UPDATE: Reached out to TruGreen as requested in their reply to my review. Crickets...no response. Just want to make sure their reply does not soften or temper the content of my original review. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Had TruGreen from this location service my lawn for many years. Recently got a dog and asked them to only treat our front yard. They assured me up and down this would happen but then proceeded to treat the front and back. Realized I couldn't count on them so I canceled the service and will fertilize myself. Several weeks later they accidentally treated my lawn AGAIN even though I am no longer a customer. Called twice to discuss this and they have not returned my calls. This is the worst company ever. Buyer beware. They sent me to collections for 44.95 that I paid in July. I also called and paid again but they didn't run it. I fed up with them never closing the gate to my yard which would allow the dog to get out if I don't catch it or I am away and the dog sitter doesn't catch it. I have asked them repeatedly to ensure their technicians close the gate(it has a sign posted on it to do so) but it seems it's impossible for them to achieve this simple courteous action. They haven't called me back as promised or refunded me for damaged landscaping either as they promised. read more

Update: Here we are a year later and they're trying to bill me for the reseeding and aeration that I disputed on my charge card. TruGreen was given 90 days to contest my dispute and they did not do so. Now, they're billing me for it even though they legally waived their rights to that money by not contesting my dispute. I've tried calling multiple times, requesting to speak to the general manager. I was told he would call back within 24 to 48 business hours and he has not done so. I contacted my credit card. They gave me forms to fill out to send to MasterCard informing MasterCard that they're trying to bill me for a resolved dispute. MasterCard I guess is going to deal with TruGreen now. If I could give zero stars at this point I would because of the lack of customer service. read more

I wish I could give less than a star. This is my first year with Trugreen. Every time they have come out, something was not done properly. I have to call customer care each time. They work remotely, so I can only talk to a national person, they will not send me to this store that provides the "service". They can only put in a request for a supervisor to call me in 24-48 hours - Tried this many times - never get a call. Once again, they came out to do the service and only 1/2 was done. I cannot talk to a person that knows how applications are made, only have a request put in for a supervisor to call me. I should be able to talk to the local office - Trugreen's business model is horrible. No customer service. read more

This company should be charged with fraud. Have NEVER dealt with people like this. First, they put down a phony date/slip they were here when they never showed. They also charged us for two visits on the same day because we asked if they could put down grub control and that wasn't on what they were originally going to do. Our lawn - or what's left of it - is chemically burnt. No grass/weeds/nothing will grow in huge swaths. We have ground moles on the property - let's face it, moles do not come on property unless there is a food source - grubs. Now, we have more than ever before. Calling to cancel their service is a complete joke; prepare yourself for the run-around with operators you can barely hear answering in India, Japan, and anywhere else they could avoid U.S. employees. NO local number to your local office to actually SPEAK to someone - forget that. I would NEVER, EVER go back to this company for anything. We now have thousands of dollars in damage to our property for no reason other than techs not knowing what they are doing. And we're left to pick up this cost. If you've never heeded a review before, trust me - AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. read more

We had mosquito repellent spray work done. They said to let them know if there were any mosquitoes. Tons of mosquitoes around and when we called them, they sent a guy who just came in, left a card on the front door. Little did he know we were outside and knew n service was done. When we called them they said he was asked to turn around and call us back but NO! The guy did not bother to turn around or call back. VERY DISAPPOINTING read more

Trugreen continuing charged my credit card with unnecessary applications after One year contract ends with them. They never notify you when they doing this. When I call in, their customer service lady was very rude and refused to refund my money. If you have to use them to treat your lawn, be very careful to read the contract and ask them to write down the contract termination time to avoid any over charge to your card. read more

TERRIBLE We wanted one application of weed killer on the lawn of a home we were selling. Operator tried to up sell a package that was 5x HIGHER than the advertised price, charged my credit card for $300 instead of $30. Claimed I had agreed to higher priced package. I never signed a contract. It was a hassle getting my money back. read more

This was first time I had contractor servicing my lawn. I started with TruGreen because they looked trustful and my son was using same company for 4 years (happy). My lawn was getting over my head with weed control so I hired TruGreen and I can tell you it did change in first two month and did improve much more to the end of season. It didn't get perfect because they can only do what conditions allow them to do. I didn't have good soil from original landscaper back in 2002 when he seeded my 1+ acre yard with sprinkler system. I am happy with service which was very well organized with a little note every time what they did and what my lawn needs. Thank you for good service. John T. read more

We changed services because for the last 2 yrs, we weren't really seeing results. Our neighbor had True Green, so we gave it a try. Our lawn is now thicker and greener than ever before. I especially like the fact that it is not harmful to our pets. Thanks True Green! read more

i signed up for one year.I paid in advanced. My grass still looks bad. After my one year was up. They came out without without me knowing about it and is now trying to charge me $86 for something i never asked for. No contract was ever signed and never received a receipt for the money I gave them upfront. read more

Our $29.95 special cost us $312 dollars! Do not do business with these people. They charged our credit card on May 11 and still have not given as a credit after repeated calls. Do not believe their promises. read more
