In the first…read moreyear of business my interest rate went from 4.5% to 11.25% which doubled my initial loan payment. I reached out to the SBA officer for the bank for help. There was no help offered. I even tried to utilize the property with a different business model and was turned down because the property would have to be rezoned. Within 2 years I defaulted on the loan. They auctioned off an $800,000.00 piece of property for $362,000.00 instead of putting it on the market to possibly get a much better price. My home(which was paid for) was also collateral. They foreclosed on my home and actually declined offers from my family members to purchase the home for a fair price. I have worked hard all my life and served my country in the US Army. So much for my American dream. I lost everything. Beware!!!! They have no empathy or desire to do what's right for their customers. Shameful way to do business.

I have had an account for years with first citizens and never had a problem with them. Until…read morerecently on November 28th i deposited a check in my checking account at the. ATM for the deposit in and checked on my phone and it was there next day the money was not in my account like it usually is. So I waited until the following Monday went to the bank and tried to find out why deposit was taken out my account and they informed me they do not have anything to do with the atm machines that I would have to call a number they gave me the number and when I called whoever the that was informed me that they did not deal with customers I would have to call another number so I did. Well that person said they seen where I had deposited the money and the bank for some reason put a 2 day hold on it, so by Wednesday I would have the money in my account. Wednesday came and went and no money was placed in my account then I called back and was told ow there was no two day hold they can't see any money I deposited, thankfully I have a screen shot of the check from my checking account so I have proof I did deposit it. They said they would have to do a investigation they said someone would contact me in a couple days by phone and let me know what's going on waited almost a week and called them back to where I was informed they do not call people to let them know what's going on . Then the person I was on the phone with was so rude and was yelling at me they I told them that I needed to speak to there manager to which someone else came on the phone and informed me that it could be 10 business days until I could see if I can get my money put in my account. And when I kept asking why my money was taken out the account no one can give me a reason. I have never seen a company tell so many different stories and no one not one person has helped me in getting my money out in my account. Now I have to just wait and see when they are going to decide to give me my money. The check was not a huge check but it's still my money and first citizen has no right to take money out my account and hold it for no reason. The check was even from another first citizen account. I have been very disappointed and will probably be moving my account after they finally decide to give me my money back. The customer service was horrible at best and taking money out of peoples account should be illegal. At this point if this helps one person not get money taken from them from this bank then I'm glad I wrote this yelp review
