And…read moreTWICE AFTER I've called their company to NOT DO MY YARD, they keep coming to do my yard anyway. Why do I not want them to do my weekly maintenance? Because I painstakingly cultivated, fertilized and re-seeded my yard MYSELF to get my grass beautiful again. The drought watering restrictions ruined my yards. And Deans comes back anyway with their standup lawnmowers, Weedwhackers and air blowers on my yard. Not once, but TWICE after calling them to NOT COME ON MY PROPERTY! I can't recommend Deans Services to ANYONE. Dean Services is simply too big of a company to be able to handle CHANGES/POSTPONEMENTS in your service requirements. They can robotically mow, Edge and leaf blow your grass every week in seven minutes or less and come and spray your yard for pests on schedule... But don't go off schedule with them. They can't handle changes. They simply some back and mow, edge and blow your yard anyway. They've cost me an incredible amount of pain and a lot of money. I painfully cultivated my yards with compost to make a rich soil and then by hand, fertilized and re-seeded my yards. Then a lot of prayer and a lot of watering began. I contacted Dean's Services to make them stop coming to my house and running over my freshly fertilized/seeded yard, so they wouldn't destroy the hard work I had done. Allowing the grass seed to germinate and grow back. What happened? Deans Services crew comes anyway on Tuesdays and runs their standing lawnmowers, Weedwhacker and the air blowing member of their team blowing over my front and backyards destroying the hard work I worked so hard to restore. I made sure with their company that they would NOT come back on my property until August 18, 2026 at the EARLIEST. On August 11, 2026, the guy with the standup lawnmower from Dean's comes over again to my yard as I'm screaming at him to get off of it! I didn't make it in time to stop the guy with the weed whacker from doing my backyard when he should've been on my property. I told the guy on the standup mower that there were notes to stay off of our property. He gives me the same answer that the first guy did who came on my yard after I told them NOT to come on my property. The Deans lawn mowing guy says "nobody told me I couldn't do your grass. I didn't know that." Can you imagine how you would feel in my position after you call the company to tell them not to come on your property yet they keep coming anyway? Can you imagine how you would feel when the same thing happens to you A SECOND TIME? I absolutely know that I can't physically do this a third time. So I'm very hopeful our grass comes back this time. I will hire a smaller company/independent contractor to do our yard and a separate company to do the pest control. That way, at least I know that my requests will be followed. Deans Services is the first negative review I've ever written here. I've always been able to find something positive with companies. But they are pathetic. They cannot handle changes to a weekly schedule and follow it. Unless all you care about is weekly lawn maintenance and you know that you'll NEVER EVER have a problem in your yard, even if unforeseen watering restrictions come into effect, I wouldn't hire them to do anything on my property.

9/22/26 We had a great visit by Service Manager Josh Mathews yesterday. We are in our 80's and just…read morefinished landscaping with new sod, sprinkler system and plants. We had numerous bushes and shrubs taken out to avoid trimming. Mr Mathews reviewed the water system, made sure settings were correct, and found a broken sprinkler than we did not know about. When he left, that was fixed as well (not his job). He was very personable and pleasant, going out of his way to help. The regular irrigation person has also been helpful, settting the current machine which requires lighting, magnification and even referencing a You Tube video to figure it out. The prior machine was great and I (female) could control everything on it with no trouble. Current machine is Hunter X-Core. You will find many, many people looking to You Tube for some help with it. We have had some "bumps" with Massey over the years but currently the lawn and irrigation are doing well. We prefer getting a paper in the door when service is complete, but they stopped that.
