We arrived at 9am to fill out forms…read more At 9:25 while waiting to be taken back after filling out forms they told us her insurance isn't taken here anymore. We have had this appointment scheduled for a month. Her insurance hasn't changed. The office has had her insurance information since she made the appointment. They could have called us at any point prior to 9:25am today and we could seek care elsewhere. The front desk staff are completely incompetent and unprofessional. This is a practice that needs to be absorbed by a bigger hospital organization and ensure competent patient care. We wasted our time and my girlfriend now has delay of care in tending to her active medical issues. Completely unacceptable. Do not go here.

Dr. Shah and her entire staff are absolutely amazing. They care. They understand. They work with you and fight for you, should insurance try to deny needed procedures. Two thumbs up. That Dr. Shah personally reached out to me shows me she really cares . She is an excellent Dr. with a good bedside manner and deserves another chance. I'm now confident future experiences with her staff will be better . I would have given zero stars if possible, Dr. Shah is a fine Dr. but her office is rude, unprofessional and make her practice unworthy of my time. Recently I asked her office to help me fill out paperwork for FMLA, a chronic pain condition I have. Never have encountered such uncaring and unprofessional desk staff. I literally wasted 2 paid sick days and numerous phone calls which no one even bothered to return. I was simply attempting to ascertain if they can assist with filling this paper work out. She could tell that I hadn't been taking care of myself. She pushed me a bit, to get a Mammogram, and then some additional testing. Very early Breast Cancer was discovered. After surgery, I will not need to do chemo or radiation.

She seems liable for malpractice, ranging from patient abandonment on the first visit to…read moregaslighting. I would verify her qualifications given her website promotes all sorts cosmetic services and awards that I can't imagine how she received after seeing how she runs her practice as well as treats new and existing patients. Her staff, ranging from the front desk to the physician assistants, tries their best and is the only saving grace for her practice, which is conveniently located across from Walt Whitman mall. They are friendly, diligent, and do try their best while staying calm, collected, and professional unlike the doctor herself, who seems passive aggressive. Given the poor reviews and experience, I don't recommend her practice unless you want to go through the pain of feeling this distress yourself.

TLDR: Dr. Quraishi is a dick, and his assistant is useless…read more I went to this practice after my MRI showed acute stenosis in the lumbar region of my back. I chose the practice b/c my FIL has been seeing Dr. Waqaas A. Quraishi for ESIs for many years. During our first consultation, he spoke only to my husband while ignoring me. During that visit, I told him there was only one pain med I couldn't take because it made me so ill I couldn't eat, and it made me suicidal. After the first injection, I went to my CVS and found that he had prescribed that exact med. I called the office and was told there is no note about it in the file. He changed it to Gabapentin but was doling them out 14 at a time for me to take at bedtime. After the second injection, I called and left messages for Kathleen, his chirpy assistant who said, " Here's my direct line, call me anytime" for three days in a row. Crickets. On the fourth day, I called the receptionist and told her that if it was not taken care of immediately, I would show up in the waiting room and make a scene. Twenty minutes later, I got a call that it was done. When I found a new pain management doctor yesterday, he immediately diagnosed bursitis in my hip and offered to do the procedure then and there. I asked him about refilling my Gabapentin, he said, "Sure. Three times a day, right?" I was stunned that I could take it during the day as needed.
