(I was present during phones calls where leadership shopped for the lowest priced labor by the square). Before hiring this company, ask whose crews are actually performing the labor portion of the work. Having one high school buddy as a "project manager" to supervise a Home Depot labor crew doesn't make them "in-house" any more than lending them a "1st Class" t-shirt for the day does. From a sales perspective, I am going on 6 months of delays receiving my agreed-upon 1099 commissions for completed and fully funded projects. It's become a revolving cycle of "next week," "next month," "after Christmas," "after this next commercial check comes in," or "when we get back from traveling out of the country." While leadership still seems to have plenty of time for vacations, sales reps with families are over here chasing money they've already earned. Before accepting a sales position, go over every compensation agreement point by point, and ensure the commission verbiage, formula and payment timelines are all documented clearly in writing. They state not having to payout 1099 commission because I was given a company gas card while using my own vehicle to drive to roof inspections, and that I could have used one of their old iPads as justification for withholding pay). What was presented as a "percentage of GROSS revenue" was later recalculated after labor, overhead, and profit were removed from the numbers -- effectively turning it into a "percentage of NET" rather than "GROSS." Unfortunately, I'm not the only independent/ sub contractor on here with bills and a family who's had to deal with severe delays on pay. Like another contractor wrote, I tried the persistent respectful approach for 6 months hoping this could be resolved, and yet here I am with unanswered calls, texts, and voicemails.

I interviewed many roofing companies and decided on Revolution for several reasons. First and foremost, Andrew and his team discovered issues with my roof that other roofing companies had failed to point out. I had a drainage issue with an almost completely flat portion of the roof. Andrew and his team came up with a solution that will prevent pooling and drainage issues in the future. Second, Andrew was quick to respond to questions and gather answers and information necessary for me to make an informed decision. Other companies failed to respond in a timely manner, if at all. Third, Andrew and the team took time to come out and visit the house several times prior to replacement, take pictures, have meetings formulating a plan, and developing a solution for a roof that will last for decades. Once the replacement began, the team started early and worked late, to ensure the process moved quickly. Each night the roof was secured to protect from any possible rain that might occur through the evening. They were in constant contact with me, either by call or text, sharing pictures, to inform me of situations they found as they uncovered the old roof, and offered different solutions for my opinion on how to correct them. As the job came to a close, the team quickly cleaned up all debris. Andrew made a site visit once the crew had left and spent time looking for any nails or materials that may have been missed. My South Tampa 2 story 2700 sq house had a 35 year old brown Spanish barrel tile cement tile roof…read morethat desperately needed to be replaced. So I looked at various options; cement tile replacement was not possible without removing a tree due to having to place a lifting machine in the front yard; a metal roof would rust given my closeness to the water and metal would of course dent whenever it was walked on. Also cement tile roofs absorb moisture easily and crack from being walked on or just from water penetrating the cement and causing it to weaken and crack over time. Also cement tiles, being porous to water, result in surface mold and algae. And cement tiles have a problem called "efflorescence" which is a chemical reaction due to water penetration that causes their color to turn chalky white over time. Our roof had been painted twice at least by previous owners due to the problem with efflorescence and the same was true with our previous house in New Tampa. I really wanted something different. I wanted tiles that would not crack, break, change color, or absorb a drop of water. And that were 180 mph hurricane resistant. OK, I thought I was asking for the moon :) But after a few weeks of studying my options on YouTube, I chose to do a composite Spanish barrel tile roof made of recycled plastic and settled on Brava as they had the best color match and specifications of the various national composite tile manufacturers. Brava gave me a list of local installers they recommended and after getting price quotes, I chose Coppertop roofing. What really sold me on Coppertop was that they had just put a new Brava Spanish barrel roof on a huge university building in St. Pete and the pics were stunning. Brava shipped me samples of every tile they had so that I could find the best match to my existing color scheme. Coppertop worked with me and with the Brava engineering team to choose the components to get the longest lasting roof possible; this involved choosing the features such as "open valleys", stainless steel screws (2 per tile), one O'Hagin vent in front, three 6' Tamco off ridge vents in back, and Polystick TU Plus underlayment. Robert who is the owner of Coppertop roofing returned every call when I had a question or concern and his secretary, Paula, was always polite and helpful in getting any messages through. Ivan, the site foreman, took care of my every concern during the installation. Thanks Ivan! The roof was finished yesterday and the result looks beautiful !!! My wife agrees too. I am very happy that the color of the tile is UV stabilized and will never change it's appearance. The water runs off the roof now as plastic is of course hydrophobic, whereas with the previous cement tiles, water dripped off more slowly since cement is hydrophilic. I give Coppertop the highest endorsement. And I think the Brava tiles are exceptional and will last at least 50 years. Every roofer should learn to put them on. It requires more flashing instead of mortar; the result is less mess when installing because the mortar isn't having to be mixed and thrown between tiles. The technical details of installation require the most experienced team to be your roofer and that roofer is Coppertop. Robert's son Tyler and his wife for the initial quote and helped choosing the best tile color which turned out to be dark brown with black streaks; it looks better and more dramatic than we ever expected with our house having a linen white color. I am so happy that I made the decision to get this repair done now. We're just a few weeks from storm season here in Florida, and the damage around our chimney was extensive. The work extended to actually repairing rotten decking and below that, the actual rafter frames needed to be sistered with new wood to restore it to a secure set of rafters. The men were efficient and workmanlike, breaking only for lunch and one run to the lumberyard to get more wood, and another sheet of steel. Other than that, the Gage had made a good estimate and most of the materials were ready for the work. We are now considering a full roof replacement due to new understanding about the poor quality of the initial roof installation. I recommend A3. I invited them to bid the replacement, although I have not yet heard what the final amount would be.

I've had two other roofers look at the work and they both agree that the shingles were not installed properly and that shingles should never have been installed on a flat roof. I wanted a metal roof but their salesman said it would be very expensive and that his contact wasn't getting back to him for prices, etc. I needed the work to be done before I left to help my elderly father for a couple of months. When I returned, the rain leaked through my roof and damaged the ceiling plus all my bedding down to my brand new mattress. He takes zero responsibility and is asking that I pay him when we haven't come to any agreement on the issue! I feel like he's trying to intimidate me since I'm a single older woman. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But his business ethics are totally sketchy. Do not use this company for anything!

There was a rafter repair that he didn't like how it was done, so instead of just leaving it like a LOT of contractors would, he came back and made SURE it was done right at no additional cost to me.
