Needed to get a panel upgrade and an EV charger installed. There's an open space between my panel…read moreand my garage, so I was told by other electricians that I'd have to get someone else to break the concrete because they don't do that. These guys were one of the few that could handle the concrete work, and they also handle all the permit work as well. Staff worked hard, finished everything quickly and made sure the work site was clean as a whistle after they finished. Everyone was really friendly, from the receptionist on the phone, the staff and the people giving me estimates. It's been more than a year since I got my EV charger installed, and I haven't noticed any problems since then. Price-wise, I feel it was pretty fair especially considering how they made everything so convenient. All in all, they did everything well. I'd have no problems recommending them to others, and will likely go back to them when I need other things addressed in the house.

TL:DR Reasonable pricing, relatively quick appointments, and good quality work. The downside was…read morethat their communication wasn't great so there were miscommunications between various people there and I needed to be fairly persistent to make sure we moved things along and I got the work we requested. But all in all, I would use them again for sure - just knowing I might have to follow up from time to time. Longer review: we contacted them to give us a quote for a whole house fan and attic fan. Of the quotes we got, they were very reasonable and they also had appointments available relatively soon. The person who came for the quote wasn't sales-y either which was a plus. I won't go into details of the various hurdles to communicate with them but it just wasn't very smooth. When they came to do the attic fan first, they told me they could only do that because the whole house fan had not arrived yet. Then they installed it and forgot to install a switch which was part of the quote. When they came to do the whole house fan a week later, again they didn't know to install a switch for the attic fan. I also had trouble with the invoice. Ultimately, they had a good price and did good work so I'm satisfied but just couldn't give them 5 stars because the overall experience was a little clunky. That said, I would definitely use them again.

We've done _a lot_ of electrical work at our new home over the past couple months, and Matt has…read morereally taken care of us through the entire process -- I'm very happy to be able to write a great review, now that it's all complete! Summary: Matt really stands by and takes pride in his work, and went to great lengths to make sure that we were happy with the result; there were no shortcuts. He explained everything along the way (very important when working with SCE), and worked with us to understand our needs, and suggested great solutions. His pricing was honest and transparent, and _very fair_. He was a real professional. More details: In terms of scope, we started with a main electrical panel upgrade (100A to 220A). This was a very complicated project as we also needed to upgrade our underground conduit (to 3") to support the thicker cabling, and so involved multiple parties: Matt, SCE, an excavation company, and the city inspectors. Matt first acted as a liaison to SCE (who was difficult to work with) to do diligence and ensure the work was necessary. He then was very accommodating in terms of timelines to make the process go smoothly. Inside the home, we added some new circuits for a home office, upgraded lighting throughout the home, and did a number of low-voltage work on doorbells, charms, security cameras, etc. The home was under renovation in other areas, and Matt was again very accommodating in terms of timelines, and more than patient with us as the renovation evolved and new requests / changes came to light. Again here, Matt went the extra mile to ensure we were really getting what we wanted and were satisfied with the result. As a WFH employee and gamer, I can say I was *very* happy to finally be able to plug my gaming desktop into a new dedicated electrical circuit (his suggestion -- thank you! ) and full cat6a hardwired connection :) To boot, Matt is a genuinely nice person to be around. Thanks for everything, Matt!

Beware of Price Gouging and Poor Quality Installation and Materials!! I recently had Nova Electric,…read moreSergio Garcia do my electrical work at my new home. He upgraded all my lighting, restroom fans, exterior lighting and add outlets throughout the home. His prices were extremely high and I allowed him to do the job as he is licensed and I assumed he would be doing professional work and guarantee his work. As he was doing some of the jobs everything seemed to be going well. His workers were nice and professional. Once he was installing my exterior lighting I was questioning the quality of the fixtures he was putting in. Since I was paying almost $50,000 for the job I assumed everything was top quality, i was wrong. He installed the cheapest lighting, fans, and exterior low voltage lights. Within a couple weeks the lights in my house were going out, the fans were rattling, and the wiring was coming up from exterior planters of which he assured me were going to installed 6"deep. Also he claimed to have the cleanest installation of which I was shocked to see was wrong. When I went to pay him he requested to pay him individually to not pay taxes. When I paid him he didn't provide me with receipts for the work or close out the invoices he originally provided me online. After the install I noticed he was using wire nuts not all weather clamps to install the exterior lighting since the wires were all coming up. Also my new LED can lights he installed started going out. Also the exterior lighting fixtures were falling apart as well. My bathroom fans started to rattle. Also i checked all the exterior wiring was not installed 6" under the ground like he put on his invoice. I tried to ask him to fix these items and provide me with my receipts and he didn't respond to me and has left me high and dry. Per law any licensed contractor has to provide a 1 year guarantee on their work. I called 2 other licensed contractors to provide the same estimates of the work he performed and their prices were 20-30% cheaper than his as well. He also acted as contractor for concrete and had my entry done with wrong finishes and color of which he is only licensed to do electrical not concrete or general contractor. Since he is non responsive, i now have to file a complaint with the licensing board and hire another electrician to fix the work he has done. I would not work with him again and I hope anyone gets second options on price and confirm the materials you use with Sergio Garcia and his company.
