True Care Office Building in San Marcos, CA.
    Frances D.

This review is on my real experience with a Mammogram Examination I had last Friday on May 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. This is an updated review when I had called two different employees who work for this True Care Office at the San Marcos, CA location. These people are Katie the Women's Health Manager and also Evette who works in the Scheduling and Administration Office at the True Care Office in San Marcos, CA. I called and spoke to Katie who is the manager who works for the Women's Health Department at this True Care Facility. I received an email response back from my (2 star review) on my first review on this True Care Facility that I had written on Friday, May 19, 2023 on this Yelp website. But it was removed because I used the word a woman's chest. There isn't anything graphic in this wording. I have to explain what happened to me that date and I have to tell the truth. Anyway, I called the Women's Health Care Center phone number which was on Tuesday on May 23, 2023 at 9 a. m. I explained to Katie their manager at True Care that Maria this Alinea Imaging Center Technician she made me endure too much pain when she gave me this FREE Mammogram Exam that was on last Friday, May 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. I also told Katie that Maria was very cold and uncaring to this awful pain I had to deal with during this whole time Maria gave me his Mammogram Exam. Katie told me that Maria was very unprofessional in her behavior to me and Maria should not make these True Care Women patients go through this horrible painful feeling every day. This FREE Mammogram Exam was conducted at this Alinea Imaging Mobile Van. Katie this manager of True Care said that Maria does not work for their True Care Facility. Maria is a third party vendor. It was useful information for me to know. I told Katie I want the phone number of Maria's supervisor to complain about Maria's mistreatment of me their True Care Patient. Katie said sure and she gave me the direct phone number to the Alinea Imaging Center located in Pomona, CA. Katie also apologized for Maria's unprofessional behavior towards me. I accepted Katie's apology. Katie talked to me for (30 minutes) on the phone last Tuesday on May 23, 2023. Katie also said to me in 2 years later, this Alinea Imaging Center is going to have a new Mammogram Machine it is a 3-D Technology Machine that will NOT hurt at all when this test is given to their True Care Women Patients. I told Katie this is great news for me to hear. Katie was very caring and understanding to my issue I had with Maria's unprofessional behavior to me that day. Then Katie gave me Evette's phone number and told me to give Evette a phone call and talk to her afterwards. I said thank you Katie and then I ended my cell phone call. Then I called Evette's phone number at an off site facility at the True Care location in San Marcos, CA. I told Evette my bad experience I had with Maria from Alinea Imaging Center in giving me the Mammogram Exam last Friday, May 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. Evette said she is really sorry to hear that I had a bad experience. Not one woman patient from this True Care in Oceanside or this San Marcos, CA location should have to experience this horrible pain like I did last Friday on May 19, 2023. Katie their True Care Manager told me this Mammogram Exam is very uncomfortable and it does hurt and it is also very painful because Maria this technician wants to get a really (accurate reading) on this Mammogram Test so she tightens the machine plates really HARD and she doesn't care if women are in a lot of pain. I will not take this Mammogram Exam next year. I will just do a self-examination in the comfort of my own home. It isn't worth the pain that I will have to experience next year. I don't care if this Mammogram Exam is FREE. I learned that receiving something for FREE is not always a good thing. You basically get what you pay for. I had a really bad experience when I had taken my FREE Mammogram Examination from Maria this Imaging Technician who gave me this test it had taken (30 minutes) for her to complete this Mammogram Exam on me. It was very painful pressure to my upper part of my body and I felt like I was going to faint because I was in so much pain I couldn't stand the pressure that was applied to my upper part of my body from Maria this Imaging Technician. Maria needs more professional training in the way she operates this Mammogram Machine and Maria should have prepared me for this Mammogram Exam by telling me ahead of time that I will feel very uncomfortable and I will also be experiencing a lot of pain during this Mammogram Test. Next year, I will Not take this FREE Mammogram Exam because it was too painful for my body to endure. Also my Mammogram Tests are always a Negative Reading. I have never had a Positive Reading in these several years that I have taken this Mammogram Test. I will be fine.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I normally go to the Mesa Drive location. I was given a paper that I was told that I could call a nurse 24/7 for advice if I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to go directly to the emergency room. Well, since I didn't have the direct 24/7 line (I called the number at 6:02 pm on a Sunday) which is the same number as the Mesa dr location, and I was able to speak to somebody during the closed hours. But Boy did I get the cold shoulder. I explained that I had a fever and I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I have chills. I'm having a hard time breathing, the guy on the phone was the most uncaring person I have ever dealt with at truecare. I originally told him I could not get up to find the paper with the emergency number because of how bad I was feeling, and that I was sorry I called the wrong location (literally the numbers are the same!! I didn't have any Other way to connect to Mesa location) and that I'll try and find the strength to get up and find the paper. This man literally said OK and hung up. It's my fault for not asking for the number directly but any person with some compassion would think, let me help this person connect over the phone to where they need to be. Sir, I hope the day you need some help that someone treats you well and it opens your eyes to be a little more kind. Update: after a bit over an hour I was able to get up and grab the paper with the emergency number, this number is directly under the number I called, this man could have easily transferred me, he knew what I needed. He should not be working at a women's health center treating women like this.

