I contacted Pacific to do a refrigerator repair. While coordinating the appointment I inquired if they repaired dishwashers as well. I recently had a repairman out for an ongoing dishwasher issue that they were not able to resolve; they actually recommended just buying a new dishwasher! The Pacific tech said he'd be glad to look at the dishwasher during the same service call. Pacific tech came out the next week, within 15 minutes had diagnosed the problem with both appliances and had parts to do an instant repair on the fridge and ordered the dishwasher part. Long story short...Pacific tech had both appliances repaired within a couple of weeks (once the parts came in) for less money and time than it took the first repairman I contacted that couldn't even diagnose the dishwasher problem. This was a Nightmare experience with Pacific appliance repair. The owner of this company is not legit he's a bait and switch artist. I used him once before, he was a little pricy but he did what he said he would and seemed very personable and earned my trust. It seems personable and gullible rhyme don't they, this guy ripped me off real bad! He quotes his service call price which he said would cover the first hour. He then shows up at my house and try's to open my front door unannounced! This fool had a Glock G45 pointed at his head for a good 20 to 30 seconds until I could identify the person who just tried to break into my house. I'm disabled and and elderly but I do not suffer fools and am well and legally armed. ! I've considered that he may have a drug problem which would explain the reckless behavior and all the lies he told. Two screws and a multi meter on 3 terminals later he says I need a new element. This took him about 5 minutes. There was no contract, nothing to sign as an estimate. I made the mistake of trusting him. BIG MISTAKE! He flashes a full size invoice on his cell phone in the palm of his hand, no one could see this invoice not even if your vision was 20/20 it's far too small. If he wanted me to see it he would have enlarged it with a pinch zoom. I made the HUGE mistake of giving him my card which he ran through his phone. I asked for a receipt, he said he didn't have a printer but he would email a receipt which to this day has never come. My email address is my first and last name at, no mistaking my email address there and I received an invoice from the previous encounter. As I said I trusted this guy, BIG MISTAKE! Because you have nothing tangible in writing to protect yourself and you are in fact screwed unless you take him to small claims. He now has your money and he's long gone. I checked my bank account after work and this thief charged me $165 dollars. I have nothing fixed and I'm into him for $165 because he says the part is not available local. He says this after quoting $75 for the visit and part. He said he will have to order it and come back later. This is the second bait and switch. My son had found the element here locally that evening within just a few minutes. After a little research we found that the part is very common. I call him up right after work leave him a message asking him to call me back. He doesn't call me until the next day late morning and proceeds to tell me the service call is $85 dollars because he had to raise it for covid and inflation (FYI he charged me $95, still lying) but he just quoted me the day before! He try's to pass off the part as very rare and hard to get yet multiple ovens use this element, it a very common Kenmore part. Now he wants another $60 dollars to come back. At that point I am literally paying him $12 bucks a minute if you take into consideration for what the part actually costs from the manufacturer direct. How greedy is that? A service call covers the first hour. He could have easily picked up the part by just asking me what the model number was. Every other appliance repair person has asked me the model number in the past. I now realize that was the first red flag. He lied about the service call amount He lied about the part being rare He lied about the part needing to be ordered He lied about the charge for the part You know how you know if this guy is lying, his mouth is moving! This is the old bait and switch pure and simple. With nothing in writing and the fact he now has my card number he can say and charge anything he wants. I had to report the fraud to my bank and am waiting for a new card to arrive just because this guy is a greedy and immoral. If you use this charlatan after reading this review you will regret it, be WARNED! read more

Evan and his apprentice arrived on time and solved the washer problem efficiently, with no need for parts. Nasty green stuff building up in the front gasket was slowing the door drainage. They cleaned it out as best they could, and gave me a couple of Active brand Washing Machine Cleaner tablets. I used them both, running the Clean Tub cycle twice. I got some more from Amazon and will use one with that cycle every couple weeks. Evan also suggested using a cup of vinegar with every wash. A gallon jug of vinegar at WinCo costs three something. It looks like I won't have that problem again. The cost of the service visit was reasonable, and in the middle of the estimate range they provided. read more
