The first red flag was that he quoted me $150 for a service call, and then charged me $155. I initially dismissed it as negligible and moved on. He then proceeded to quote me $110 per suspension rod, and including the service call and labor said it would be $680. He recommended I either go for the repair, or just buy a new washing machine. I was about to pay the $680, when I luckily called my partner, and she said we should think it over. I did some research on my own, and found out that not only is suspension rod replacement extremely easy to do on your own, but Samsung's suspension rods go for $50 a pop, not $110. You can get 3rd party ones for even cheaper. I got four for $36. I did it on my own in 45 minutes. In conclusion, Mason at Hedlund gave me unthinkably egregious quotes for a simple repair. Very negative experience with Mason and this company.

Did nothing but look at error code that I had given him. Several days later women called and said repair would be $395 dollars. When technition came to make repair he said that it was caulked in and he didn't do caulk and then tried to manhandle unit out without cutting caulk. Told me units aren't normally caulked in but having been a builder for 43 years I knew this was a false statement. Being he did not have proper tool I then got knife and cut caulk. When repair was finished without cleaning up after himself he demanded another $395 without $130 service call credit as originally agreed. The whole experience was highly unprofessional and to me seemed very unethical.

It was easily found on the internet but who wants to wait a week or more to see if you get the right part? We called around and the places we called referred us to Glenwood Appliance. So off we go.... I happened to bring the broken pump with me, I walked in and was greeted by a smiling young lady who asked what she could do for me. All I did was raise the pump and say I need a new one of these.. before I could tell her what it was, she said I have those over here.... Holy smokes, you kidding me?! I really like it when employees know their stuff! She brought out a small box, cut it open and BINGO! The exact make and model with the same part number even. This small shop had a factory part for a 5 year old front load washer, man what a relief! My machine broke down last night, tonight it will be back in action! The people here are knowledgeable and resourceful as she let me know that the next time I need anything, i should also bring the make and model info, just in case they can cross reference it with a part from another brand!