Notification saying a Rx refill was denied. A doc at TrueCare arbitrarily decided to stop prescribing it w/o consulting the patient first.

I was wondering at first and thinking how small is this area for parking to be a big of a problem. We came an hour early just to scout the place. They were not kidding. It's a big structure with lots of parking space but also full parking lot. Just like where I work.. it took us 20 minutes to find a parking space and was lucky to have it near the building where my appointment is. Reception wise, same as other Kaiser Permanente clinic or hospital I went to. In about less than 10 minutes, they called for my name and there's Ms Anna Lee and Mr Andrew receiving me warmly by the door. They brought me to my space and let me change into patient gown and Ms Anna Lee walked me through the procedure, Mr Andrew started my IV and I am very appreciative of him granting my request without questions. From there I already felt at ease and most of the questions in my head regarding the procedure were already explained. Few minutes passed and Mr Jonathan came in greeted me and introduced himself and took me to the procedure/sedation room. He also walked me through the things that will be done in that room. Mr. Cesar and Ms Kara were there as part of the team. Moments later, Dr Masters came in and explained to me what will transpire and ask me if I have questions. Procedure was done and all went well. I really appreciate being assigned to this team. They have exceeded my expectations. I was at ease and I have no doubts or questions during my visit. This is the quality of service I would like to have and also what I try to give to our patients as a healthcare personnel. Thank you so much to the whole team. Keep up the good work. :)

The parking situation has become very challenging since the hospital opened and there is often a bottleneck in and out of the free valet parking but that's just an annoyance. I have become increasingly frustrated by the time it takes to schedule elective appointments however. I was told I needed cataract surgery in June 2025. I didn't get a pre op appointment until 1/8/26. Recently I developed an issue with my scalp and wanted to see a different dermatologist than I'd seen in the past. His first appointment at that time (6/8/26) was at the end of September. I called the appointment line that day and made my request. I was told that there were no appointments available and they'd get back to me. When I followed through I was told I was on a priority list and they'd get back to me, which hasn't happened yet. I question whether any other HMO is better. I think they're great if you only need maintenance but, as you age, they don't have the invested resources to take care of my only growing needs.

She came into my postpartum room extremely rude and hostile, didn't even smile, didn't even congratulate me. She was very condescending and seemed to want to make me feel intimidated based on her job title, once I even found out what her job title was after our altercation... She demanded to me rudely to turn my TV off because I kept asking her to repeat herself, even after my infant was crying over her and I couldn't hear her, I wasn't even aware she was the social worker because she did not state that, she must have used another term but I was unaware she was the social worker when she introduced herself and her job title to me, not once did she say "social worker". After she left I asked the nurse when the social worker would arrive and they told me that she was the social worker. Her name was Ganell? Or Janelle? I felt like she made decisions based off her own personal dissatisfaction and judgment toward me, and was extremely unprofessional and power driven, keeping me at the hospital and preventing me from being discharged as some form of personal punishment for not taking her attitude very well. I even overheard that based on her judgement; that I might have to stay until Monday, and the stress has been killing me, for reasons she kept me, she didn't even inquire about, or even ask me to explain anything regarding her own concerns. I came in Wednesday at 6cm dilated in active labor around 3am and have another child waiting for me at home. I've been here basically 3 days and counting and I feel like I am in a postpartum prison. I don't understand why they cannot continue investigating my case at home and let me go home. Even a lot of other staff members and nurses are confused that I am having to stay so long and were surprised that I was no longer able to discharge based off Miss Janell's orders and "discomfort" of me.

