I stopped by Madewell and the gals at the denim bar there helped me tremendously. Not only did they swap sizes and make sizing suggestions, but they played temporary therapist while I asked "does this look weird?" Over and over again. Scoop is that hot blonde babe in a sea of gray that not only catches your eye, but want to touch and either be her or be with her..... chocolate topping optional. The store carries all the high-end trendy awesome sauce that is NY and LA. Boston really needed a change of tune, and it all starts with Scoop. Service is wonder-great. Each associate (and they're all gorgeous!) has his/her own unique take on looks and taste, which come in extremely handy when you're trying to figure out what to wear for a specific person, mood, or occasion. Make sure you look for Bonnie, the head honcho manager, who, for those eligible bachelors that have no mother or clingy issues, happens to be one of Boston's most eligible bachelorettes (as rated by one of our local magazines....... true story). First off the sales person Jen who took my information gives you a cell phone number to communicate through to give you updates. She barely replied when I asked for status. She also under delivered on her promise. I was told the bags would be looked at within 2 weeks to diagnose what needs to be repaired. After having my bags for 2 weeks and hearing nothing, and not responding to me, she finally replied after repeated texts. She told me the person who looks at the bags was out for 2 weeks. And it would be another 2 weeks before they could get back to me. When they were finally looked at, no one called me to tell me that. I also repeatedly tried to call customer service. The store has no phone. Customer service only emails them when you call in. And tries to get them to call you. After i repeatedly did this, and started to drive there, they called me. To which i didn't answer as i was already 1 hour into my Friday afternoon drive into Boston. I spoke to who i assume was the store manager. He was awful. Had a terrible attitude. Zero apologies after i explained my treatment. I was at their mercy to get my Bags repaired. I paid for the repairs and they were sent off. The wouldn't even pay for my copley mall parking. When they were finally ready a month later i picked them up. This time still no one offered to pay for my parking. And the sales associate made a joke about buying another bag. This store is the reason people now purchase online. I will never give my commission to any sales people that work in that store! I tried to report it to HQ in NJ, and they sent some admin to call me back, who also had an attitude. It's amazing that they treat people that way and get away with it. I hope it closes in Copley and they all end up working at TJMAXX.

Therapy is a small and rather cutesy boutique, but I could not help but feel most of the items were something you'd find at H&M on a good day (You know, when they aren't peddling that terrible 80's hooker look they've been peddling for far too long). The style here is predominantly hipster meets vintage meets eurotrash. However, there are definitely some very cute unique items tucked in different places. I can't help feeling if this place is to survive it better find a more unique fashion niche. Prices are average boutique prices ($80-140 for most items). Ladies: Expect to be trying things on more than usual, as some designers use non-standard sizes (like women's clothes have anything near sizing standards to begin with!), the owner informed me that she is eager to serve women of all body types. Boys: There's not much shelf space here for boys and for the most part what's out is a bit boorish for my tastes with a handful of very generic clubbing shirts. I missed it my first time through but this store carries some lovely Tom Baker items for men, including suits. For those of you who don't know Tom Baker, his suits were featured prominently in Casino Royale by James Bond himself and are some of the sexiest and best designed suits in the market. They are also criminally hard to find in this country and up until now I thought unavailable in Boston. The owner describes the process as semi-custom, wherein you choose your style, fabric, then get the suit fitted and professionally tailored to you when it arrives. The whole shebang costs under $700, which given the quality of these suits, the all-inclusive service, and the horrific exchange rate is an incredible bargain! This is a suit that will last you for life and be timelessly hawt. To match your top-notch suit there is a small hidden cache of fashionable ties. While a small collection, if I had the money I would have bought them all as they were suberb specimens. The owner is also a Yelper so you know she's good people!
