instructions on how to maneuver his truck along side of the house and then back into spot he chose to do it his own way which made it virtually impossible to dump the wood in front of shed. I asked him if he could start over to get closer and he reluctantly did and once again failed again which lined him up even further away from the shed. At that point, without any discussion, his wife who was already out of truck came up to me and said "WE COULD EITHER DUMP IT HERE FOR YOU OR WE COULD LEAVE". I was so blown away at what she had just said to me and looked at her and said "What?" Only to make sure heard her correctly. And before I could even say another word she repeated those same words right back to me, "WE COULD EITHER DUMP IT HERE FOR YOU OR WE COULD LEAVE". I cant believe that this rude woman whom I have never met or even to talked to before give me an ultimatum on a service that I was paying for! So I looked right at her and stated, "Look if he cant back up his truck up to get closer to my shed then GO AHEAD, LEAVE". So instead of not leaving and not listening to me explain how to line his truck up, he tried it his way and failed again. As he sat there pondering his situation, he asked if he could cut through and between my shed and the trees thinking by doing so he might have a chance of lining up his truck to where I wanted him to dump the wood. I said sure and before I could say anything else he ran directly over my ramp/walkway that led to shed to and crushed it almost in half. I couldn't believe he didn't try to go around it, just ran right over it and destroyed it. And to make matters worse he didn't even have the decency or courtesy to apologize for his actions. I literally got nothing from this person, who is suppose to be and act in a professional manner and then allows his wife to try to intimidate me with a ridiculous ultimatum that ended up backfiring and making them look even more foolish. I have lived here for 13 years and never once did I or the many firewood companies ever had a problem unloading the wood where I had asked. So this was definitely a first. But when his wife had the nerve and edacity to give me an ultimatum which only backfired esp. since I was the one holding the $235.00 in my hand. That was unbelievable... until I noticed a 1 STAR REVIEW with an almost identical problem with where he wanted his wood versus where they were going to dump it and then the wife dishing out the same line to him. "HES GOING TO LEAVE IF YOU DONT DECIDE." After experiencing an unbelievable event full of sarcasm, Rude ultimatums, and then ending with unapologetic destruction of property... Is this how TRUE CORD conducts their business with all their customers? I sincerely hope not. But one thing for sure TRUE CORD IS NOT THE PLACE TO GET YOUR WOOD OR ANY OTHER BUSINESSES THEY MIGHT BE A PART OF. So disappointed with this company read more

The company/owner was reachable on a Saturday morning and agreed to deliver a cord of mixed wood that afternoon at a very fair price. There was some confusion(partly my fault) regarding who would stack the wood in our storage room under the cabin as it turns out they were only able to dump the wood outside the cabin that day. However, to their credit, they did arrange for a guy to come over a few hours later for an additional fee and that gentleman did a great job. I received a follow up text and phone call from them making sure we were ultimately happy which we were. True cord is not the place to get wood!!! When someone's spending $300 you should have better customer service. I first called the week of Thanksgiving and they were too busy to deliver. I called them last week and they couldn't get to me until yesterday. They told me between 10-12 but called me at 1 saying they were on their way but by then I had to leave so they rescheduled for the today. When they showed up the today they refused to drop the load in my backyard. The only place he was willing to drop it was in the front of my house so he wouldn't have to maneuver his trailer to my backyard and I would have to hand carry a cord of wood across the yard to where I store it. Without any discussion he got in the truck and his wife tells me that he's going to leave if you don't decide. "What do you mean?
