I don't like to leave a negative review, but I think it is important to share the treatment experiences of different patients. Within their preliminary paperwork, is a paragraph stating that they do not verify insurance. Now, my secondary insurer's website does show this facility as a provider. Of course, as is always the case, they advise verifying with the provider. The reason is simple. The provider knows, or should know, wether or not their contract is current. So here's the rub. If they aren't currently in the network, the patient is stuck with the balance that Medicare doesn't cover. As I have stated, I have over 30 years of experience as a clinician and have dealt with insurance as a provider and as a patient. I have never, in the entirety of my career, seen a provider with such a clause. CAVEAT EMPTOR, let the buyer beware. We place our trust in clinicians and don't expect them to place us "on the hook" for their lack of due diligence.

The reception staff was making comments about my tardiness right in earshot of me, and the nurse who took me back to the room didn't even acknowledge me. THEN Dr Zagar came in the room and was JUST AS RUDE as everybody else. That was enough for me. I felt like I was answering to a police officer, not walking into a caretaker's environment. I could not have felt more unwelcome. I left in the middle of the appointment when Dr. Zagar when she literally scoffed at one of my answers. UNBELIEVABLE! I gave them three chances to turn it around-did not happen. I will not go back there, and if you choose to be a patient there, make sure you are EXACTLY 15 minutes early and that you have a list of your medications. If you don't, be prepared to be treated like a criminal And bring a jacket- the mood is cold and easy in this place. I wish you the best. Doctor Mark Torke is a horrible doctor…read more He had 0 bedsides manners, and when he came in the room, he made me feel stupid. Like I was in an interrogation. I am 18 with severe shoulder issues. I came in the room confident and ready to get things fixed. As soon as he came in the room, he flustered me. I was shocked by the way he was acting. He said there was nothing wrong with me, and I should be exercising. The list of backhanded comments he gave me was plentiful. When I told him I physically could not without pain, he said "I don't care." Such a salty old man. He then forgot to discharge me, and I was stuck in the room he humiliated me in for 30 mins. Such a horrible experience. This isn't a post made out of anger for my results, he simply is the worst doctor I've ever been to, and he is the only one on that list! Never come here unless you want a doctor only coming for a paycheck and not your health!

Today is my 2 week followup on 6/2/23, with new X-ray to see if it's healing properly. Dr. Torke is a no nonsense, shoot from the hip type of guy, which is fine by me. I like to know the facts, what to do to heal, and be on my way. If I have questions, Dr. Torke is thorough with the answers - or finding answers. So far, I've been satisfied with my treatment in the past and now. The office staff is pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. If I have questions, they answer then or find someone with the answers.

At one point, he begrudgingly flashed the MRI on the screen for mere seconds -- not to explain, but to silence questions he seemed offended by. His "treatment plan" felt rushed, based on snap judgment, and ignored key findings; his ego seemingly given more weight than thorough clinical review. My wife left in tears, and I left still in pain with incomplete answers. Medicine is not just about knowledge; it's about listening, synthesizing, and caring enough to explore the full scope of a patient's symptoms. On that front, Dr. Moreno failed spectacularly.
