He is also NYS certified to use these chemicals. When he showed up is where the problems started. First of all, he pulled up in an unmarked SUV, and I thought he was a friend of the neighbors. Then, when he came into the house, he used the little syringe type of dispensers to place the chemicals on the corner of the windows. Guess what, the ants come from other places as well. Anyways, then he went outside and sprayed. Great. He then gave me a receipt and told me that in 2 months, he would call, or I could call him for re-application. That raised a red flag - who calls whom? Then he said that if we have any issues, to call him back in a week, and he would come and re-apply. Needless to say - we have issues, and 3 phone calls later, and 4 days, he has yet to call back. I give up, and am moving on. Chalking this up to a loss. Our chihuahua found something white and sticky in our backyard in early evening, and while we got Sannt to drop it before he swallowed any of it (we thought), we still worried that it might be something poisonous. We called Ashland, which had positioned a handful of rat traps in the corners of our yard (we live in the city near its prime bar district). We called Ashland's emergency line and, within 15 minutes, Vincent (an Ashland Technician) called and assured us it was not what had been placed in the traps. He had us text him a photo to verify. Just a great, reasonable local service, which (BTW) has altered the frequency of their visits and number of traps multiple times at our request, without complaint.

To come back to remove the trap was an additional $80. Why wasn't the first removal included in initial cost? I understood it was an extra charge for EACH squirrel caught, but the first removal should be part of the initial cost. I regret calling Jack for deceptive pricing. I discovered that we had some sort of flying, stinging, and very aggressive insects that had…read morerecently made a home in our backyard shed, where I keep my lawn mower and gardening tools. Although this was a good excuse to not cut the grass, I knew that I need to get them removed. I tried using a retail wasp and hornet spray that I had in my garage, but their nest was inside of the shed and out of access. After reading a variety of reviews for bee and wasp pest removal companies online I called Jim Busch, anticipating that I would get an answering service since it was Sunday afternoon. Jim answered right away, and was extremely friendly and helpful. I told him that this was not an emergency and could wait until during the week. Jim told me that they had a call in my area, and could be there in about an hour. Jim's son, Jim, came and identified them as ground wasps, which are extremely aggressive. He suited up, and sprayed the nest inside of the shed, and then used a pump sprayer in and around their access point outside. He then removed the nest, and reminded me to wait 24 to 48 hours to make sure that any wasps that were out foraging return and are killed from the pesticide that he had sprayed. Do I recommend them for insect removal? Most definitely. Prompt, courteous, professional service at a reasonable price.