Before I came to this facility, the nurse liaison, Sarah, sold me on this place. What a phenomenal salesman. She knew I was eager to get Good physical therapy. I've been diagnosed as a partial quadriplegic. I've held the deep belief that I could improve if I could get the right physical therapy. She convinced me that would be the case here; I would receive the best physical therapy, with the best facilities, with the best trainers. I'm on my seventh week without physical therapy. Why? The same Sarah is also somehow the one responsible for getting my letter of agreement to the insurance company. For seven weeks she simply hasn't done this. Why would she? I'm not a person after all, I am an insurance payment. If you happen to run into Sarah, she is a great spinner of stories; none of the stories are true. I was getting RNA until they head-trainer Frank, canceled the program. In a phone conversation with him I tried to explain that I thought there was a miscommunication in regards to the cancellation. He repeatedly talked over me. Not letting me get a word in He repeatedly said, "I don't care what you have to say, I canceled the program." Frank's favorite things to do are moping around and watching TV (not training patients). Recently after coming back from PT I had a new roommate. The roommate I recognized from a previous facility. He assaulted numerous employees: kicking, punching, even throwing his own feces. He is not sane. Imagine the shocking horror I experienced when walking into my own room and finding him feet from my bed separated by a small curtain. It took less than an hour before he threatened me telling me he would **** me up. k*ll me. These aren't empty threats. He has further assaulted at least two employees here. A nurse heard this and he was moved to the room next to mine. We now share a bathroom and a door that links our rooms together. So he can now walk into my room and carry out his threats whenever he's so decides. Imagine the fear and anxiety that are my constant companions in this godforsaken facility. This man can walk, i am partial quadriplegic. I am not safe here. It's hot on my side of the facility because they keep the windows open to outside. Why? Because the stench of urine and defecation is so strong and overpowering coming from this patient Room that the windows have to be open to mitigate the smell. He urinates and defecates in his bed. He refuses to be washed or cleaned -and with the threat of assault who would want to clean him anyways. The administration regularly has 5 CNA's on the floor for 74 beds. That is 14.8 patients per CNA. That is budgeting patient-care out of the building. "They got it", says Jay the administrator when made aware of this predicament. No Jay, they don't. Jay is the third administrator in the year-plus I've been here. Patient- care (or a lack there of) is at an all-time low. The collective morale contained within this facility is at an all-time low. Experienced employees are being fired or leaving and being replaced by 22-year-olds with zero experience (why pay an experienced CNA when you can hire a one with no experience for much cheaper). One of these was put on the floor without finishing orientation in a section he had never had. The incompetence and carelessness of this administration is concerning, it's frightening. My quality of life in this facility is one of constant anxiety, sleepless nights, and complete the dehumanization. I can go on and on with the truth about this place. About how, for instance, I was pushed out of bed by a CNA who said I fell out of bed because of my "bad attitude" (does that mean she did it on purpose?). A new administrator who didn't introduce himself (Jay)came in my room and told me he wanted me to "feel safe" (not to be safe). The fact is: I'm not safe. Like a street preacher proselytizing, here I am trying to keep one person out of hell. Will I be further punished and denied physical therapy because I write this. I very well may be. So be it. If you read this, believe me: to lie in a bed here is to forgo your humanity. Don't come here.

Nobody coming in to check in or even the courtesy of letting me know that it would be a few more minutes (shoit even at some low end restaurants a waitress would come by to notify the customer of any delay) Funny enough with this whole lindsey Clancy thing going around is a perfect example of a fail system , now for all I know I can be spreading diseases and causing harm to my body because of a lack of professional communication. Please learn to be courteous and respectful to your patient. Thank you .

I had my doctors appointment today. Because my primary…read moredoctor was not in yesterday. I saw my great froend Marlene. I like this spot, for Dr. Mallow is my primary doctor.

My experience with Graybill keeps getting worse…read more More than a week ago, I tried to schedule an appointment with my regular primary care physician, whom I've seen for nearly eight years. I was told he had no appointments available until June, so I was scheduled with a PA I had never seen before. On the day of the appointment, I arrived five minutes late because of traffic. The receptionist was immediately rude and said, "You're late." I apologized and explained that I was stuck in traffic. She replied, "Well, they're very strict," and told me to sit down. Two minutes later, she told me the provider wanted to reschedule. I declined and said I would be filing a grievance instead. After I left, someone else from Graybill called me. She was also rude and unapologetic. While I was speaking with her, I had Sharp Health Plan on the other line and merged the calls. When the grievance manager asked whether the office has a grace period for late patients and whether patients are told about each doctor's preferences in advance, she said that policies vary by doctor: some will not see a patient if they are one minute late, some will see a patient if they are 15 minutes late, and some will even see a patient if they are two hours late. She then claimed that patients are always told these policies and are also told to arrive 15 minutes early. That was not true in my case. I never received any reminder or notice telling me I needed to arrive 15 minutes early. I still need medical care and am now left trying to figure out whether I need to find a new primary care provider. What makes this even more frustrating is that Pamela responded to my previous review and told me to call, but she gave me the wrong number. I later got the correct number from my primary care physician's office manager, called it, left voicemails, and never received a return call. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone looking for a new medical group to think twice before choosing Graybill. They strive to provide the worst in patient care quality.
