I ordered $1700 of accessories, to be installed by the dealer. I asked for a stereo system for the batwing fairing. I explained that I do not need an iPod dock as I do not like ipods, but all I really need is FM Stereo. I was sold a Hog Tunes unit for over $500 that I was told would have the stereo built in to the back of the speaker unit and has a control box that sits on my handle bars. I was told that this unit was "self contained" When I picked up the bike (a full day after when it was promised, I found there is no FM stereo in the HogTunes unit, and that without adding an iPod or my phone (I do not trust my $600 Galaxy S4 to the 50 cent Velcro on the cheap plastic "control box") it does not produce any audio from this "self contained" unit. I attempted to speak to Hank, the installer about this and he told me "Well, that's what it is, so if you don't like it, I guess that is where we are" and then walked out of the shop away from me and went behind the building somewhere. Simon, my sales guy came out to talk to me and while we were trying to decide what to do about this Hank walked by and told us that it is time to close and he wants to leave for the weekend. I understand that mistakes are made, but it is how we address them that makes the difference. I was furious at how I was treated by Hank and how he dismissed me. It was clear that I was an inconvenience to him. I no longer trust him to install the saddlebags and sissy bar that he has backordered. I will NEVER use this place for service again. As an American Legion Rider and the web admin for 8 local ALR sites, I will make sure my experience is shared. I find it ridiculous that I paid over $500 for a 50 watt speaker that I can get online for less than $300. I can barely hear it at 60mph. I was also told that the batwing that was ordered would include the mounting hardware and the "inner shell" and would have the finished look like they do on the Vaquero or the Nomad. It did not. It only had the outer shell, leaving the inside without a dashboard. The badwing was not adjusted securely. The 4 bolts that provide adjustment were loose and I had to pull over on the side of the road to tighten them with an allen wrench to keep the batwing from knocking around as I went down the road. The installer did not offer to adjust anything or go over the operation of anything when I picked up the bike.

JJ came over and asked if he could help. Explained my interest in bikes, how many I've owned etc. and probably bored him to tears; however he hung in there with me knowing he was probably not going to make a quick sale. We shook hands and parted OK. Before leaving I asked another (older) employee directions. He happened to be the owner with another interest, craft beer. We hit it off immediately, chatted for quite awhile over many topics, and I left with a positive feeling of my visit. Also found a 2016 bike for a good price which I'll discuss with them again.

On October 8, 2024, I brought my UForce 1000cc to Biker's Edge in Wichita, Kansas, for dash repairs…read morethat I was explicitly told would be covered under warranty (by Logan). But instead of doing the right thing and waiting for authorization from the warranty department, they jumped ahead and did the work without approval from them or myself. Now, I'm stuck with a $260 bill because the warranty department refused to cover it. Why? Because there was only a loose nut behind the dash, and no parts were broken. So now I'm out $260 for a loose nut. This entire situation is beyond frustrating. I made it crystal clear that this needed to be covered under warranty or call me to get my approval after they had a cost for me, but they chose to do the work anyway, without confirmation--and then expected me to pay for it. And as if that wasn't enough, it took them two days to even find my warranty in the first place. This is an absolutely ridiculous way to run a business. When you take a vehicle to a dealership, they at least have the decency to check out the problem, call the warranty department, and let you know what's covered before they touch anything. But not Biker's Edge. They just do the work and stick you with the bill no matter what. It's a joke. Customers should be able to trust that warranty repairs will be handled properly, but after this, I've lost all faith in their service department. And here's the kicker--when I went to pick up my vehicle, they told me the warranty claim was denied because the warranty department wouldn't cover it. I called the warranty department myself and found out the real reason: Biker's Edge labeled the issue as an "adjustment." If they had simply told the truth--that the gear shifter was getting stuck in the steering wheel--they would have covered it as a safety issue, no problem. That was the warranty department's exact words. This isn't even about the $260 anymore. It's about the dishonest and shady business practices at Biker's Edge. From what I was told by the warranty department, they make more money when they bill the customer instead of going through the warranty process. I will never set foot in this place again. I'll happily drive an hour to another service department that actually values their customers and doesn't screw them over. Avoid Biker's Edge at all costs unless you want to get burned like I did.

Arrived after a 4+ hour drive and it was shined up, fully fueled and ready to go. Purchase process was easy and the price was what they said it was going to be. These bikes are going for several thousand over MSRP due to demand, and they had a very small dealer fee tacked onto the MSRP and that was it. I picked the bike up and within minutes my girlfriend noticed it was much louder than normal. We stopped and discovered the exhaust mid-pipe, clamp, and springs were missing. The slip-on muffler was only being held on by the rear mounting bracket. I immediately contacted the dealership and was told they had photos showing the bike arrived with the mid-pipe installed. My girlfriend and I retraced our entire route from the dealership but never found the missing parts. The response from the service department was simply that the technician "wouldn't have had a reason to touch it." There were no photos taken after the service was completed, and I was told the camera covering the service area was not working. When I asked what they were willing to do to make the situation right, the response I received was, "Make what right?" I then spoke with the General Manager, hoping for a fresh set of eyes. Unfortunately, the conversation was disappointing. He had already made up his mind before hearing my side, repeatedly talked over me, argued with me, and ultimately refused to consider any resolution. I'm not accusing anyone of intentionally taking my parts. I'm simply stating the facts: the dealership's own intake photos show my motorcycle arrived with a complete exhaust system, and it left missing the mid-pipe, clamp, and springs. Instead of investigating or trying to work with a customer who purchased the motorcycle from them, the dealership became defensive and dismissed my concerns. Mistakes can happen. What separates a good dealership from a bad one is how they handle them. Unfortunately, my experience left me with very little confidence in this service department, and I won't be returning.
