They're always very friendly and helpful, when I needed help with my daughter's science project, when I need little parts for irrigation, they seem to always be able to help out when the other local hardware store can't or is generally too busy to be available. Used to shop here. The guys who work here were kind and helpful to me and it's right down the street. However, after writing an honest, negative Yelp review about Jon Carroll (Complete Home Repair & Construction), the owner of this True Value store explicitly showed me--twice--that she preferred I shop elsewhere. (My encounter with Mr. Carroll happened at this hardware store.) I didn't know it at the time, but it was a blessing in disguise. Real professionals aren't hostile to customers who are honest about shady business practices in the community. Professionals who care about their community appreciate open, honest dialogue about good (and bad) business practices. I now shop exclusively at IV Building & Feed. A little further away, but much better service, selection, and qualified professionals to help. Today I went into Tru Value hardware store in Cave Junction Oregon for a few items. There was a sign on the door that said masks were required. I am 77, have asthma and always wear a mask into stores. I was surprised to see that both cashiers, and older man and a younger man, NOT wearing masks. When I asked the older man, curly white hair, ) (didn't get his name) why he was not wearing a mask, he proceeded to turn his body so I could clearly see his holster and gun, saying...,,I carry! I was dumbfounded?! What the hell did that have to do with my question? Then he said he has asthma and can't wear a mask. I told him I have asthma and while it's not fun to wear one, I can still breath in it and it's mandatory now. I also asked why the other cashier wasn't wearing one, and he said sarcastically, ' I don't speak for him!' I told him I was not doing business there again, and I will pass my experience onto others in the community. read more

Normal overpricing in this type of store is expected but it was dirty and in disarray no public bathrooms to use no good selection of hardware won't shop there ever again. read more

They can order any hardware product you need. Family Business serving the Valley for over 30 years. They don't push their personal philosophies or religion on you.
